This place is a low-key winner and I'm here for it. My friend wanted to pick up some snacks in Priceco and asked if I wanted to come inside. Grocery stores are truly my kryptonite and I knew I would throw down - if I stepped inside, but being that we were going to be out for awhile, and that we were nowhere near a cooler - I figured I would have to show some restraint. From the outside Priceco doesn't look like much - but step inside and prepared to be impressed. I was. They had soooo many of my favorite things. Their produce section was solid. Their frozen section was on point. Their snack selection was what's up. Their drink selection was fantastic. They truly had it all! The only section that I was not feeling was their meat department. That section of the store had a strong aroma that I was not a fan of. But don't let their meat section of the store deter you from all of the epicness that surrounds you in this grocery store gem. I was taking pictures left and right with my phone to get my visual grocery fix and to remind myself of the well curated selection of items that Priceco carries. The Sonora area is blessed with a wondrous assortment of grocery stores - and I'm excited to add Priceco to the list. Trust. read more

Friendly, helpful staff, in a clean, older grocery store. Selection of produce is great with plenty of organic produce to choose from. They have a nice meat market with butcher's on hand to answer ur questions. I enjoy their deli, for they have sandwiches made to order and Monday thru Friday everyday there is a "special of the day sandwich", or they have premade sandwiches or wraps if u just want to grab one for a picnic or a hike. read more

Over the years I've been through a lot with PriceCo. To think of a few positives, the store is a smaller size so not overwhelming, and they have some items the other grocery stores don't. However, they also have a lot of expired foods (check your dates), and when they have rude clerks, those are the clerks that seem to stay there forever. Today I was inspired to leave this one star review because the bagger made a mistake, didn't put one of our bags into our cart, and made the experience miserable. I found out about the missing items at the car, and my family went back into the store to ask for the items. Well, half of them had been put back on the shelf. Any other store, the bagger would've run after us with the bag, right? Here, it's like the store doesn't care that I paid for four items that I'm going home without. And instead of taking responsibility and saying he was sorry, the bagger practically shouted at me when I asked about the items, as if I were to blame for what happened. A new low, PriceCo. This store is a total failure. The Deli department has to be voted the worse deli in Sonora. And the meat department all meats are freezer burned. However they have good garlic bread. read more

I work at a local retail and I'll tell you, Priceco in Sonora in the Junction has the best meats and produce! Their prices are comparable.

They have the best grocery store deli sandwiches in town! I used to go to Safeway but not any more. Out of curiously, I had to measure their "6 inch" sandwich before digging in, and sure enough it was 8 inches (and loaded!). Plus, they're only $6. As for their groceries, they're fine although I don't usually shop there since it's a little farther than other grocery stores in town, and the store has kind of a bleakness to it (maybe the lighting?). There's a few things they carry that the other stores in town don't, like La Perla tortilla chips and the big bottles of nigori sake. Their produce sales are also quite good. Get there early in the day for their stuffed bagels, which are a buck something, delicious, and will fill you up until lunch. read more

This store has the worst deli food I have ever had ! Macaroni salad dry and flavorless ! Fried chicken dry as the Mohave inside ! I've had some bad food in my life but this Deli gets the spit-out trophy , inedible for this old Goat ! read more

Now you are checking people's credit cards? I had a bad experience today in your store when your cashier asked me to show my ID with my credit card number. Even though my credit card uses the chip method she spent some time looking at credit card and driving licenses. I will keeping eye in the next couple months checking my credit card alerts. I get alerts through my e-mail. Normally I don't shop in your store. Last time I did some shopping before this incident was in 2013. I am very upset that some sensitive information as my home location where I live was given to a cashier. read more

This store has the highest prices and rudest employees in Tuolumne county. Check your reciept I am often overcharged and the children working take forever to fix their errors. They consider a sale as 3 cents off. Dont waste time go to a store that offers real sales. Rude Rude workers, long lines and slow. Be sure to check experation dates too. read more

Priceco foods of Sonora is located conveniently in the junction shopping center, fairly central to the city of Sonora and not too far from outlying communities a bit higher up the hill such as Twain Harte or Mi Wuk Village. Priceco foods is about an average sized grocery store with a decent selection of groceries and fresh produce. There are plenty of places to park in the large shopping center parking lot including several handicap spots. Once inside you will discover a great little produce section and market. They are priced lower than all other grocery stores in this area and competitive to the super center type big box stores in town. If you are from out of the area the prices may seem higher than what you are used too. Remember that the delivery trucks coming out of the valley have to travel further to get to this area. Once you factor that in you will understand how the prices here can be higher than other areas but still make it one of the lowest priced places in town. P.S. If you are not from California you will discover many things about us that will blow your mind. My personal favorite being that we will give a free cell phone to anyone that lives here, but charge you .10 cents per bag when buying groceries. Absurd I know. Although not the stores fault, that's all on the State. Maybe I will review them next. read more

