Ice cream doesn't stay frozen and just melts when you get a pint it taste horrible don't recommend

Ordered a large Apple Pie A La Cold Stone and they didn't even mix it well. I ate most of and didn't get a single bite of apple only to find 2-3 massive chunks of apple on the bottom. Ice cream was delicious but For $10 I'd expect it to be mixed thoroughly. I'll give the kid a break because his customer service skills were decent and he didn't break under the pressure of 3 large families in line before me. Interior could use a little updating because it has been the same for more than a decade. read more

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by one of the employees. The interior is pretty clean and everything was extremely organized. I was able to ask for help about which ice cream cake to get, being that I was looking for a certain kind. They were quick to assist and I was in and out very quickly. This has got to be the worst cold stone in the area. All the kids that work here are absolutely useless and you can tell they don't want to work. Every time I've tried to come here and get a Chocolate malted shake none of them know what malt is. The Strawberry passion sundaes were good & the raspberry lemonade sorbet tart. I was surprised to see they had several smoothies and tried one. I love this place! Not because it is the creamy, customizable Cold Stone that you can get anywhere. I love this location because of the staff. Each time I've come they have given me exceptional service. Greeted when I arrived and they've taken time when my indecisiveness keeps me guessing on whether to get Coffee ice cream with cookie dough or All Lovin' No Oven (yes that is a signature concoction: Cake Batter Ice Cream with fudge, whipped cream, and cookie dough). I was there during the Farmington Art Festival and had a bad day. My phone died right when I was going to show them my deal voucher to redeem on my order. I was frustrated and was just going to pay for it as I had walked in the rain to get there. The gentleman proceeded to try and charge my phone with somebody elses charger so that he could redeem it. Who goes above to do that? Nobody normally. I walked out with a new found feeling of customer service and a tune stuck in my head after they sang because I left a tip. After a medical procedure that had me fast for twenty four hours, i was dying for some ice cream. We headed this side of town not realizing that BrownDog wasn't open yet.......... waa waa for us. Not to be detered, we wandered over to Cold Stone. This location has ample parking but it is busy, so beware of drivers not paying attention. We were the only ones in the shop and a nice young man took care of us quickly with a friendly attitude. We ordered the Apple Pie A La Cold Stone and the Berry Berry Berry Good in the "Like It" size. It tasted so good after not being able to eat! There were a few chairs and tables outside this location so it was nice to be able to enjoy the weather while we were at it. read more

We had a craving for ice cream and came here around 9 PM. To our surprise, they were REALLY busy and it took a good 10 mins for us to get through the line. I went with their Chocolate Cravings in a waffle cone. It was really good! Perfect blend of flavors and if you like chocolate it's the ticket. I find Cold Stone to be overpriced and lack luster for the most part. I try not to frequent it as there are smaller, local ice cream shops in town, but on this particular day we wanted scooped not soft served and the other place in town didn't open until later. We order some of the suggested combinations and they were ok. Nothing special and certainly not something I couldn't put together myself. The waffle cone was stale. They have a whole bunch of pre-made waffle cones and bowls and I can't imagine that they are so busy that they couldn't just make a few and then make a few more when those run out. For what we paid, I was really disappointed that the cone stale. The ice cream was fine. I don't think you get a lot for your money. The sizes are pretty standard. I got the smallest one, which was fine for an afternoon treat, my daughter got the next size up and I think I could've handle that as well, but it was almost $14 for just the two of us. I could buy a whole lot of ice cream for that at the grocery store. I think the concept is kind of neat but I also think you pay a lot for the concept. The value just isn't there. read more

Went there today and unfortunately didn't end up getting any ice cream. For starters, the line was decently long due to the people ordering taking forever and continuously changing their minds. We stood there for quite a while, but finally left. The inside was hotter than outside, and you could see the ice cream actually melting! Isn't an ice cream shop supposed to be cold? Or at least cool? I actually was getting sick to my stomach just standing there due to the heat and humidity inside. This is a really great location, smack dab in the Downtown Farmington area. Me and my friend came in here to grab some ice cream after eating Chicken King... Don't judge, this was our cheat day! When we walked in, it took awhile for someone to come help us at the front, AND the gift card machine was down, AND there were cobwebs everywhere you looked up, not to mention it looked like the freezer that held the ice cream in the front was leaking. I come to this location often, and it's different every time I come in. Normally the staff is on top of things, they always know the creations and are pretty upbeat for the most part. The ice cream was great though, I would still recommend this location, it's been up and running for quite some time now, definitely check it out! read more

Terrible employee. Walked in the store and straight from the bat this black female in her teen years is listening to music with her airpods both in. She goes "what do you want". I tell her what i want and she then gives me attitude and in a rude tone she goes "what do you even want". I tell her again. She then messed up the order. I confront her and she gives me attitude and says "that's not what you said" Then proceeded to roll her eyes at me. Then i ask her for the gummy worms that i ordered and she rolls her eyes again. She then goes "take it" and rolls her eyes at me. she refuses to fix my order when i asked her nicely. I didn't yell at her and i was willing to pay the extra amount to fix my order but I just walked out like nothing happened. This girl needs to be fired or trained better. Had the same problem with my relative at this same cold stone. This happened October 9th 2022 at around 7pm. Very disappointed in this young lady. She should know better and to take those airpods out because I told her very clear what i wanted. read more

