I really enjoyed coming to Coffeecito yesterday mid morning. Nestled in a quiet area of downtown behind Clarks, they have adequate street parking and public lots near by. The yard of the establishment has outdoor seating for nice days where you can enjoy your coffee and pastries while the birds chirp. Walking in you step into a remodeled historic home that has seating areas downstairs and upstairs (Yes, I said upstairs). I was pleasantly surprised that their menu had so many typical favorites i.e. cold brews, hot coffees and even season Christmas drinks. I had the peppermint mocha and it tasted delicious. I also ordered the croissant sandwich as well as the bacon quiche. Both were heated up by the staff but you could tell they are baked fresh by a local chef. They were extremely busy but the staff worked as promptly as possible so the wait wasn't entirely long. My only qualm with the coffee was that it was barely warm. I didn't mind because I drink my coffee so fast but if you are ordering and taking it to go than you might want to order it extra hot. Other than that I will definitely be back to try more items. This is a very quaint and inviting coffee shop. But the prices are outrageous. $3.50 for just two espresso shots. I was willing to go ahead and give it a try. Until I asked for a little bit of cream for my two shots. They charge a dollar for cream. $4.50 for 2 shots - and that's without a tip. I have never been to a coffee shop that charges for cream with espresso. I went to the Food Court next to the Fox Theater and got four shots for $3 and no charge for cream. And it was delicious! Good luck with those prices. **In response to the comment - take it up with your help rather than insinuating that this was not my experience. What I have written was my exact experience. I was with two friends who were also aghast at charging a dollar for a little cream with espresso shots. I even repeated my question in response to her telling me that cream is $1.00 extra. Hidden gem! A very quaint, clean, and touché ambience. First time here. Beverage options are varied with fresh baked goods and burritos. Bathrooms are clean ( tp dispensers are a bit tedious). Great location and beautiful inside and out I ordered the crème brûlée iced latte and got into a small argument with the girl taking my order. I simply asked for no cinnamon whether that be cinnamon syrup or cinnamon powder. She said it didn't come with any. I was looking at the menu because maybe I read it wrong but sure enough it said cinnamon vanilla and caramel. She insisted she was right but I was looking right at the menu. I also asked for regular whole milk and she quickly said it already comes that way. At the coffee shops they always ask for your milk preference.She was extremely rude and gave an annoyed look after. It was fine. I went to go wash my hands and soon after my coffee was done. My coffee just tasted like sweetened milk no coffee taste at all.The owners seemed nice but the cashier was awful. Heard a lot about this coffee shop the last couple weeks and had to try. Parking was pretty straightforward as it's all street parking since this location is downtown. The coffee house has a historic outside yet modernized inside look and feel; super cute and quaint. We waiting about 15mins in line to order drinks and food as it was a little busy and they only have one register. The menu has cute themed beverages from coffee, to plant based energy drinks, to non coffee drinks, and food. The sandwiches and majority of main food items were sold out. Drinks ordered were creme brûlée latte iced and half sweet, dopio espresso, and el pariso energy drink. All the drinks were tasty and had a great balance of flavor, Alyssa, the barista was nice too! The food ordered was ham and cheese croissant and the bacon quiche which were both warmed. The croissant was lacking a little flavor and was still cold in some spots despite being warmed. The quiche had the same problem and was still cold in the middle/on the bottom. The flavor of the quiche was great but didn't get to enjoy it because the temperature being off. Seating inside was also limited because of how busy it was. Will deff come back to try more drinks and hopefully some main food items. read more

