I started with the Peppermint Bark which is made with creamy white chocolate ice cream, swirled with crushed peppermints and dotted with rich chocolate chunks. The texture was so creamy that it pretty much melted down the side of the cone. And I really couldn't taste the "peppermint" flavor. Because I wasn't satisfied, I decided to order the holiday Sugar Cookie flavor. This one was much better! Outside of the holiday flavors we enjoy our regular two flavors: Cookies and Cream (made with Oreo cookies) & Just Ask (White Chocolate Ice Cream mixed with a combination of frozen peanut butter and chunks of OREO Cookies). Gelati Celesti is a must have even in winter! Service was decent and the decor was minimal compared to other locations.

Today... today. They posted that that banana ice cream is back to which I replied "what??? Really?" Something to that effect. They read the message within a minute and did not reply. Within 10 mins I drove there to get it and it was "sold out". Twice now they've wasted my time. I fault whoever is behind the screen managing their social media. Scoop it is! I love the bright colors they use to decorate with. They also sell some swag, like tshirts. Staff was great. They had no problem filling in requests for samples, and explain what flavors they had. There were many flavors to choose from, including non dairy options. Just Ask is one of my go to flavors. It s a vanilla or white chocolate ice cream with peanut butter, and cookies I assume oreos. I opted for Just Ask and chocolate with peanut butter. I clearly was looking for peanut butter. Parking is tricky, as it is on the street. There is a small lot in the back, but there is designated spots for other places. There is also another lot behind it but that is for the antique business. I love that there is a spot to get water from a dispenser and is free. I seriously love that.

Folks, LA MICHOACANA is also the absolute best ice cream in Richmond for many reasons, some which I'll mention. Did you know they make their own? All the wonderful myriad of flavors of ice cream and fro-yo are all homemade. While I couldn't have possibly tasted them all, the ones I've tried are incredible. Their paletas or pops are also delicious. I LOVE the coconut one, and one day live on the edge and try their tres leches or the one with the 2 oreos embedded within. I chose the corn on this day because I recently turned on a co-worker to their ice cream and he raved about the corn or "elote." You DO NOT have to speak Spanish as one reviewer stated with 1-star. Had they been patient, used google translate, made an effort, (as one oftentimes has to when travelling abroad), they would have been well rewarded. Go here for the amazing ice cream, paletas, and venture in to the savory land of their delicious street elote.

It was a slow weekday so we didn't wait for service. The person taking our order was nice and quick to take and make our order. I ordered a small cup with three toppings. I actually only wanted two as I thought three was a little too much for that small of a cup. My order was pretty simple with reeses and chocolate chips. Watching the order being made I quickly realized its alot of work making the rolled ice cream. I would estimate about four minutes per order and mine was pretty simple. And the guy making the order got a decent workout in with the amount of effort they have to put into making the order. The ice cream was really good. I don't know that it was so good to justify the wait for the order being made (if it were busy and there were multiple orders I could only imagine the wait). I enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

We got the chocolate molten lava cake with berry compote and the vanilla panna cotta. When brought to our table, our server also brought a small sauce pan of chocolate sauce to drizzle over the top of each. Both were so rich and delicious, I couldn't pick a favorite. Service was quick and very friendly and the restaurant was cozy and warm. Can't wait to return to try more of their pasta, and have the desserts again!
