two cups of ice cream
Stacy G.

My 1st visit. The selection was good and there were lots of item suggestions to choose from including add ins. There were nice combinations on the menu board and lots of types of items. Line was long but thats the sign of a well liked place! It wasn't too long a wait though. The staff was quick moving everyone through and friendly as well. Orders were a good portion and everything looked attractive. The ice cream bins were full and the store was very clean. The only issue was we wanted a shake and they weren't making shakes. But we went with 2 order items on the suggestion menu board. Good flavor selection. Large portions, good flavor, nice staff, clean store. Will definitely return and recommend!

I arrived within an hour of closing to find a really long line that was basically to the standing freezer. I waited in line for about 10/15 mins to find out they were out of SEVERAL options. I suggested that maybe that had made an announcement to ALLL of the people in line waiting bc I now understood the hold up of the line ... people were having to pivot and change their orders because we weee unaware of them being out of over 5 flavors. He said no vanilla ice cream or chocolate - maybe cheesecake , strawberry and another . But I couldn't get any of the first 4 items I tried for. I literally honestly just had a random vanilla milkshake craving and wanted that and it didn't happen. So I asked for chocolate chip cookie dough - the young man quickly checked me out but I was confused bc the two young ladies were working on the slabs kneading flavors / orders together for the group of 8 that was just ahead of me - so I got home to see and realize he indeed just gave me a quick plain one scoop of idk what. VERY DISAPPOINTED to ruin my cheat night meal.

Flavors available as of August 10, 2021. The one in the far left with sign cut off in picture is dark chocolate.

There have been a couple technical problems with cards and orders here, hence four stars instead of five, but the service is excellent and always friendly. The ice cream is great and there's a good range of flavors, although a couple I like are only at other locations (peanut butter cookie dough is in marietta but not here, peach is in decatur but not here). The current flavors as of August 2021 are dark chocolate, french vanilla, strawberry, mango yogurt, strawberry sorbet, vanilla lite, marbled cake batter, strawberry cake batter, cake batter, classic cookie dough, pistachio, mint, sweet cream, butter pecan, cotton candy, banana, coffee, oreo creme filling, chocolate, and cheesecake. I've had the cheesecake with the blueberry mix in and it was excellent. The cake batter flavors are always good with whipped cream - original is my favorite of the three followed by strawberry. Oreo creme was delicious, didn't mix in because it's a lot higher in sugar/calories than other flavors. Banana was good with peanut butter but next time I'd go for something sweeter to mix in.

I ordered the Founder's Favorite which was delicious, but customer service could be better. Very dry and stale. I hate to feel like this when I'm spending my "Hard earned" money I'll see if I return when I'm in the area.

Love this location. I'm a Founders Favorite feen !!! I would have given them 5 stars. But when I order ahead my ice cream is never mixed well. Other than that.... The staff is friendly. My ice cream and mix-ins are always in stock . They make a great effort to keep the line moving.

Straight 5 stars to this place. Customer service, cleanliness is top notch. Order their ice cream cake and it's as always awesome. I ordered this time cake better confetti ice cream cake with velvet cake in it and it was so so delicious. It was so good that I can eat in the breakfast, lunch and dinner ( since I have a sweet tooth ). This is my favorite place in Perimeter area to hang out at the evening. New management seems to really care about their customers and their likes and dislikes. All I want to say is good luck and welcome to the neighborhood.

As stated before, I love Cold Stone! Weekday around 3:30 so they weren't busy at all! My ice cream is greatness!! Can't really get it wrong, not much work involved there. I get the same thing almost every time - banana and coffee mixed together, add brownie and Heath. My rating decreased first because of the amount ice cream I received. Ice cream is my weakness so when I finally eat some, I go in! I ordered a Gotta Love It (medium). I'm use to my cup over flowing and this one barely reached the rim. That was disappointing. I used a check-in and got a topping free so I decided to leave it be. Where the second star was lost was when she didn't removed her gloves to handle the money. I really wish I had paid attention to her as she cashed the previous customer out. But she kept them on when she took my dirty money and still had the same gloves on when she started the customer behind me. So not sanitary!

