You can't go wrong with Gelati Celesti. This location is near Libbie on Grove, so parking can be a bit of a bear at times. They have both inside and patio seating, which is nice, as well as an array of delightful ice cream flavors. I had a strawberry milkshake on my most recent visit, and it was great. Another gem located in Richmond! The interior is so sweet! Whoops... was that a pun? Hehe. The interior is so bright, and the accent wall is covered in ice cream scoops. How neat! They had so many flavors to choose from. They also had a cooler case filled with ice cream cookies and ice cream in containers. The pricing was on point! They had some sugar flavors for this interested, and they tasted great! My kiddos raves about their treats! There is a lot of seating inside and a few outdoor seats. There are couple locations in the city. They have a lot of interesting flavors. I had two scoops banana and salty caramel on a waffle cone. The waffle cone are huge taste fresh made. The banana has a good flavor doesn't tater artificial, the salty caramel is just ok, not the best I ever had. read more

This building is so unique and has been a million different things in the past few years, but I think that Gelati Celesti + the business office in the back (real estate?) is perfect. I love the decor of all the Gelati Celesti stores. Modern, not doing too much, and with an emphasis on ice cream! This time, I got the almond amaretto and it was sooo good. There is something about this ice cream that is truly exemplary. It has a deep, rich flavor that you just can't get from a bucket of ice cream at the store. My absolute favorite is anything vanilla based: The regular vanilla, butter pecan, vanilla chip, and Just Ask. This is a favorite treat for our family after a hard week of working and juggling kids. The ice cream is mid. I asked for gelato in a cone. Instead of putting the gelato in a waffle cone, they decided to educate me on what gelato is. Which requires a very broad assumption about my experience and knowledge in life. To top it off, they then overcharged my friend. Even though I complimented the server's eyes to make it clear, and already paid. I can only assume yet another broad assumption was made. Will not be back. Unless you look like a stepford wife or you just walked off the golf course, in my experience you will not enjot your time. She was just so incredibly rude about it and then also said I needed to pay for both flavors even though it was a misunderstanding. After a rough day of medical appointments, my hubby felt I needed a treat. We popped in this afternoon and Ellen helped us. She was so friendly and kind to us, there's no way she could have known the frightening news we learned today, but she treated us like we were close friends. We were offered samples of flavors when we couldn't decide which of the many flavors they offered that we wanted! It was a lovely day, and we ate our gelato outside. I really enjoyed the Honey Badger flavor- a nice subtle honey flavor with bits of caramel waffle pieces. My husband really enjoyed his Just Ask flavor that consisted of cookies and cream with peanut butter and white chocolate. I went inside to dispose of our ice cream waste and had the opportunity to speak with Ellen again. She was so compassionate and kind that I would return to this location, although it is out of the way for us. The ice cream was pretty darn yummy, as well! This is the old Boyer's Ice Cream space and I am happy to report that they kept the most important part: Just Ask ice cream.
