Culinary Combo is a fantastic hidden gem of a bakery. Between my husband and I, we tried probably half of the items they were offering on a Saturday morning. Everything was so fresh that we were able to enjoy a desert every night the following week :) We even picked up some treats for our dog. The owners are so friendly. My favorite item was probably the Saturday morning cinnamon roll (I'm not sure if they make them any other day of the week). I live about 30 minutes away but would come back just for that. To get here, just keep driving all the way to the back of the road it is on and turn left into the parking lot. Lovely place and worth the trip for any of your bakery cravings or needs. read more

Amazing amazing amazing !!!! This is a must stop! Every single item we had was delicious! On our first stop we got a slice of red velvet cake , cinnamon roll, cereal killer cookie , chocolate chip cookie, lemon bar & brownie. Wow we were all so impressed with the taste and quality. Wow did this bakery smell amazing from the moment I stepped in the door. I wish there was an option to attach smells to Yelp! I took some time to browse through the cases and the countertop. I didn't know where to start! After asking some questions about different items, I chose a raspberry pop tart, a pecan diamond, a Michigan cherry bar, a key lime biscotti, and a chocolate chip cookie. My favorite was the pop tart. The frosting was unbelievably good. I'll definitely be coming back for more delicious treats! read more

This bakery is tricky to find. Drive all the way to the back of the building instead of following the signs for visitor parking. They have a nice variety of treats and plenty of space to sit down and enjoy your goodies. I tried the brownie, raspberry bar, and chewy bar. The chewy bar was my favorite by far! Perfectly soft and full of flavor. The other two bars were good, but the chewy bar won my heart. The service was friendly and fast. read more

My family was the recipient of a lovely basket from The Culinary Combo when we were sitting shiva a few days ago... It was timely, as it arrived shortly after the funeral, and the treats inside not only looked good, but tasted good too. According to their website, all of their pastries are "prepared from scratch using the finest ingredients." I can't speak to their catering, customer service or pricing, but based on the basket they sent, I will definitely support this local business in the future when the need arises. read more

What a hidden gem! I was glad to find this place because of Yelp. I picked 5 different items and brought them to a pool party at my friends. We sampled each and everyone enjoyed the baked goods. I picked all chocolate items- I should have picked non chocolate things. But, I love chocolate. We all enjoyed the items. My favorite was the bumpy cake brownie- my two favorite desserts combined. This place is adorable! Definitely a hidden gem to get great unique treats. This bakery puts their own flair on some of my favorites including the babka scone. I was nervous with this one because I love regular babka so much but this was SO good. I highly recommend trying this one and also the super unique rice Krispie donuts! We received a gift delivery of the bake at home cookie dough - chocolate chip, white chocolate chip, and peanut butter overload. Directions on the outside of the container were easy to locate/follow and the dough kept well in the refrigerator, we made a few each night. Thank you for a delightful experience. Like the last poster said, a little off the beaten path, but worth a visit. Wish I had pictures but everything was eaten so quickly! The peanut butter and jelly bar was AMAZING! The jelly topping was super flavorful and paired so well with the peanut butter taste. Found this cute bakery hidden behind an apartment complex in Southfield (you would never know it's there)! They had a variety of sweet and savory pastries. Walking into the bakery smells like heaven. Only thing better would be the cookies, scones, brownies and amazing La Colombe coffee that all are made here in-house. I saw CCB on Facebook and decided to stop in. It's in an odd location but don't let that deter you. It's worth the visit! Very cute space which will be great when COVID is over. Update on Culinary Combo. This place continues to impress. They've expanded their offerings to include breakfast items (rotating selection of quiche, scones and sandwiches) and soups for lunch. Yes, they have seating available (and free wifi). Of course the star of the show is still the amazing baked goods. They also do a phenomenal job with special ordered gift baskets. Hard to find this gem. But absolutely worth it. They are around the back of the apartment building. When you walk in it smells just like the corner bakery I went to with my grandma took me to back in the 1960's. Had a cinnamon bun and cherry pop tart. All worth hunting them down. My only problem is that I live less than 10 minutes away and I'm sure I'll be a frequent customer. They are going to be bad for my waistline. read more

I stopped in to buy some goodies for an outside event a few months ago which were so tasty and enjoyed by all at our small dinner. Since then I have returned many times to buy numbers of delicious treats and mentioned one time that my favorite brunch treat was ginger scones. The owner Jodie told me that coincidently she had purchased some ginger and would let me know when I could come and try one. The call came and I raced there (not far, i live in building where shop located), bought one scone and had it with coffee and returned and bought all that were in the case. These were the best tasting ginger scones ever- light, nice taste of ginger and not too sweet! They even tasted good after being frozen and then heated in the oven. Jody who helped me with my order is literally an angel. My best friends birthday is on sunday and i noticed they didnt offer delivery on sundays so I called in and asked. First off, a couple days before our wedding, he claimed to have "quoted us the wrong price" and raised our contract to $50 higher on the dot, which didn't make sense. We had signed & agreed on a contract & price, but with only a few days before our wedding, it was too late to find someone else to provide for our many guests. So we paid the extra charge. We paid $600 dollars worth of ice cream. You'd think we'd get some kind of respect. To top that all off, we overestimated the amount of ice-cream that we needed purposely to be safe, and they had the audacity to say that they sold out and didn't have any left over, so they could leave early! They were suppose to send the left over ice cream with us. After all, we paid for it! They claimed they "didn't have enough" so they could leave early before the time period we paid them to stay until. They clearly LIED, kept the extra ice-cream we paid for, and left early to call it a night. Furthermore, they were suppose to provide a large nice stand, (the reason that drew us to hiring this company) - however, they came in with a small and completely different one. They told us they would be in professional chef hats/uniform, however, they were not. They told us they would have our menu typed up nicely for our guests, but they had a cheap, small dry erase board in which someone sloppily wrote the menu out. It was an embarrassment to say the least. I don't think this company is trustworthy, in regards to their business. I do NOT recommend them to anyone.

How "fresh" are these cheesecakes if ALL I wanted was for one not to be sliced?? Very random and also ZERO flexibility from the person I spoke to one the phone. Everything we've tried has been delicious, almost too decadent from the cakes to croissants to sandwiches. We've also had their coffees and hot chocolate. Can't go wrong with a handcrafted beverage to warm you up or cool you down. They do provide a water carafe on the house you just have to go up and get water yourself either way the cups provided. There is a side register near the exit, not sure if that's just for coffee or pickups. Haven't investigated that yet. They have some seating inside of tables and bar seating but nothing more the a 2-3 seats per table, not a place for a large group. Outside on the patio they have large umbrellas and heat lamps depending on the weather. It's also better luck to find a table that can accommodate 4 outside, although the tables are small cafe tables to it's a little cramped for 4, perfect for 2-3. They have low and high top tables available. If you do have a larger group, there is a park a block and a half up Eton that has picnic tables and benches so you can always take your treasures to go and enjoy some people watching at the park. Ample parking is available in the lot just make sure you go in the correct driveway at the north end since it's a one way in/out situation.
