The service was not that great. The staff member almost acted like he was to busy to even serve us. There were very few tables inside that hadn't been clean.. but the icecream was ok. I received an email from Cold Stone wishing a "happy birthday to the coolest person we know" with an offer to "buy one get one" on an ice cream creation. The team at the store made what we requested, but when the manager, Drew, refused to honor my birthday coupon because it was not connected to my phone number. The coupon does not say anywhere on it that a phone number is required to use it. Additionally, Drew was condescending and not at all helpful, not offering any solutions. He said I could sign up for some account, but that the coupon still couldn't be used even if I did that. I don't understand why Cold Stone would send me a coupon and not honor it. Why even send the email in the first place? My birthday experience was anything but sweet. Craving a milkshake and I saw on there website that they had them so I stopped in. Definitely worth stopping in. Had a vanilla and a strawberry shake. They both tasted great. Sometimes when you get a milkshake they are so thick you can't eat them right away. These were not like that they were made perfect that you only needed a straw to enjoy. No spoon necessary. The one next to El Paso on Rittenhouse. The only reason I gave them three stars was the taste. Great waffle cones and mixed ice cream. We had never been before and thought we would try them out since it was right next to our location. Remember the Star Wars scene when Luke walked into that cantina bar and everyone looked at him like he was a freak though they actually fit that label? That is what it felt like. Three young workers all silent staring offering no help at all or information even when we made it clear it was our fist visit. HORRIBLE customer service. We felt like we were aliens or invisible all at the same time. I'll stick to Brewster's and Dairy Queen. Half the price and just as good without feeling like we were not worthy. Always love coming to this cold stone has great management and a great staff most of the time. Went today and waited in line about 25 minutes because only one employee was working "Cate" ... she was doing a great job to be by herself! Then out of the blue another worker comes from the back named "Zandra" and she asked to help me I told her the ice cream I wanted and she put them side by side. Never asked if I wanted them mixed. I corrected her and she mixed them I said with peanut butter and cookiedough and she only put peanut butter I corrected her again and then she got my order correct. She worked very slow and needs more practice. I hope for all the orders Cate did by herself with no help were due to Zandra being on break. If not I think a manager should always be there to make sure all staff members are working. read more

False advertising. Specifically checked website to make sure it had frozen yogurt. It said it did. Waiting in line we saw the sign on the wall for the frozen yogurt which stated to check to see what the flavors of the day were. When I asked what they were, I was told "Oh, you mean the sign on the wall? Actually we do not have frozen yogurt and I have no idea why that sign is there." Really???? They have great flavors at Cold Stone. My favorite is, oddly enough, cotton candy mixed with sweet cream and strawberry in a waffle bowl with rainbow sprinkles and extra mini chocolate chips, YUM! My kids like the kiddie cones, of course. Usually with chocolate or cotton candy. My hubby does the coffee milkshake, which is very thick and delish. My only issue is price. Guess you get what you pay for though. It would be nice if the employees were a bit more efficient at times too. I mean, when there's a line of people waiting, maybe you shouldn't just sit there and watch the milkshake machine blend? Probably a good idea to work on the next order in the meantime. Efficiency and multitasking are key elements of good customer service, IMO. All in all though, definitely premium ice cream. Oh, and their to go ice cream sandwiches are super yum, too! read more

I'm giving them 5 stars because the girls worked so hard but I just wanted to point out the grown man that works there really made me uncomfortable. The way he talks to those girls is truly up for debate. What he talks about is absolutely inappropriate and I'm not sure why this man still has a job and is not arrested.