Mmm, ice cream. We came here as a cheaper alternative to the fancy ice cream shops of Atlanta. The line was short when we got here, so there was only a little bit of time to decide on our orders before reaching the glass display. We tried a couple flavors before I decided on coffee ice cream mixed with chocolate shaving, for the java chip feels. A small cup with a free topping turned out to be $3.79, which is definitely cheaper than those fancy ice cream shops I referred to (ahem, Jeni's and Morelli's) but the serving size was also smaller. If Jeni's could offer a serving size this small for a more affordable price, I would totally make the drive out just for the ice cream. As we sat in the seating area, the line for ice cream grew longer and longer and never seemed to diminish the entire hour we sat there eating and chatting. Cold stone is apparently the place to be on a Friday night in Dunwoody.

No good place for price charging , waffles were stale and smelly.Advice to go to Jennie's or Bruster's instead buying similar price others.

Flavor was good, however the stone was warm and we wound up with cold soup instead of ice cream. Probably will not be back.

Guess what, the food was not with her!!!! After my team communicated with her to get the food, the food was picked up at a random apartment building, packed and ready to go. All the food that was agreed upon via the contract was not in this bag and it was cold. Instead of making it right, she communicated only providing a half of the money back and to perform additional services. Really?? In the contract she was supposed to have servers for the cocktail hour and reception, so no services were performed. Its been a week since no refund was given. It's one thing to perform fraud but is another mess up a couple's wedding date. Lawyers are having a field day with this one. This makes the ice cream taste more on the icy side and it doesn't taste like ice cream. It tastes more along the lines of a creamy popsicle. This place makes their ice cream rolls taste like ice cream. I was absolutely SHOOK! The flavor was there and it was so creamy. Honestly, these are creamier than most store-bought ice cream tubs. it has a velvety nice smooth texture when you try to eat it. Yes they are still in rolls, but as soon as you put it on your tongue, it me melts like a real creamy ice cream. The owner actually explained to us that she also doesn't like rolled up ice cream that taste more on the Icey side, so she made sure that her dairy rolls were actually creamy. They do have nondairy options, but those will be on the ICE side. Nondairy milk tends to be water and plant or nut based. I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was. Shout out to this friendly black owned, and women owned small businesses really welcoming the Atlanta community! I love finding small businesses that have amazing service and quality food! I think this place is really great for big groups and just to really hang out with your friends and a plus one for the bathrooms too! Friday Urban Picnics is run by the Atlanta Street Food Coalition, and held every last Friday of the month from March to October, 11-2pm. Location is the back of Sweet Auburn Curb Market. At today's picnic, I arrived around 11:45 and lucked out with finding a parking spot. Lines were very short too - but that all changed after 12. Good Food Truck and Yumbii were probably the most popular. Westside Creamery, The Pop Shop (or maybe it was The Pop Stop), and Black Tie BBQ were there, too. I think almost all items were under $10. Today I had Good Food's $5 Poodle which was to die for: French Toast hot dog bun, beef dog, apple maple slaw, ... and then they strongly encourage you to add maple syrup and spicy mustard. Whoa that was really yummy - messy to eat though and I had sticky fingers afterwards from the maple syrup but no complaints from me :) Next time I'm trying one of their savory cones filled w/ all kinds of goodies! The Indian rice crispy treat sounded intriguing, too (curry, coconut, and candied fennel seeds)! For dessert I had a $3 generous scoop of Westside Creamery's bourbon & bacon ice cream. Just a hint of bourbon flavor and surprisingly thick pieces of bacon throughout - honestly I was expecting bacon-infused flavor but my bad for expecting anything else but the real thing!! They had some great flavors to choose but I went with bourbon & bacon since the Westside guy said it was his favorite. I've already marked my calendar to make a field trip to the next several picnics b/c there are too many new things to try! Some tips: Bring cash. If you're lucky enough to find parking in the Sweet Auburn parking lot, it's free w/ validation - look for the table outside that validates tickets. Otherwise make a purchase inside to get parking validation. When I was driving back to work, I also found free parking available under the interstate - free for the first 90 minutes.
