We had one at Thanksgiving. I'm a sucker for the Red Velvet and the White Chocolate Raspberry cakes. They always bring a smile to this old face. I like that you don't need to purchase an entire cake. Tiny little shareables called Bundtinis and single serving cakes called Bundtlets are also available. Great with coffee. I just learned that they have a fundraising program for your particular organization. They also offer their rewards program "Buntastic rewards" which so far I've got a free Bundtlet on my birthday and a few other perks. Since my previous review, I've visited this cute shop several times and have tried many of the cakes. Each time, I think that I've found my new favorite. Periodically, a seasonal flavor is added and I make a point of trying it before it disappears. The cakes all have a tender crumb, are flavorful, and are crowned with cream cheese frosting. I tend to prefer the fruit flavors but truly, the ones that I've tasted are all delicious. I never thought I would like Bundt cakes as much as I do and I'm glad for my friend's recommendation. During COVID, Nothing Bundt Cakes offers a safe environment for purchase, given the smaller-sized store. Orders for the various sized cakes (bundtinis, bundtlets, and 8" and 10" full-sized cakes) can be placed online where shoppers can schedule pick-up times. When you arrive for pick-up, text the store with your first and last names and a staffer will bring out your purchase. Today, I had the Blueberry Bliss, white cake with the subtle flavors of blueberries. As soon as I opened the container, I caught the familiar whiff of blueberries. One bite and then a few others - I loved this tasty treat. I cannot wait to see the fall flavors and have scoured its Instagram page for clues to what's next (pumpkin spice, I think). This was literally the shortest interaction ever! No more than 2 minutes! I walked in, asked for the cake, paid my money. I asked, "By chance, do you have a fork?" The cashier (which was likely the owner) snarkily said, "We're not a restaurant! We're a bakery!" Well, Marsha, so is Tim Hortons, so are some Mom & Pops, & THEY HAVE FORKS!!! She was so unnecessarily rude & never smiled despite two of the other employees (assumingly her husband & daughter) being amiable & engaging kindly!!! I love love LOVE Nothing Bundt Cakes! First off, the cakes themselves are so delicious. Soft, sweet, not dry, and so many different delicious flavors topped with just the right amount of frosting. My favorite flavor is the chocolate chocolate chip and the lemon, but the seasonal pumpkin spice is a new favorite as well. This location is awesome. I don't get out to Novi all that often but when I do pop in. Their storefront is so cute and you can get several size bundts, including a little bite sized "bundtini" variety if you want to enjoy several different flavors. I typically do the bundlets, the second smallest size, and it's a perfect little dessert to share. They also make a really great gift and they can wrap them up super cute for ya as well. They also usually have a few things to sample, like a seasonal bundt and some popcorn. There really isn't any seating here but that's ok. It's definitely a "take it home with you" kind of treat. I love, love, love that this store encouraged the use of face mask and they limited the number of customers allowed in the store at once. I think it's super important still for stores to implement Covid-safety protocols as much as they can, given the current Covid climate we're in now. The inside of the store was clean, it was cutely designed, and the selection of the different flavors of bundt cakes was displayed clearly, which really helped us decide what we would want to get. We got one pecan praline Bundtlet and one lemon Bundtlet. We've only tried the pecan praline one so far, and it was goooood! It was very sweet though, so beware if you don't like your desserts to be too sweet. I probably wanted to see more pecans in the cake, but overall I think it was really good. I was first exposed to Nothing Bundt Cake through a Yelp event and I was so impressed with the little cake sample I tasted that I sought out the store in Novi. Every visit, I've been very impressed. The store is always neat and tidy, with beautifully decorated samples available. Service is always friendly and prompt. Usually I buy the Bundtlets - cupcake-sized or slightly larger mini bundt cakes. They are $4.25 and a fairly good value for that in my opinion. You also get a free bundtlet for your birthday if you sign up for their emails. They also have full-sized bundt cakes and bundtinis - mini cupcake-sized bundt cakes. The cakes are always super moist and have delicious cream cheese frosting striped so you can have a sufficient amount of frosting with every bite. I've tried several flavors at this point - lemon, pecan praline, confetti and peppermint chocolate chip. It's hard to pick a favorite - maybe the confetti. But suffice it to say that I don't think you can go wrong no matter what you pick. However, I do recommend eating your cake at room temperature. So, if you're not eating it right away and need to refrigerate it, be sure to let it warm up a bit before eating it for the best experience. read more

