My friend had us looking for ice cream cake for her ex's birthday. She said he liked chocolate and so this spot had the cake we needed. I put in a reserve and 1hr and half before we left, I went to pick up and was greeted by a nice associate behind the counter. "I'm here for that chocolate cake that we reserved on the phone." "Oh yes, we have it right here." She went, she fetches and I got rang up. "Our other associate will be doing the lettering in a couple of minutes, she just had to do something outside." It didn't take them very long to do the Happy Birthday Jason thing. So I packed it up, put it in the back of my car and off to Burndale we go. We had drinks, we had ice cream cake and it was an awesome evening. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

    a cup of ice cream

Don't waste your money here, went in about 7pm for double scoops , the scoops were smaller then kids scoops at other location, paid $20 plus for nothing.

    Black cherry, my favorite flavor.

5 dollars for a small ice cream is wild. I mean a small?! Really overpriced but good quality and service (from my experiences)

Ask to sample vanilla is a baseline must try to get a sense of the quality. The milkshakes and sundaes are great too. Moodith: A Calder Bros. Love Letter A confession from a…read moredairy addict with no plans for recovery When I was little, I lived with my grandparents in a house that still had a milk chute by the side door. Some of my earliest memories are of Gram accidentally locking us out. She'd give me a leg up, and I'd clamber through that tiny door like some pint-sized action hero. Without fail, I'd crash into the brass umbrella stand and send it tumbling down the basement stairs, which sounded like a car crash. But after landing in a heap, I'd pop up, fling the door open, and beam like Fievel finally finding his family and fitting into his giant hat. Now, Calder's might not be sliding bottles through chutes anymore, but they will still deliver to your doorstep: milk, eggs, butter, the whole wholesome package. This is a lifesaver for my 96-year-old Gram, who doesn't exactly "pop into Meijer" the way she used to. Downriver might not be a postcard neighborhood, but Calder's honestly dignifies it just by existing. But let's get real: I'm here to talk about the eggnog. This is not your run-of-the-mill jug. It's eggnog with the viscosity of wet cement and the caloric density of my future regrets. It's one of the main reasons I'll never hit my "target weight," unless that target is simply "rotund." Here's the thing...I have a dairy problem. When I was a teen, I once complained to my doctor about my loud stomach. She suggested I give up dairy. I laughed directly in her face. Given that I'm usually pathologically polite, that was basically the emotional equivalent of slapping her. If my family ever staged an intervention and gave me an ultimatum, dairy would win, and it would be the loss of a pretty good family. My addictions, in rough order, look like this: 1. Dairy. 2. Buying stuff I don't need (but swear I'll use). 3. Caffeine. 4. A practiced devotion to the unattainable (sigh/fml). 5. Hoarding premium gel pens like they're rare Pokémon. So yeah, Calder's doesn't just have a customer for life. They may very well end up as the surprise beneficiary of my estate someday. Picture it: a modest inheritance left not to wayward relatives, but to the cows themselves...my final act of dairy philanthropy.

Per Coldstone's ordering options online, the coffee house crunch cake size 8" large was ordered with request of toasted almonds and Carmel to be added in the designated space where it clearly stated any customizations would result in charge adjustments (which is fine). I ordered the cake and had not received any calls from the store regarding my order or for need to clarify. I received the cake today, 1/22/25 and this is the presentation of the cake initially out of bag/package. No mix ins what so ever (not even the basic toffee that it was supposed to have) were in the cake, it was solid coffee ice cream and chocolate cake. No add ins requested were in there either and the cake was malformed and water was in the plastic/bottom platter and coming from parts of the cake. Pictures are attached. I'm beyond disgusted with the customer service as I called your store right after receiving the cake at my family's house for my aunts birthday and the girl I spoke to on the phone laughed about the situation in between trying to sarcastically apologize and put the phone away from her to compose herself in between and then ended the call.. I've always got my orders for my families birthdays from the Allen park location because of the great service but I will never do that again. (Not that any of you care clearly) which is really what's sad. You should care. You should care what kind of product you're selling and the customer service. What if you were ordering a cake for your Mom? Your Aunt? Your Dad? I think you'd want a nice cake that looked and tasted good from the place you/they enjoy. You'd be upset if your family had this experience. There's nothing funny about it. It's disheartening. There's nothing funny about ordering and paying for a product and getting terrible quality and bringing it to a stores attention. I don't expect anything from you at this point. But I hope you don't treat others as poorly as you treated me, and by extension my family today. Do Better.
