I hate having my time wasted because I have so little of it. I used to love the banana ice cream. One day I went to get it and it was.. just gone, so my boyfriend and I left and went to scoop to get their banana pudding which is amazing. Today... today. They posted that that banana ice cream is back to which I replied "what??? Really?" Something to that effect. They read the message within a minute and did not reply. Within 10 mins I drove there to get it and it was "sold out". Twice now they've wasted my time. I fault whoever is behind the screen managing their social media. Scoop it is! Or anywhere else for that matter after that. read more

A nice location with outdoor seating nearby. The indoor seating area is pretty large. There is some nice natural light that shines through in the front. I love the bright colors they use to decorate with. They also sell some swag, like tshirts. Staff was great. They had no problem filling in requests for samples, and explain what flavors they had. There were many flavors to choose from, including non dairy options. Just Ask is one of my go to flavors. It s a vanilla or white chocolate ice cream with peanut butter, and cookies I assume oreos. I opted for Just Ask and chocolate with peanut butter. I clearly was looking for peanut butter. Parking is tricky, as it is on the street. There is a small lot in the back, but there is designated spots for other places. There is also another lot behind it but that is for the antique business. I love that there is a spot to get water from a dispenser and is free. I seriously love that. read more

Popped in after our museum touring. Plenty of seating inside. Lots of flavors and they were very kind letting me taste a few. We enjoyed our small scoops of ice cream. The Just Ask vanilla with peanut butter & Oreos was delicious. Fast friendly service. read more

I came here and got a pint to go. I was able to split it between two different flavors, which was awesome. I got the Earl gray and the brown sugar cookie dough which was amazing. They have so many amazing flavors and I'd be happy to come back and try so many others. read more

If you love ice cream, stop in. My seven-year-old daughter LOVES ice cream and enjoyed sampling flavors and landing on chocolate chip cookie dough in a waffle cone. (They have sugar, waffle, and cake cones.) I'm not an ice cream lover (crazy, right?) and found the ice cream average. I originally tasted and ordered the cinnamon oatmeal cookie ice cream, but my sample didn't come with raisins. The scoop came with plenty of raisins. Hating raisins, I threw it away (after paying) and ordered a cup of the chocolate chip cookie dough. read more

Gelati Celesti - A few small scoops for the evening. - Desserts Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

Consistently top notch ice cream! Been going to Gelati Celesti since childhood, and it's really never disappointed. If I had to pick *one* ice cream spot as a favorite, this is it. With high quality delicious product and delightful staff. And thankfully they are consistently good across all their different locations. They let you sample. I was many different ice cream for free. And have a freezer full of there more popular flavors in pints and corks that you can take to go. Their location on the boulevard is quite spacious inside with lots of seating. And some may not realize, they also have outdoor seating! At the back of their building, they have space in the picnic table. If you've never had Gelati Celesti, this is your sign. Go try it!! read more

Thursday 3/21/2024 & Friday 3/22/2024 This ice cream is legit some of the best I've had and that's why I'll always continue to go here whenever I'm in the Virginia area. I first had this spot in Virginia Beach and since trying it for the first time, I make sure to always visit when I'm on a trip in that area. It's a Virginia ice cream chain but I WISH it was in Maryland. I was in Richmond for an overnight so I made sure I went back 2 back days before heading back home. The service was solid on the first visit and amazing on the second visit: the worker was very friendly and highly generous with the portions. I sampled the chocolate decadence, brownie sundae (rotational flavor), and the duo (cookie dough & Oreo). I had to stock up so on my first visit I got a large cup of Oreo ice cream $7.95 and on my second/last visit I got 2 large oreo cups & 1 large brownie sundae cup $7.95. - Oreo ice cream * always great and my go to whenever I visit, it's just too good. - brownie sundae ice cream (a mix of vanilla, fudge, and brownie pieces) * this was pretty good and it deserves to be a permanent flavor rather than a rotational flavor. Overall, this ice cream is still some of the best ice cream I've ever had (might be THE best ice cream I've had). I'd definitely recommend and return if I ever find one nearby while in Virginia. read more

One of my favorite Ice cream places when I want a decadent treat. Their ice cream is definitely on the thicker and creamier side of the sliding scale of ice creams. They have fun, rotating flavors along with their classics that never change. My favorites include: just ask (white chocolate ice cream with oreos and ribbons of peanut butter), the banana pudding seasonal is amazing and so is their panda (coconut ice cream, fudge and Oreos). There's always a line but don't let that discourage you because they move quickly! read more

Gelati Celesti has a great reputation and it lives up to it! It's an adorable ice cream spot. You can grab a cup or homemade cone and fill it up with any of their delicious flavors. My favorite is their Just Ask which is white chocolate ice cream, Oreos, and peanut butter. However, every single flavor I've tried is top notch. They also tend to to have new and specialty flavors. Keep an eye on their instagram to be updated with any new flavors and their availability. Once you decide on what scoops you want to try add some homemade hot fudge. You won't regret it! If you want a grab and go option, they have a freezer section full of their most popular flavors and other sweets. I also love coming with a group of friends and taking advantage of any of their high tables, tables, or booth options. read more