The picture is a bundtini, which is a baby bundt cake. I ordered half a dozen bundlets (cupcake size) for Valentine's Day and I couldn't get a picture in because we ate them all so freakin fast. Confetti and the chocolate chip were by far my two favorites. My boyfriends favorite was confetti and the chocolate peanut butter. I made my Easter order on March 22, 2024, but when I tried to cancel it, I was only told I could use a future credit. There are no refunds. I called within hours of ordering, so I will not buy from them again. I am hosting my family's Easter lunch and was trying to make life as simple as possible for me since I am recovering from cancer and did not want the stress of making dessert. It was a law that you could cancel purchases within three days of ordering. I did not relate my illness since I do not care to share my cancer with others. After reading other feedback, I decided I was not out of line to request a refund since I just placed the order. The cost for a dozen bundt Easter cakes is $37.86 after taxes; I am 80 years old and have always done things myself, which was related to wanting a refund. If the ad stated that only store credit was given for cancellations, it might help others. Just imagine a huge party or function had to be canceled due to sickness or inclement weather; the money lost. I read a review that this store credit is for only two or three months. It is very sad that a business is doing so poorly or has so much greed that it cannot refund an order placed the same day and expect it to be fulfilled over a week later. read more

I visited this location today for the very first time. I always visited the location in Troy and was on this side of town for work and thought the process was the same, to my surprise it was totally and I mean totally different. We couldn't come into the store and the sign out there said that you have to call and place your order over the phone. (the sign didn't say credit card only) I had cash on me and several people out there had to leave. The employee's that drop orders on the table were unfriendly and never once said hello or we will be with you shortly (table was dirty) no one was cleaning the table.The orders were left outside on the table without giving to the person that paid. I could have easily walked away with someone's order. All the customers that were waiting outside were very disappointed as well. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. They were so moist and the buttercream cream cheese frosting was really good and the best flavor. The frosting tasted more like buttercream than cream cheese which is great because I normally don't like cream cheese frosting. I do wish they offered just buttercream frosting as an option without the cream cheese. But regardless of that this place is wonderful! False Advertising by Nothing Bundt Cakes!!! I was excited to request my family to buy a dozen bundtinis for my birthday last week. Before my daughter went to our local store in Novi, MI to make the purchase, I asked her to choose 6 double chocolate bundtinis - my favorite flavor. I asked her to choose the flavors of the remaining 6 bundtinis. My daughter returned with a dozen bundtinis and the disappointing news that she was not allowed to choose the flavors. She was told that she could only choose between 2 flavor combinations - a seasonal thing the store does. When I checked in the Novi store a few days before my birthday, there was no indication on their menu that customers could not select any flavor combination when buying a dozen bundtinis. When I checked online on my birthday, it also appeared that customers could select any flavors in any number combination for the dozen. I sent online feedback to Nothing Bundt Cakes to let them know that I was really disappointed and to ask them to make it right so that I wouldn't have to leave negative comments in a public way. Their response? We will offer you a bundtlet of your flavor choice but these seasonal flavor selections are what we do at this time of year. Also, when ordering online, customers are allowed to choose their own flavors. However, when they reach the payment page, they are informed that cannot order any flavor choice. What kind of nonsense is that? I will share these comments as needed until Nothing Bundt Cakes makes this situation right for me. Rarely ever do I recommend cake places to others, as I tend to be a cake snob. This place sells the best cake I've ever had. The cakes are melt-in-your-mouth moist. The flavors are seemingly perfect. I normally purchase the Bundtinis and they are good. For a special occasion I purchased the large cake, so excited to share with a group of people. After cutting the cake it was not as expected, the cake was basically raw from the middle of the cake to the bottom, there was also some type of glaze on the cake that is not normally on the Bundtinis. Also, I never thought to look prior to leaving the store, but the frosting was not evenly distributed on the cake. I can't conscionably give any company that uses partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) in all their products more than one star. As a quick background of why this matters, the FDA states, "PHOs are the primary dietary source of artificial trans fat in processed foods." The FDA classifies them as not Generally Recognized as Safe and mandates their removal from all food by the end of the year (1/1/20). I obviously realize that deserts are generally less healthy but I'll stick with deserts that contain ingredients that aren't on the FDA removal list. Before knowing about their use of PHOs, I had tried a few different flavors of their bundtlets--larger than a cupcake, smaller than a cake. They were ok but nothing special---definitely not worth the consumption of PHOs. They also don't make it easy to figure out their nutrition information. Gluten allergy, peanut allergy? You're going to have to call. There was no nutrition information and no ingredients list on the packaging and neither can be found on their website either.
