Based on the reviews it looks like this location of Cold Stone is a hit or miss depending on who's working. Cold Stone never misses for me, as the ice cream has always been consistent across all the various locations I've been to in the US, but often times the scoop size will differ. At some places the workers are a bit stingy, but the other night at this location, the ladies gave a good scoop! Cold Stone is nostalgia for me, and the pricing is actually very competitive considering so many ice cream shops these days charge just about the same, or maybe a little less, but for far less product. My 1st visit. The selection was good and there were lots of item suggestions to choose from including add ins. There were nice combinations on the menu board and lots of types of items. Line was long but thats the sign of a well liked place! It wasn't too long a wait though. The staff was quick moving everyone through and friendly as well. Orders were a good portion and everything looked attractive. The ice cream bins were full and the store was very clean. The only issue was we wanted a shake and they weren't making shakes. Fast, efficient, friendly, and delicious. I have been going to Cold Stone Creamery locations for years but it was my first time at this location. The store is set up perfectly for parking entrance/exit, waiting in line, dining in, or dining outside on the tables and chairs set up next to the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and patient to offer guests samples of the ice cream. My go to is 2 scoops of vanilla with snickers. They have an almost endless selection to choose from for all types of ice cream lovers. I then proceeded to order the Reese's Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cups and the Tall Dark and Delicious cake for a birthday. The Peanut Butter Cups have the perfect amount of chocolate, ice cream, and peanut butter. It is hard to just eat one. The cake contains devil's food cake, sweet cream ice cream with brownies, chocolate ice cream with Oreo's, and a white frosting that is light and creamy. There have been a couple technical problems with cards and orders here, hence four stars instead of five, but the service is excellent and always friendly. The ice cream is great and there's a good range of flavors, although a couple I like are only at other locations (peanut butter cookie dough is in marietta but not here, peach is in decatur but not here). The current flavors as of August 2021 are dark chocolate, french vanilla, strawberry, mango yogurt, strawberry sorbet, vanilla lite, marbled cake batter, strawberry cake batter, cake batter, classic cookie dough, pistachio, mint, sweet cream, butter pecan, cotton candy, banana, coffee, oreo creme filling, chocolate, and cheesecake. I've had the cheesecake with the blueberry mix in and it was excellent. The cake batter flavors are always good with whipped cream - original is my favorite of the three followed by strawberry. Oreo creme was delicious, didn't mix in because it's a lot higher in sugar/calories than other flavors. Banana was good with peanut butter but next time I'd go for something sweeter to mix in. read more

The line was short when we got here, so there was only a little bit of time to decide on our orders before reaching the glass display. We tried a couple flavors before I decided on coffee ice cream mixed with chocolate shaving, for the java chip feels. A small cup with a free topping turned out to be $3.79, which is definitely cheaper than those fancy ice cream shops I referred to (ahem, Jeni's and Morelli's) but the serving size was also smaller. If Jeni's could offer a serving size this small for a more affordable price, I would totally make the drive out just for the ice cream. As we sat in the seating area, the line for ice cream grew longer and longer and never seemed to diminish the entire hour we sat there eating and chatting. I really wanted to love this place. I'm not sure what my other experiences have been like at other Cold Stone's, BUT the ice cream here wasn't that great. Which was a surprise, considering a regular is around $5. That translates to about.... 1 cup, maybe. When I ordered, I asked if they could put two ice creams into one regular cup. The server seemed confused, but when I spoke louder and pointed out the two ice creams, she nodded like she understood. Check back to when I was picking up my orders. Someone other than the person who took my order had "created" the ice cream, and they were two separate orders. Which is not what I even wanted, or ordered, but I had to pay for it because I'm not a rude asshole. So that was a little over $10. Which was enough, cost wise, to get a pint instead. The flavors of the ice cream I tasted weren't special in any way. I've had better ice cream from the grocery store (Publix, anyone?) that was a fraction of the cost. I got The Pie Who Loved Me (Cheesecake Ice Cream with Oreo Cookies, Graham Cracker Pie Crust and Fudge) and Cookie Minster (Mint Ice Cream with double the Oreo Cookies and Fudge). The mint taste is... nonexistent. If I'm getting mint ice cream, shouldn't it TASTE like mint, and not like vanilla ice cream with Oreo sprinkles? The Pie Who Loved Me was better, but the cheesecake taste was somehow... off.
