A wonderful little bakery that is a bit off the beaten path in Southfield. The bakery is clean and simple, they have several tables and it was quiet during my visit. The bakery offers a smaller selection. I was there was an event, but was meeting friends later and so added some items. Everything I tried was great. The only issue I had was the chocolate was covered in cocoa powder that was a bit messy. The bumpy cake brownie was the standout, I will be back for another. Excellent bakery owned and operated by a mother and daughter team. I have tried multiple deserts that they make where all of them were delicious and oh so tasty. My favorite dessert is the Rugelach which is very similar to the Polish Kolache ( crescent-shaped pastries filled with sweetened nuts or fruit preserves) which my family has during the Xmas and Thanksgiving holidays. Multiple fillings to choose from where all of them are good based on personal preference. Other favorites of mine include the Dubai Brownie, Pecan bars (If you love pecan desserts this is a must try), and their chocolate covered rice crispy treat (next level rice crispy treat). Relative to staff and environment, The owners themselves are very personable and very friendly as they are more than happy to explain their various desserts, many of them ethnic oriented. The shop itself is relatively small with a limited number of tables but definately a comfy clean environment. Definately a great place to go sit down and enjoy one of their desserts with a cup of their full bodied Joe. Bruh. When I bit into a chocolate ball from here with CoCoa dust on it... it was my new favorite treat. I wish I was SO MUCH closer to this place to get it ALWAYS. Thanks to a Yelp event that I was able to know about a bakery called Culinary Combo privately owned by a mother and daughter - both I should say are extremely gifted bakers/pastry chefs. Treats are individually priced higher than commercially made ones from Costco, Kroger and so on ... but the brownies, lemon bars, rugelach and cookies were made from scratch. They also sell dog treats and have their own version of Dubai bars - filled with chocolate and pistachio combination. Cookies individually priced at $2 and above. Bars starts at $3.95 each slice. For breakfast, freshly bakes bagels and scones are sold, as well as freshly brewed coffee are served hot or cold. There's a table with an assortment of flavored syrup - with self serving pump at your own discretion...not a coffee lover? They also sell tea, hot cocoa and cider. The bakery is at the ground level of a residential and commercial building. It would be hard to miss for the residents especially in the morning...the smell of scones, bagels and freshly brewed coffee makes you want to have continental breakfast there before going to work. There was no music playing in the dining area but the sound of the oven and the scent of baked goods leveled up my mood to a nice day! I was greet by the daughter. She was very pleasant and thoughtful. Made me my iced coffee and packed the bar that I liked in a brown eco friendly container. The coffee was smooth and not acidic to my stomach. The chocolate bar that I had was sweet, soft and delicious. I highly recommend CCB. Just don't get lost on your way :-) it's at Franklin Road. If you see BP gas station and Bigaloria at Northwestern Highway, make a right turn in between and drive straight to Franklin Road. Make a right turn from a children's hospital...drive straight all the way until the dead end and make a left turn to a parking area ... from there you will see a big sign that says Culinary Combo Bakery. From Tuesdays to Fridays - store hours from 730am to 3 pm. On Saturdays, they close early at 12 noon. During Sundays and Mondays - no service. So this place is kind of hard to find. So you would definitely miss it if you're not familiar. The snacks and staff are pretty cool. I had a few things I liked and a few I personally did not. I personally loved the rice crispy donut. That was actually really unique and fun to eat. I was not a fan of the pretzel. I personally felt it had too many things. The place is also very cozy looking. And the smells, OH YES THE SMELLS. It smells so good you can smell it through the halls and outside. Overall there are more things here I would love to try. This bakery is definitely off the beaten path! I had to get directions from a business in the area to find it! It's well worth finding! There were so many delicious looking treats to choose from. When I walked in, it smelled like chocolate. I appreciate the attention to detail for the decor- not to mention the wide variety of desserts. It's not easy to choose, which means you'll have to visit several times in order to get a nice sampling. They offer excellent customer service. The bakery is located in an office building off Franklin and Northwesten Hwy. I parked in the parking structure when I could've drove to the back and parked right in front. So fyi pull to the back of the building, but the guard was nice and more than helpful on directing me where to go. Walking down the hallway I smelled a savory aroma. Opened the door and smelled sweet deliciousness. The bakery is decorated nicely and has a few tables of you want to sit. I especially liked the coffee nook that has cream, sugar, and a nice variety of flavored syrups. There were many options to choose from. I love this bakery! Owned and operated by Jessica and her mom, Jodie, this shop is delightful! Such a warm vibe, inviting decor, and delicious treats. I love everything about this place! I purchased a lemon bar and chocolate brownie. The lemon bar is very tasty, and if you love