Definitely the best cold stone i have been to. The line is typically long but the employees are patient make your ice cream to order. I have been more than i need to share unfortunately but it is because of the consistent quality. This location also seems to always be heavily staffed likely because of their heavy traffic. read more

Really unhappy with the customer service at this store. Visited this Cold Stone at 8:55 on Tuesday evening. There was a very long line...I waited 30 minutes and placed my normal order at the counter, a Gotta Have It with three different flavors layered one on top of another (one signature, and two others that just have one mix in). The associate who said he was the general manager (he was young and did not seem like a general manager...) said that the owner of the store decided to not allow layering of flavors anymore. And he claimed I couldn't get a signature flavor and two other flavors. He said the "best he could do" was give me a signature with one other flavor mixed together, but he still couldn't layer it. I had just waited 30 minutes in line and I was ready to walk out without even buying ice cream. These policies make absolutely no sense, and I spent several minutes trying to figure out the reasoning behind these supposed policies, and the fact that I can't have 3 different flavors one on top of another. I asked him if he would do it for me at least for the night, I had just waited 30 minutes in line. He caved in, but not happily and he had an attitude about it the entire time he made my ice cream. I kept watching to make sure he wasn't spitting on it, at one point he had his back turned and I couldn't see what he was doing. Hopefully the ice cream didn't have saliva in it as I ate it. I asked him if he could give me the owners contact information but he said that he couldn't. At this point I don't think I will give my business to this Cold Stone again, which is a bummer because Cold Stone does make the best ice cream, and this location is right down the road from my church. read more

I want to let Cold Stone franchise know that this location is really amazing and their Manager is really great. I personally feel sorry for him because this location is not getting good crowd. When I came today, there was a lady arguing about something and Manager was explaining her that few rules were changed because of new management. But i can say that lady was just kept arguing to him with more louder voice. That guy was completely being calm and handled the situation peacefully. She didn't listen to him and forced him to break their rule just to satisfy her. I bet I would love to say good bye to such customers if I am a manager of such place. He served me with great smile and the mixing was just so perfect. I tried to talk to him regarding bad customers but he didn't say anything about that lady and made himself busy in work. This is an unbelievably poorly managed place. It took 50 minutes today to get an ice cream. Last night we left the shop after waiting for 20 minutes. The workers are deal slow, laid back, poorly TRAINED and the whole place is clearly managed poorly. Unfortunately this was the case 3 years ago and continues to be the same. Terrible customer service!!!!!!! I was trying to be polite and be understanding of cultural differences and maybe even language barriers because the worker had a decent Indian accent. I was rushed and told the strawberry blonde did not come with caramel in it (as I'm starring at the sign that says it has caramel in it). He yells and points to the sign on the wall saying well that one doesn't say Caramel (in actuality it says Caramel as well...same order and all). After yelling "well the list I see back here doesn't have it" I tell him I can't see what you see back there but your advertisements say otherwise. He then dumps my wrongly made ice cream out on the table and adds caramel, mixes it in and hands it to me...the melted blob of ice cream. I said I don't want that...he instantly throws it away" I ask can you make a new one it's melted. He says "you already wasted one ice cream". Last night my girlfriend and I were out with the kids in downtown Farmington chasing imaginary monsters when my 4 year old decided he wanted ice cream. Coldstone it is! Except when we got there, we realised it was about 10 minutes too late. Doors locked and staff cleaning up. Just then, RJ came to the door and, much to my surprise, unlocked it and welcomed us in! I went there yesterday to get a Cookie Doughn't You Want Some in a waffle bowl and instead of chocolate chips I asked for graham cracker crust. The employee makes it with chocolate chips. Luckily I was watching him & told him, no choco chips, I want graham cracker crust. He apologies & makes a new one. I answered a call & wasn't paying attention to him while he made the 2nd one. When I got home & settled & got my ice cream out the freezer, it was wrong. He made it w choco chips & graham cracker crust, no cookie dough! I'm thinking, SERIOUSLY?!? I call up there & he apologized AGAIN & offered the next one for free. Well I didn't want to eat that combo he'd make. Hence I wanted COOKIE DOUGH so I wanted that one fixed & the NEXT one for free. He hands the phone to the mgr. The mgr was SO rude & kept saying he'd make that one over 'for free.' I said, how is that for free? The order is wrong! We kept going back & forth. So I went up there. The mgr didn't even acknowledge me. The employee made a new one & started to put the wrong ingredients in it AGAIN. HORRIBLE experience. Then the employee said to call back in a few days since things got heated. But my thing was, heated from who? The mgr? Why would HE be heated??? I've been coming to this location for years. I told the employee I'll just start going to another location. All he said was, okay. The mgr never even looked up. Until they get new ownership or at the very least management, I will NEVER go back to that location. read more
