Very cool ice cream shop, where you can see the employees use the nitro to turn the cream and add-ins into ice cream. I love that they have so many options of alternative milks, creams, toppings, etc. Therefore, it's a great spot for the health conscious individuals. Service was quick, and the prices are reasonable. There's plenty of seating outside, with a few limited tables inside. The ice cream itself was ok. I ordered the banana cream pie. Flavor was great; however, most of the add-ins become very crushed during the transformation process (graham crackers, nuts, etc.); I prefer a bit a crunch in my ice cream.
Like other reviewers have noted, this place is definitely overpriced. I got a small for $12.35. It's possible my price was so high due to extra "mix-ins", but still. The base price for the small was $8.39. I've never tried nitrogen ice cream before so thought this would be a cool experience. It definitely was cool to see the workers transform liquid form ingredients into a semi-solid frozen dessert. I ordered an almond cream (vegan) base with cake batter flavor, and marshmallows, graham cracker, and rainbow sprinkles as mix-ins. They also have a sampling of signature creations, as seen in one of my photos. As a birthday cake/confetti cake/cake batter aficionado, I wasn't fully disappointed by this one's flavor. The texture is definitely something. It's kind of slimy but not creamy, and as a lactose intolerant foodie, this was a plus. It just doesn't give the same energy as typical ice cream does. Overall a very refreshing summer treat for a hot night. The workers were super patient with our large group as well. They have limited seating in-store but a slightly larger section on the outside patio.
I feel like this place is fairly expensive for what it is, but the ice cream is good. Definitely a fun visit but probably wouldn't become a regular here or anything like that. It is a smaller location, but the way the set up is you can talk to the ice cream makers while they are making it in front of you. It would be super fun to bring kids in here so they could see the dry ice fill the space. It is fairly fun and the ability to make exactly what you want can be good for anyone you're bringing, including non dairy options. It is not a quick visit though because they are freshly making the ice cream there for you! Hopefully when you go there won't be a line.
Clean atmosphere, extensive menu options, well lit and fast service. All flavors were delicious, and watching the process of making your own ice cream was pretty cool. Prices were a bit high but it's the experience that goes with it.
Came here for dessert in mid-October. Parking was easy to find. I got a space right in front of Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream; however, there are lots of parking in the parking lot our front and also in the parking garage behind the businesses. All parking is free. We walked in and there was a long line of people, so this gave us a chance to look at the menu, which confused us in the beginning. Luckily for us there was an employee who stood where customers walking in got into line. She was able to explain how everything worked and answer questions, then she called out customers' orders to the guys creating the ice cream. This is a place where customers decide what flavors of ice cream and toppings they want. Depending on the customers' choices, the employees put dairy cream, yogurt, or in a bowl with flavors, and the bowl is flash frozen while with liquid nitrogen while the employee spins the bowl and quickly mixes everything in the bowl together. The employee then scoops everything into a cup or waffle bowl, then adds the toppings and/or sauces. I ordered a small cup of premium cream with chocolate flakes, with whipped cream and a cherry. They made my ice cream very quickly. I liked the taste of my mint chip creation. They have non-ice cream and non-daily treats. I even saw keto mentioned on one of the menus. For me, this was a one-time visit. Even though I liked the flavors of my ice cream, I thought this was way too expensive for what I got, unless you consider that this was a show (of making the ice cream) and a cup of ice cream that I paid for. I'd rather forego the show, go somewhere else and get a great tasting ice cream and pay less. It was fun seeing this one time.
It was an exciting experience to learn about the liquid nitrogen freeze processing! We picked Dragon Breath as we were told about breathing out the cold air from each pops. Didn't realize it was a larger version of the colorful cereals. We thought they were a form of ice cream. Regardless, we had some fun blowing out cold fog from our mouth! $9.49 - Dragon Breath If you're needing the Wi-Fi password, make sure to pay first! As the guy kept repeating the price to me over and over and over again at least 3 times when I asked for the WiFi password. While he did that, the product wasn't even ready yet. My friends and I were a bit annoyed at the moment he did that.
Absolutely the best ice cream I've ever had (and I've had A LOT)!!! It really is an experience kids will love. Our son couldn't stop looking at how the nitrogen was making the fresh ice cream right in front of our eyes. Service was excellent and can't wait to go back again!
Nice after meal treat, after getting stuffed at Iron Age Korean BBQ, which is right across the parking lot. Service was fast, friendly and right on point. Pretty cool to watch them use nitrogen to freeze the cream. Small place, with outdoor seating. I made my own flavor with strawberries and mango.
My customer experience was very pleasant. We were greeted immediately when entering. The owner asked if we'd been there before, and then explained the menu and offerings. I opted for the brownie a la mode with a vanilla ice cream, add pecan topped with caramel and hot fudge. It totally hit them spot. Would def return, and guys, they stay open pretty late on "school" nights. Lol! Staff was great!
The Basics: Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream is a chain restaurant of nitrogen ice cream where they make the ice cream in front of customers. The menu is vast and there are a lot of flavors and toppings to choose from. This location has some interior dining and a small outdoor patio area. Things I like: I enjoyed the variety available at this ice cream shop. There are so many flavors of ice cream and toppings to choose from. Things I didn't like: I did not love the ice cream here. The texture was not creamy and smooth and the flavor was not the best. If I am going to indulge in a chain ice cream location, I would much rather take a trip to Cold Stone Creamery as the quality there is much better. Overall, I did not love the ice cream here and I would not plan to return.
This place was just OK. I went with a pre-designed combo... the birthday cake capacitor, but I replaced an item with brownie bites and added fudge and caramel syrup on top. For $11, it was a cool one-time thing, but i def won't be running back. Maybe I should have tried something else. IG/TikTok: @ChrissyEatsAtl
This is a fun place to get dessert. It's a lot of fun to watch them make the ice cream. I had only seen it on TV, but it's even more impressive seeing it in person. You can create your own flavor combination, or you can pick one of their recommended flavors. Some of the flavors that I have enjoyed include Key Lime Voltage, Bernoulli Brulee, Chocolate Conduction, and Birthday Cake Capacitor. I have also enjoyed some of the flavors of the month, including Lemon Poppy Seed and Eggnog Gingerbread. My only complaint relates to the payment process. The employee asked if I wanted to include a tip when I paid via credit card. I told them that I would give them a tip with cash. I later found out that they also added a tip to my credit card total.