Went there yesterday and was informed their ice cream freezer was not working. Deep discounts were to be had on all sorts of Gooey treats. This store does have dreams of becoming Wal Mart but has a long way to go because their windows are filthy. read more

Ok here we go again!!! Went to the store,and I can not figure out, EVERY time and I mean at least 6 times in the years they have been open, we buy ice cream. It has been consistently bad. Bought fudge bars last week and they had ice on them under the wrapper and the outer part is gooey and old. I keep saying stop going there, but then I get my hopes up. I am absolutely 100 percent NEVER going again. read more

I like this store. We live nearby, it's convenient, and the stocking staff is always friendly and knowledgable. I know my way around by now, and the cashiers are always nice and chat a little when I leave. After reading other reviews, I agree that the store could be cleaner.. but it's not gross by any means. After sitting vacant for a few years, the space which was previously occupied by Lucky's Supermarket and then Albertson's has been filled. Priceco has been open a few months now and I am extremely happy with the store. Priceco is a basic supermarket - no fancy frills like coffee shops and olive bars that get you to buy more than you really need. They have great sales and offer double coupon days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Senior discount on Tuesday is 5% - I went in the other day without makeup and was given the senior discount even though I am still a few months short of that milestone! If there is something you want that isn't stocked they will do their best to order it for you. read more

Most customers are not wearing masks and there is a sign on the door implying that it isn't that important. REALLY? While I was checking out a woman brought in 2 magazines to return as she "already had them at home". She asked if she could exchange them for new ones. The checker said yes and the magazines were left to go back on the shelf.....I don't care if you don't want to wear a mask. But I do care that you are shopping where I shop. Which won't be here ever again....Happy COVID cooties shoppers. I will stick with vendors that meet state guidelines and care about my health and their employees. read more

Until today, I loved this store. Today, however, I saw at least 7 people without masks, 4 in the checkout area. I approached the manager to alert her. She said that mask wearing can't be enforced. I said "You could ask them." and she said "No". If this store doesn't care about the community's health, I don't care about this store. I will never go back. read more

Told manager that my ice cream was bad, he just said that the freezers broke down but he made the call to sell it anyways!(at a discount) Be very careful when purchasing items that need to be at required temps, glad I didn't get sick. I still shop here but not frig or freezer items. read more

Priceco, please stop firing your great staff. I LOVE coming here for my lunch each day. They have a new sushi bar and it is FANTastic! The owner is very nice and helps whenever he can. I love having a relationship with the cash register folks. Yolanda, Abel and EVRYONE else is fantastic. The older lady in the bakery/hot food department is craby, but everyone working under her is amazing. Please support local business and come to priceco, they carry stuff from cosco so I dont have to drive there. I definitely recommend coming here. read more

Make sure you examine the items you're buying closely. I bought some cherries on sale @1.99/lb. I got home and opened one of the bags - half the cherries were rotten. I opened the other bag to find the same thing. I was astounded that their produce department would put rotten fruit on the shelves. If you shop there, definitely keep your receipt - you'll need it to return the trash. Once a grocery store starts to stock their shelves with rotten produce, it's a fast hop, skip, and jump into "out of business". By reading the other reviews here, they must already be on the financial ropes. read more

The store is dirty. Stand out front and just look at the windows. Covered in old dirty tape from old posters. Inside badly needs to be remolded. However a good cleaning would help. Employees leave cigarette butts and trash near the benches out front. Trash can 10 feet away. Compared to Safeway and SavMart Priceco is way behind the times. read more

I'm a long time Priceco shopper. The produce is what keeps me going back. It is always fresh and tasty. The owner is so accommodating he will order an item you haven't found on the shelves. As an example I love Campbell's Pepper pot soup. Few stores carry this as it's an old time favorite. He will order it and phone you when it comes in. The store carries a huge selection of Gluten free foods and other items for those of us with food intolerance. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to be of assistance whether it be the produce, meat, deli or bakery departments you can depend upon the quality. read more