I love ice cream so it's hard for me to be disappointed about it, but I can be very impressed about it. Gelati's is SUPER impressive with no Krpytonite! The ice cream is eye-rolling in the back of your head good. And it's been this way every time I go. Tried the pumpkin ginger spice last night and almost ate the sample spoon. I actually came for the Rock Creek Bark (which is temporary, and almost lost them another spoon). My server was super friendly, very efficient and even thanked me for coming. You will more than likely have to wait in line. They always seem to be busy, but it's a cozy environment and a wonderful payoff so you won't be disappointed! read more

Definitely order "Just ask" best ice cream in Richmond! Fresh cold and always served with a smile

After lunch at work, we were looking for something sweet and landed here. They didn't disappoint. There were many delicious looking ice cream options, but only 23 non-dairy vegan choices. I really wish more places would increase the non-dairy options. there should at least be 10 flavors. Aside from that, we couldn't step away from the strawberry with some kind of cookie in it, making it similar to my fav strawberry shortcake. This was a medium-sized cup of goodness that I thoroughly enjoyed. Hopefully, next time I come in, there will be more non- dairy flavors. read more

New day, same great ice cream! There are so many flavors to choose from and you won't be disappointed. I tried a few flavors in the store and can share some thoughts below. - Lavender: This may flavor may look a little crazy because who wants lavender in ice cream?? Answer: You do! It has this nice floral flavor - Rainbow Cookie: this is a local option where it's a rainbow cookie (a sugar cookie with sprinkles) mixed into the ice cream. It's really good and definitely worth a scoop. - Peach: This flavor reminded me of the Chikfila peach milkshake or Cookout milkshake but heavier peach flavor (versus vanilla featuring peach chunks) - Banana: This was creamy and banana flavor. If you like banana, it's worth a try! - Cake Batter Plus: I am super bias because I love cake batter, birthday cake, and anything with cake tbh. But this was a birthday cake plus cookie mix that I didn't know I needed in my life. Worth a try! - Cherry Vanilla: This was a vanilla ice cream with cherry chunks mixed throughout it. In the end, we picked rainbow cookie, cake batter plus, and lavender. I know the menu changes often but check out the photo to get an idea of your options! read more

Gelati Celesti is a staple in Richmond for having one of the best ice cream! and I completely agree with that. Sadly, i found out about this place when we already moved out from Richmond. But! every time I visit Richmond this is a must stop for me to go! I think I have been to 2 or 3 of their locations and both of them deserves 5 stars! from the surrounding, employees and the top quality of ice cream they have, they are indeed a number 1 spot for ice cream. I do not even care if its cold outside, I will tell my sister to go here to get ice cream! they also have different flavors to choose from and to be honest, I do not remember what my favorite flavor is but I have tasted a few and they are all good! you will not go wrong here since they use the best of the best ingredients here and all of their locations are so cute! I think my favorite location is the one close to scotts addition but like what I said all their locations are great! read more

This spot has so many fun ice cream flavors! I definitely think it always warrants a visit if you're in the area for the bars or the movie theater. I find the lines to be really long here and the ice cream to be expensive for the size and the fact that it's always rock hard. The quality of the ice cream is pretty good, but not really better than a coldstone. The inside also feels pretty stale, without much outdoor seating. However, staff is always very sweet and friendly! I don't hate it but it's just not always my first choice when there's other options open. read more

I feel like it's impossible to *not* love Gelati Celesti. They've adapted so well to COVID regulations, and curbside pickup is so fast and easy. Staff is still so friendly even though that means extra work to bring pints out to cars. I adore the rainbow cookie and Oreo flavors. I've been meaning to pop into a Gelati Celesti location for a minute, especially since one just popped up close to home in Virginia Beach. During my last visit to RVA, another popular ice cream spot I wanted to try ended up closing early so my friend decided to try out Gelati Celesti. Everything happens for a reason ... I loved the interior, the décor was eclectic, yet well put together. Very instagramable to say the least. The ice cream was absolutely delicious. They had an array of flavors but after joking back and forth with Kyle, the general manager (who was awesome). I decided on getting a scoop of the "Just Ask" (white chocolate ice cream with Oreos lined with peanut butter) and a scoop of "Don't Ask" (chocolate ice cream with golden Oreos lined with peanut butter) in a waffle cone. What's not to like? Good service, wonderful ice cream, and plenty of selection. Gelati Celesti certainly has the winning ticket to an amazing scoop (or two) of ice cream. Whenever I've stopped by, there is always a bit of a line, but it moves quickly. I have nothing but compliments for the staff behind the 'bar' and how efficiently they work. Additionally, the staff is always friendly, no matter how busy things get. This is truly a testament to a well-run business, and the great ice cream backs up that concept. Can't decide which flavor to get? Grab a sample(no plastic spoons here). Cup or cone, there are plenty of options to top off your sweet tooth. Creamy ice cream with natural and seasonal flavors will keep you coming back to try out what is next. (I'll be honest, I'm not a pumpkin spice fan, but their pumpkin gingersnap is utterly fabulous!!).