Such a fun and unique ice cream experience! The ice cream is incredibly creamy, and I love that there are so many customizations and unlimited flavor options to choose from. Watching them make the ice cream fresh using liquid nitrogen is such a cool experience, and it makes the whole visit feel fun and interactive. Definitely a must-try if you love ice cream and want something different! read more
Such an amazing and interesting take on "icecream". I've enjoyed not only eating their product, but surely was fascinated by their creation process integrating the use of Nitrogen. Quite the extensive menu option starting from your generic Italian ice, smoothies, to even bubble tea. I got mixed berry option which were three berry Icecreams mixed with blueberries; it was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and had a rich flavor where you can enjoy the strawberry, raspberry, and blueberries mixed in. During the mixing process, they use nitrogen to continuously freeze your icecream. They also have options to use waffle cone variations as your cup. There are few seats inside the store to enjoy your treat there, but I've seen most customers order to go. If you do decide to dine in, it's fairly quiet, so I'd say it's a nice place to enjoy some icecream and chit chat. Certainly will be back here when I visit Atlanta again. read more

Hello Eddy,…
Found an ice cream place open late after a wedding and wasn't disappointed. Nitrogen is a cool (maybe sub-zero even) concept. My brownie was better than expected and the owner even checked to see how everything was afterwards. read more
They offer a variety of things here. I wasn't too impressed with the flavor or taste of their frozen yogurt or ice cream. The process of making it was cool to watch though. It's not your typical ice cream place...you have to pick a flavor and there's cream options and toppings that can be mixed into the ice cream or had as a topping. That wasn't too clear to me or explained well when I first walked in, but I guess I also could have read the menu. Menu alone took a bit of time for me to understand as it has a lot on it. Came in on a Monday night and the person behind the counter wasn't too helpful or clear with choices or options I could have especially being my first time there it wouldn't have hurt for them to exercise a little bit of patience and explain in a nicer way what I could get. The biggest reason I don't think I'd return is the flavor of the ice cream. They also have things like pancakes, boba tea etc. This is a place that may be good for people that a lot going on with their ice cream or like lots of things in their ice cream like nuts, cookies, etc. and don't have a particular taste to their ice cream. read more

If you have a massive craving for ice cream I would consider going here but if you just are curious or want the experience , I would pass. This place was stacked full and we waited for a long long time. Because of the hype and the nitrogen ice cream experience we thought it would be worth it. It wasnt. The ice cream passes as okay and sore bought ice cream would simply be less hassle and better. The experience part maybe makes it better if it wouldn't take as long. They seem to have a system on who does what but it's also very messy for my liking. Also do not go into the restroom because then you won't want to eat your ice cream as the filth will ruin your appetite. When we got done with waiting and paid my ice cream had already started melting due to the wait. It's just not a nice experience and I would suggest going elsewhere. read more
We came here after my child's doctor's appointment as a treat. She had the watermelon flavor which didn't taste like watermelon at all. It melted rather quickly, which was upsetting for a child. I had the green tea bubble tea which was absolutely disgusting. The bathroom was in horrible condition and looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day.We won't be back! read more

