One thing that stood out to me was the area where all of their cheese and meat items are - you could make a mean charcuterie board with what they have to offer. We will definitely be doing that next time we visit! The real winner though was the deli - we ordered sandwiches to take to the pool with us. They were made while we walked around and grabbed more items - we ordered The Tuscan, The Longhorn, The Classic and an Extreme Cheese. All four sandwiches were really good considering it wasn't some fancy sandwich shop. They use Boar's Head meats and cheeses too and we will definitely be ordering more sandwiches to try next time. Safeway has been bringing it lately…read more If you read many of my past grocery store reviews - you will quickly learn that I get sooooo much genuine bliss from visiting local grocery stores. I've even dedicated whole birthdays - to visiting grocery stores. Perusing well stocked aisles - especially when the words 'organic' and 'natural' grace them - is where I often get my dopamine highs :) Recently Safeway has been serving up some solid grocery store finds. Their berry selection has been 'berry' good. In fact their blueberries are some of the best around. I will often stock up on multiple cartons and will even freeze some of them for cold fruity weekday snacks. In addition to carrying solid berries - their produce selection in general is varied and reliable. I still adore Grocery Outlet and many of the other quality grocery stores in and around the area - but when I have a basic shopping list - I know that Safeway knows what's up. Though the current handleless paper bags are definitely not serving. Anyone. Trust.

I was bummed that they didn't have 1of the items I was looking for, but I bought a bunch of stuff and it was surprisingly under $200. They also had the new Alani flavor in stock which I was so excited to try and the Chobani Chocolate Covered Strawberry coffee creamer that I'd never seen before.
