As would be expected of any chevron they have very good windshield squeegees and soapy water. They stay open until10 pm which was great in a small town where most everything else closes by 8 pm. What was not expected was the lower gas prices. We had filled up in the valley thinking the remote location in Arnold would result on higher gas prices. Not so. Staff were also very nice. read more

My girlfriend and I decided the three ladies tending to this service station/convenience store/deli are members of the local Anti-Service Hospitality Union. They were rude, unprofessional, and listless. They advertise, "triple-decker," sandwiches, when they're clearly double-decker and the sandwiches take 20+ minutes to make (we ordered two). When my girlfriend asked one of the attendants if they had chicken salad it was met with a curt and unnecessarily abrupt, "NO!" Then there was the lady roaming around and couldn't figure out what to do, tend the cash register, or go assist in the deli. Stopped here to pick up some eggs and the female employee was standing outside smoking a cigarette (at a gas station mind you)!! My husband wasn't greeted with a hello, but with, "Are you a local?" Um, what does that matter...do you discriminate? This individual had just been outside smoking a cigarette at the gas station, and was so worried about Covid-19 that she didn't have a mask on, but wanted to verify we were locals. Wow came to Arnold a few days ago and the snow got so bad that we had to stop to put chains on. We stopped here to put chains on, get gas, and maybe a bite to eat from the deli. If you are not a local don't come here. They are very rude and unprofessional. We were having a hard time putting our chains on because it was so cold and our car was so so low. I will admit we did take at least 30 mins to do so but in that 30 minutes an older lady came out and rudely asked us to leave. I stated we are just trying to put chains on and we will be on our way. Little later she came back stared at us and I told her we'd be leaving soon. Some local plowers came in and told us how she is and that they bought us a little more time. We felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome that we decided not to go into the store. we stoped in murphys and got the best food at a local grocery store and great customer service and they even let us use the bathroom. This deli used to be Arnold's best kept secret. But, not anymore. I use to work in close proximity to the deli so ate there frequently. Now, I am not working, I still go in and eat or phone order and pick up. The food is delicious as the owner, Debbie, is a great cook. She has a special hot food dish daily, along with sandwiches to order which include your choice of homemade salads...pasta salads, Asian salad, or chips And the fact that it's alongside the Chevron station, has no bearing on the wonderful and fresh menu offered. These are the BEST sandwiches in Arnold, hands down. The closest competitor would be the Deli at Big Trees Market, but it's a distant second. In addition to a great sandwich menu, they also have a fine selection of salads (made fresh). This place has has a gas station, a small sit-down deli, and a well stocked mini-mart, including items from the deli. Parking is not well marked but they do have parking, both on the Highway 4 and the Dunbar road sides. We live close by, and so far, all the service has been great.