The Strawberry ice cream (it is blended with something J can't recall) is absolutely amazing. I had it once last year when visiting town, and I dreamed of it ever since. My daughters and I finally got to go back recently, and I got the same exact thing. It was just as delicious as I remembered! Not cheap, but totally fresh and amazingly tasty. read more
One random night while I was looking for ice cream for my vegan friend, I discovered this place. Not only is Sub Zero vegan friendly, but it is also lactose free and keto friendly. A little pricey for ice cream, but nothing surprising considering ice cream generally goes for this price range at specialty ice cream shops. They have multiple different flavors to choose from in addition to mix ins and toppings! There are so many options that you can basically create whatever you want. The portions were more than any other ice cream shop I've ever been to. Also the customer service was incredible. There was only one employee working, and despite online/to go orders constantly coming in, she was still very attentive, prompt, and helpful. She explained the whole menu to us, gave us suggestions on how and what to order, and answered all our questions. She had leftovers from the previous order and gave it to us for free as well. This service alone made me want to come back, and I definitely recommend this place to all my friends. read more
Listen up! If you want ice cream that actually stays cold and melts slowly. This is the spot. You can make whatever ice cream you want!! YOU CHOOSE the flavor or mix of flavors and they add the type of milk YOU want and then freeze it right before your eyes. The experience + the taste makes this my New number 1 ice cream parlor!! read more

The name itself had me at hello cause I've enjoyed playing mortal kombat in the arcade, My go to guy in the game!! If ever sub zero was craving something cold and refreshingly sweet I'm sure he'd go here! Sweet tooth cravings are easily satisfied in this place. Feel free to try one of their signature flavors or build one of your own diabetic cravings which are freezes up literally using a nitrogen process. That's the fun part watching your liquid sweet concoction turn into ice cream delight! You've been warned. We are not responsible for cavities or huge amounts of sugar intake. read more

We decided to try the nitrogen ice cream. For the start we ordered kesar pista as the indian ice cream flavor. The kesar pista ice cream was okay. I will give this place another try and will try another flavors also. The place was good and cleanly sanitized. The owner was also good and was able to understand our needs properly. read more
I was surprised that the consistency to the ice cream was actually quite creamy considering it freezes with liquid nitrogen in less than 5 minutes. I enjoyed the citric flavors of their citric berry specialty. It was yummy, but soooo overpriced. $15 for an "xtra large" that I could finish by myself if I wanted to. I wouldn't come back at that price point. read more

Subpar Service We weren't even acknowledged when we walked through the door. Im not asking for a red carpet but cmon now..can you at least look up and say hello back when I step up to the counter. There were two people ahead of me. After about 8 minutes of staring at the young lady she finally said " I'll be with you in a minute". I said "sure" and had a seat. The young lady then tells the young man to start making our orders so he steps up to the counter and says.."who was first"....I told him the couple sitting up front were here first...then he says "oh what did you order"....the man says the lady took his order...so he walks off and the young woman says "What did you guys order again". It still took 20 min for them to get a small cup of ice cream. It took us 47 min from start to finish because she couldn't keep track of the orders. Clearly the issue here is: They can't keep up because there is no efficient fulfillment system. Too many platforms for orders. The young woman is isn't even telling him what order belongs to who. Shes just throwing stuff in the bowl then slinging it in front of him. He makes the ice cream then sits it to the side and keeps going. The employees seem to have no training or time management skills. Even if you were backed up with orders...thats when customer service comes in. "I apologize for the wait ma'am/sir...i appreciate your patience..ect. Nope. I was asked four times what my order was. Then asked if i had already paid. A dishonest person would have walked off with free product but I was the dummy that paid $27.27 for some crunchy a**, OVER frozen ice cream that took 40+ min to get. SMH. In will stick to my grocery store ice cream. Thanks though. read more

A bit pricey, but worth my buck. My boyfriend and I make it a tradition to come here every time he visits. We love the texture of the ice cream and being able to make our own combinations! Watching them make the ice cream is always fun as well. HIGHLY recommend trying the coffee/nutella combo with added chocolate chips! I recommend this to all my friends when they are visiting, since you can't find it anywhere else! read more

Stopped by here to get some desserts after eating at next door Korean grill steak house. The line was long to get ice cream when we got there but we went ahead and stayed on the line to get the ice cream nitrogen experience. After getting the desserts we felt that the normal scoops of ice cream were a better route. The ice cream did not feel/taste creamy and one of the flavors we ordered was a bit too sweet. The experience of nitrogen oozing through the bar was fun and the customer service was great. We just did not enjoy the ice cream much. read more
