This location has been around for years and I would stay it's consistent in keeping up its service and quality. Staff always seem very kind, and you're in and out pretty quick. I mainly order the a french vanilla with sprinkles in a waffle cone cup. Very simple but when it comes to Coldstone I really think that less is more. I remember ages ago they had a menu item called the No Fair Funnel Cake and that was always my go to, but since it's gone I'll stick to my french vanilla. Awesome and magnificent is all if my experiences at Cold Stone. I do need to say that I get the SAME thing every visit. This is not on the menu anymore, but this creation is delicious! I ask for vanilla ice cream, caramel, pecans and graham crackers! I did ask for it in a waffle cone with chocolate and nuts. I hadn't been to this location in years - used to live in the area. Went with my parents (who still live in the area) armed with a coupon and a $5 gift card. Got the Founder's Favorite which is my favorite too - sweet cream ice cream, mixed with crushed brownie, pecans, and caramel. YUM. Also ginormous so come hungry. Location is clean and service is friendly, can't ask for more than that. Only reason it gets 4/5 stars from me instead of 5/5 is the pricing - mine would have been about $5.15 without the $1 off coupon. A small with one mix-in is $3.60 which is also pretty pricey. Here's my beef with Cold Stone -- portion control. My friend's "like it" wound up being the exact same size as my "love it." I did not love it - not one bit. I do absolutely love the ice cream at Cold Stone but am really tired of getting portions much smaller than my companion's. That said, both of our "creations" were delicious (she ordered one of the signature creations with chocolate ice cream, Reece's Peanut Butter Cups and peanut butter -- super rich and flavorful -- and I mixed the butter pecan and cake batter ice creams and did a mix-in of Heath bar). One staff member was also viciously unpleasant to a new trainee during our visit, which soured the experience as well. I ordered the Valentine's heart ice cream cake. It was the first time my family ever ordered an ice cream cake from Cold Stone. One of my daughters, who nearly never eats cake or ice cream, absolutely loved this cake. I unfortunately had to delay my pick up date. The people at this location were very understanding. Normally I would give a place like this 3 stars as most Ice Cream Shops do not cater to me: A person who is allergic to Dairy. However, Cold Stone Creamery does offer those like me a few options. my all time favorite is their Strawberry Mango Banana Sorbet - its completely Non-Dairy. My wife loves this place and I am willing to pay my front teeth to see her smile/ happy. I've been to this location probably all of 6 times. Most recently was yesterday afternoon March 16th. The best time to visit is late afternoon when everyone is stuck in traffic on their way homes from work. Only gripe is the obscene prices. But to be honest, I'll probably keep paying em as long as they keep making and selling Strawberry Mango Banana Sorbet. read more

My wife and I went to Coldstone Creamery today for ice cream. There ere no other customers. The indoor tables and chairs were all upside down so there was no indoor dining. There was no outside dining either so it was strictly carry out. I asked for a banana split. The clerk stated that they didn't have banana splits but he could make me anything I wanted. I asked for raspberry ice cream and was told they didn't have I. This point I decided that a place that didn't make any accommodations for customers to sit down and had only limited options really didn't deserve my business. Every time I go to Cold Stone I order the same shake and I got a "love it" size. The shake was made incorrectly and I told the employee that it was incorrect and she informed me that it was indeed correct and that I was wrong. After that I went to the website to get some resolution regarding this and I was contacted via email from the owner, Mary Ellen Sedmak, with a HOSTILE email in response stating that "I received your complaint and you should have contacted me directly because I have a hard time believing your order was wrong" which of course what I did when I told her employee that it was wrong. You can not charge people $7 for a shake and respond back in such a hostile tone when they tell you it was made incorrectly. Customer service is NOT a priority here. read more

Sit here for 15 minutes and you will hear , " that's going to cost extra" about 20 times. That would be okay if the ice cream was even halfway decent. Not only is the ice cream terrible ( it tastes like a bland mush), the toppings were even worse. Not fresh at all. Tastes like they sit in bags for years. Next time I don't have any options I will just go to neither next door and make my own sundae. Very pathetic and disappointed experience. They have great flavor combinations and make the mixer right in front of you on the counter. Tasty ice cream, but very expensive and stingy with the portions. We regularly go to Dairy Twist in Commerce. Dairy Twist is pricey, but their portions are huge and the quality is just as good as Cold Stone. $17 for 4 "like it" small cups that were not even filled to the top. Won't be going back unless I have a coupon. read more
