Because I knew another member of our tribe would want to be there, I invited her and her partner as well. All in all, there were going to be seven of us, so my partner and I quickly headed to Babe's to warn them that we were going to have a large group. The young staff was friendly and amiable, allowing us to move furniture in order to accommodate everyone. The banana split is a create-your-own adventure, allowing the customer to choose three flavors of incomparable Chocolate Shoppe ice cream as well as three toppings!! Unfortunately, we were told that they didn't have any bananas for splits. (Cue "Yes, We Have No Bananas.") Birthday Girl was quite disappointed, but what are you going to do? While everyone else was being served, one of the staff realized they had frozen bananas that were supposed to be chocolate-dipped, so I asked if that could be used for the split. We were told yes! I don't remember what flavors the birthday girl chose, but I do remember her big smile when she got her split. When we were all ready to order my mom stepped up and had to ask her if she would sever us ice cream she only took care of my mom and step dad. Then she stopped working and taking orders as soon as her mom came in. Even her mom asked her to finish the customers in line and she ignored the entire line including the order is was in the middle of and told her mom that everyone was order was done. Which was incredibly inconsiderate and wrong. Before the mom left, she told her kid (the worker) that she has 15 mins left and should be working. After the mom left the worker continued to not help any one. Thank goodness for the manager (lady in the red shirt) she actually saw what happened and took over the line. It was our first night of our family vacation and I love coming to Wisconsin because of the people and the customers service but I guess that doesn't count for this restaurant. But the lady in the red shirt deserves a raise and the worker needs it fix her (their) priorities. The ice cream was really good (I would just go to a different location).

This visit, we picked up a small box of assorted cookies. We also got a couple of cupcakes that we planned to enjoy right away. Mine was Chocolate Turtle and the other was Carrot Cake. Thankfully, they had napkins and forks available, which came in handy. Both were delicious. The service has always been excellent, with friendly people behind the counter who make each visit pleasant. The entire visit took no more than five minutes. Easy breezy! Atmosphere: The storefront features large windows that let you see inside before you even walk in. They also bring in plenty of natural light, making it easy to browse all of the bakery items. Using their website for ordering pickup in advance was a bit of a frustrating experience, with it not acknowledging the selected bakery and having to restart the entire order (though I am not faulting this location for the franchise's technology failures). I finally was able to confirm a pickup time and place and made our way there at that time. There was no one in the bakery when we arrived, including staff, though someone did come out shortly after and I gave them my name for the order. They reappeared quickly and handed me my bag--for the price of these desserts, I was expecting a little nicer presentation than a thin paper bag with a Nothing Bundt Cakes sticker securing the bag. Also absent were any kind of instructions; are these to be kept refrigerated, or should they be brought to room temperature? I asked and received the answer, but what if I hadn't thought to ask? As far as taste is concerned, they were good little cakes, maybe a touch small for the price and the lack of presentation. They often have BOGO deals and I might take that approach if I decide to get these again in the future.