chocolate, the chocolate brownie will wow you. I also enjoyed a biscotti and their iced coffee. Their ice cubes are actually coffee so your coffee won't get watered down! I love the details! This is a place I want to come to sit and relax and drink delicious beverages and snack for a while. This lovely bakery is a hidden treasure located behind the apartment complex. This is such a lovely bakery owned by a mother and daughter duo. The mom has been in the bakery business for 30 years. She started out with her husband, who passed away from cancer. Shortly after, her daughter decided to join her. They opened up their first store front October of 2020. There were so many unique options to choose from such as quiche, rugelach, bars, pretzels, cookies and more. My husband and I purchased the moose tracks bar and brownie. We also got apple shaped sugar cookies. The moose tracks bar is sorta like a brookie with chocolate drizzle and reeses cups on top. It was super delicious. My husband let me try his brownie. It was super rich and delicious. Also the sugar cookies were amazing. I ate 3 of them on the drive home and I had to stop myself from eating the entire container. I highly recommend this shop. This place is hard to find (but follow the arrows and it's at the back of a big apartment building), but well worth the search! I tried three items when I visited. My favorite was the morning glory muffin: it had carrot, coconut, and raisins. This was an absolutely delicious combination of flavors and textures. It was moist and a good size. I would definitely get this one over and over again. I also enjoyed the Michigan cherry bar: it had a pronounced cherry flavor and a nice, buttery topping. Lastly, I tried one of the sugar cookies: it had a pretty good flavor and was not overly sweet like the kind you'd buy at the grocery store. This is a lovely, adorable bakery with a small fun dining space to have some sweet treats. While the space is not a large one, they have quite an impressive variety of goodies at a very nice price. The employee was very enthusiastic and kind, a nice friendly face to greet you and entice you. You would definitely pay more at equivalent bake shops, which makes it easier to get more yumminess for your money. They have a variety of cookies, brownies, small cakes, quiche, chocolate covered pretzels, cake pops, rice crispy treats, and much much more. With all of the goodies, they must also serve coffee, so it makes it a perfect spot to meet friends. I took home three treats. I tried the white chocolate cake pop, bumpy cake brownie, and a pecan chocolate brownie. All of the items were very delicious and tasted freshly baked. The kids were very impressed. They couldn't believe how good the treats tasted. This is a perfect place to order from for catering. I am not sure if that is where they get the majority of their business, but I would recommend using them. As far as a meeting place, I wish they had better signage. It was very hard to find even with a GPS. If they had a sign off the road and more arrows pointing the customers to find their location it would be easier to find since it is in the back of a building behind a restaurant and a hospital. This was one of those off the beaten path trips and it paid off. Great pastries mostly sweet with a couple savory. They also have coffee but I didn't try any. As everyone else says go to the back - following the private drive to the end of the road and drive around to the back of the building. It's hard to miss the black awning and tons of parking directly in front of their entrance. (The front had no available parking or you could park in a scary structure, so just avoid). We tried the cherry pop tarts, chocolate and cinnamon rugelach, and breakfast sandwich. Oh and a free star sugar cookie was given to my toddler. The sugar cookie bite I had was buttery and delicious, reminded me of my grandma's baking. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, flavorful cheese and eggs with bacon and a fluffy and crisp bun. The rugelach were a favorite amongst the three of us. A flavorful and not too sweet couple of bites. The cherry pop tarts were good, but a little doughy on the ends, but once you got to the middle the filling, dough, and frosting were a perfect bite. You could tell they were homemade versions with lots of pure wholesome flavor. Will definitely go back and try some more... maybe tomorrow. read more

Not where I would have expected to find a bakery, behind a condo complex in a ground floor storefront. Free parking in a lot that surrounds the condo building. I got to chat with one of the owners, she is in partnership with her daughter. She baked pastry for years as her husband was the chef, and after he passed she tried being a secretary, but got an opportunity to open the business here with a new commercial kitchen. I liked it. It is nice, and quiet, and modern, and clean. She was nice. We had the Krispy cookie, a cake pop, and a brownie. All three were really good. We have tried everything in the pictures and each item was tastier than the other. Not too sweet, which is huge for us, as we find that American sweets tend to be too sweet. My favorites are the apricot rugelach, and the banana pudding banana bread, although the others are honestly just as amazing. We will be back! It was a little tough to find, but got there in a roundabout way. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I got the Torte Stefany for my sister's birthday cake and it was just ok. It was a little more heavy on the sweeter side for me. The cake might have been too soft as well. It seemed to fall apart and crumble as it hit sliced.
