When I did my consultation with Dr Su, she was so friendly and informative and I commend her on having both types of LASIK done on each eye to be an excellent doctor. From the moment I checked in to the surgery to check out, everything went so smooth. I was in and out in less than 1 hour. Your call center is ill informed…read moreand cannot correctly answer basic questions and does not have enough common sense to say "I don't know and let me find the answer for you. Instead they say "yes we can do all of this for you" and they can't. They are also lacking basic phone manners. I made an appointment for a routine eye exam for new eyeglass lenses AND a diabetic eye exam. They assured me that the appointment would be scheduled with a doctor that can do both which is what I asked for. "WRONG" They did not acknowledge nor make an appointment for a routine eye exam for me, only the diabetic eye exam. I was told their focus was not routine eye exams for new lenses. I verified that these services were covered by my Insurance company before making the appointment and verified the coverage before writing this review. When they told me that I would have to pay $59 fee for each eye exam, I asked them if they verified my insurance and they said the do not verify insurance, they only go thru medical. Had they verified my insurance that would have seen that everything I asked for was covered medical or not!!! I only chose them because another appointment choice elsewhere would have been the end of Jan 2027, which was unacceptable. What kind place is this??? The only thing I can say good about my visit is the lady that checked me in, the doctor that did the diabetic eye exam and his assistant, were great. They were the only thing good and HONEST about my visit on yesterday!!! I will never do business with HEA again and will bad mouth them every chance I get. Management has some issues to be resolved.

Since then, the care has become less personalized and more generic. My new complaint is the new service charge of 2.5% when using a credit card. Supposedly it does not exceed their CC charge and does not apply to debit cards (which I used) but a CC charge is a cost of doing business for the convenience of your patients. This seems like a way to boost revenue and had me grumbling the whole time there. They also stopped taking AMEX which was another kicker. If it wasn't for Dr. Jhaveer and Debbie, I would be looking for another eye doctor.

Dr. Scott Segal is a professional at what he does and he was very kind, informative, and caring. I did thorough research into who I should pick to go with for my lasik surgery and I'm glad to have picked him. I'm currently recovering from the procedure and it seems to be going great. Dr. Scott also gave me his personal number in case I have any questions or concerns. All information regarding financing, prescriptions, and scheduling were easy to follow.
