Such an amazing and interesting take on "icecream". I've enjoyed not only eating their product, but surely was fascinated by their creation process integrating the use of Nitrogen. Quite the extensive menu option starting from your generic Italian ice, smoothies, to even bubble tea. I got mixed berry option which were three berry Icecreams mixed with blueberries; it was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and had a rich flavor where you can enjoy the strawberry, raspberry, and blueberries mixed in. During the mixing process, they use nitrogen to continuously freeze your icecream. They also have options to use waffle cone variations as your cup. There are few seats inside the store to enjoy your treat there, but I've seen most customers order to go. If you do decide to dine in, it's fairly quiet, so I'd say it's a nice place to enjoy some icecream and chit chat. Certainly will be back here when I visit Atlanta again. read more

Like other reviewers have noted, this place is definitely overpriced. I got a small for $12.35. It's possible my price was so high due to extra "mix-ins", but still. The base price for the small was $8.39. I've never tried nitrogen ice cream before so thought this would be a cool experience. It definitely was cool to see the workers transform liquid form ingredients into a semi-solid frozen dessert. I ordered an almond cream (vegan) base with cake batter flavor, and marshmallows, graham cracker, and rainbow sprinkles as mix-ins. They also have a sampling of signature creations, as seen in one of my photos. As a birthday cake/confetti cake/cake batter aficionado, I wasn't fully disappointed by this one's flavor. The texture is definitely something. It's kind of slimy but not creamy, and as a lactose intolerant foodie, this was a plus. It just doesn't give the same energy as typical ice cream does. I feel like this place is fairly expensive for what it is, but the ice cream is good. Definitely a fun visit but probably wouldn't become a regular here or anything like that. It is a smaller location, but the way the set up is you can talk to the ice cream makers while they are making it in front of you. It would be super fun to bring kids in here so they could see the dry ice fill the space. It is fairly fun and the ability to make exactly what you want can be good for anyone you're bringing, including non dairy options. Came here for dessert in mid-October. Parking was easy to find. I got a space right in front of Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream; however, there are lots of parking in the parking lot our front and also in the parking garage behind the businesses. All parking is free. We walked in and there was a long line of people, so this gave us a chance to look at the menu, which confused us in the beginning. Luckily for us there was an employee who stood where customers walking in got into line. She was able to explain how everything worked and answer questions, then she called out customers' orders to the guys creating the ice cream. This is a place where customers decide what flavors of ice cream and toppings they want. Depending on the customers' choices, the employees put dairy cream, yogurt, or in a bowl with flavors, and the bowl is flash frozen while with liquid nitrogen while the employee spins the bowl and quickly mixes everything in the bowl together. The employee then scoops everything into a cup or waffle bowl, then adds the toppings and/or sauces. I ordered a small cup of premium cream with chocolate flakes, with whipped cream and a cherry. They made my ice cream very quickly. I liked the taste of my mint chip creation. They have non-ice cream and non-daily treats. I even saw keto mentioned on one of the menus. For me, this was a one-time visit. Even though I liked the flavors of my ice cream, I thought this was way too expensive for what I got, unless you consider that this was a show (of making the ice cream) and a cup of ice cream that I paid for. I'd rather forego the show, go somewhere else and get a great tasting ice cream and pay less. It was fun seeing this one time. read more

We went in for two reasons: the hype and the fact that they offered "dairy free/vegan" ice cream. In honesty, I can't say that I thought the ice cream was *noticeably* better as a result of the special preparation with sub-freezing temps. However, all of the flavors and mix-ins made it a pretty fun place to go because you could basically have whatever flavors you imagined. There was a line each time we went (we went with several different parties) but it moved quickly. One of the times we were there, the manager (owner?) was kind of "directing" the staff behind the counter and helping to expedite things-- and the wait was actually quite short. The layout of the building is weird. There should be a second door/exit-- but I'm sure, as lessees, they likely have no control over that; People just have to be polite upon coming and going since the front door is always crowded. read more

This is a fun place to get dessert. It's a lot of fun to watch them make the ice cream. I had only seen it on TV, but it's even more impressive seeing it in person. You can create your own flavor combination, or you can pick one of their recommended flavors. Some of the flavors that I have enjoyed include Key Lime Voltage, Bernoulli Brulee, Chocolate Conduction, and Birthday Cake Capacitor. We were one of the first customers through the door at this little ice cream shop. Cool concept - you choose your ice cream base, it starts as a liquid and they flash freeze it with nitrogen gas in front of your eyes. My first ice cream, last year was vegan base with almond flavor, coconut, almonds and chocolate flakes; reminiscent of an Almond Joy. It was ok - not much flavor. My son was thrilled with his cotton candy, blue-colored concoction. Unfortunately, we went back recently and they put SO much food coloring and flavoring in my son's ice cream (same flavor) it tasted bitter, like chemicals. One random night while I was looking for ice cream for my vegan friend, I discovered this place. Not only is Sub Zero vegan friendly, but it is also lactose free and keto friendly. Subpar Service We weren't even acknowledged when we walked through the door. Im not asking for a red carpet but cmon now..can you at least look up and say hello back when I step up to the counter. There were two people ahead of me. After about 8 minutes of staring at the young lady she finally said " I'll be with you in a minute". I said "sure" and had a seat. The young lady then tells the young man to start making our orders so he steps up to the counter and says.."who was first"....I told him the couple sitting up front were here first...then he says "oh what did you order"....the man says the lady took his order...so he walks off and the young woman says "What did you guys order again". It still took 20 min for them to get a small cup of ice cream. It took us 47 min from start to finish because she couldn't keep track of the orders. Clearly the issue here is: They can't keep up because there is no efficient fulfillment system. Too many platforms for orders. The young woman is isn't even telling him what order belongs to who. Shes just throwing stuff in the bowl then slinging it in front of him. He makes the ice cream then sits it to the side and keeps going. The employees seem to have no training or time management skills. Even if you were backed up with orders...thats when customer service comes in. "I apologize for the wait ma'am/sir...i appreciate your patience..ect. Nope. I was asked four times what my order was. Then asked if i had already paid. A dishonest person would have walked off with free product but I was the dummy that paid $27.27 for some crunchy a**, OVER frozen ice cream that took 40+ min to get. SMH.