Had to send back my latte because it was not hot and our burrito came out cold as well. For the price of their burrito, I was expecting it to be hot and fresh. It was just reheated. I've been waiting for Coffeecito to open and they finally did on 10/25. I work across the street and would always see some construction going on when walking by but no sign of it opening. I knew I had to stop by that day so I went with a couple of friends from work and love how they renovated this 1900 house to a coffee house. There's some outdoor seating and indoor seating. There's an upstairs but not sure if they plan to open that up in the future or if it's just for employees. They had an assortment of pastries & food in their display window. I saw concha cupcakes, horejitas, popitos, lemon bars, cherry & apple blossoms, brownies, egg bites, & steak salad. Their menu shows they also have quiche, croissant sandwiches, hash bowls, and enchilada bowls. They have different coffees, teas, and specialty drinks to choose from. It says limited menu so I'm thinking they'll add more once they have their grand opening. I was hungry for breakfast so went for their egg bites. They have a bacon egg bite and a veggie egg bite. You have to buy two, so I decided to get one of each. Both were tasty, topped with melted cheddar cheese. My friend got a smoothie and really enjoyed it. Another friend had their cappucino and said it was strong, delicious, and loved that they have a sugar free syrup. Another friend got their enchilada bowl for lunch and said it was good. This is such a cute coffee shop to sit with a friend and enjoy a sweet coffee and a pastry. They're just getting started so I'm wishing them tons of good luck and hope they continue well. Riverside needs more small businesses like this. I really do love the ambiance of the whole place, and I love their coffee and I would even say their coffee is better then Starbucks however their food is questionable I think they need a new way of sorting and heating as I have received on two different occasions the wrong item and then it was cold on top of that. The first was the Bacon and egg quiche and I received a veg quiche and it was cold, The most upsetting was my croissant ham and egg sandwich, I bit into it on my way to work and the egg was runny and cold! It really grossed me out..... And so I decided not to heat up there anymore and heat up when I get to work, but this time I got a beef burrito instead of chorizo and egg burrito. I really wanted to like this place but I was unfortunately disappointed. When we got there it was packed but we didn't mind waiting. The inside is really cute and they have outside seating. I wanted to order the gingerbread latte but they were all out (it was barely 11). I instead for the iced toasted white mocha and my mom got a hot dulce de leche. We wanted to order a ham and egg croissant since they had a list of items on the wall when I got there they said what was left of food was in the front in a display case which was just quiches. I assumed that bc they had a menu up it was made to order, so that's a bit confusing. We were disappointed as it was barely 11 and this was our breakfast so we just got the coffee. The coffee was good. It was $13 for 2 12 oz coffees which I guess is the standard now. At around 11 they did announce they ran out of ice (they close at 3). I was disappointed that they didn't have a lot of items early in the day. If I would have known that we couldn't order anything and what they had left on the display case was it, we would have gone somewhere else and waited to try this place later. read more

This place was super cute. Definitely a place to come for the ambiance and not a ton of coffee options. Not yet at least. Parking was a bit of a hassle. We parked a block away as there was no designated parking lot, only street parking. My first impression of this place was "wow, it's a super cute house that was made into a quaint coffee shop." I enjoyed the cold gingerbread hazelnut latte, it was pretty delicious. I wasn't able to try any food items because they didn't make enough option on the day I went. The cashier, maybe owner, said they were not as busy the prior day so she was not expecting the amount of people who showed up on that Monday. The feel here is so homey and cozy. For the size of the place I felt like there was more than enough seating inside and outside. There was an inside area that I was unable to go to but I did hear there was a good amount of seats upstairs. Although they didn't have a lot of coffee options, I feel like they will start to expand their menu the more popular they become. I finally decided to try this coffee shop that I have seen being hyped all over social media for the last two months. Parking was a little challenging but that's understandable given the location. I loved the concept of an old home in DTR being converted into a coffee shop, but I found that the layout was poorly planned as the walkway between the seating area and ordering area is about one and a half people wide; this area is cut into by the overly large stairway to the small upstairs seating area. Doesn't help that the line was out the door. To their credit, they did give me my drink in a reasonable time considering that the line is 30 minutes long. However, what I received was a bit disappointing. I ordered a large plain whole milk latte and received a cup of foam. I'm not one to nitpick if I get a little extra foam, but I'm not exaggerating when I say I got 3-4 inches of foam in my drink. I went to the front and politely asked to have this corrected, and while the staff obliged, I could see the look of annoyance on their face. Once fixed, the coffee was not bad by any means, but being in downtown, there are so many higher quality choices in the area that it is hard to justify the effort to grab a drink from Coffeecito. Especially when the prices are similar to some of the nearby tried-and-true shops like Arcade, Lift, and Mundial. The espresso has a bit of an acidic and burnt flavor which I didn't particularly enjoy, but others might. I would have loved to review some food while there, but they did not have anything left except for some microwaveable steak bowls that looked like they came out of the freezer section at Walmart. Overall, it's a great place to come if you only care about snapping a pic of your coffee cup so you can prove to your followers that you came to a trendy coffee shop, but for everyone else, I recommend skipping this one for now. read more

I was excited to try this place out, like other reviews say make sure you anticipate a long wait time. They do offer a point system and it apparently texts you when your drink is ready. (It was my first time there so I didnt want to sign up for a reward program) (it did seem to annoy who im assuming is the owner, but I just didnt want to sign up for a reward system during my first visit.) It is "latin" inspired NOT latin owned. I was expecting more latin inspired flavors. Similar to what Ive had at cafecito or Tierra Mia but the drink and pastry menu kinda disappointed me to be completely honest. I ordered two drinks, the oatmeal cookie iced latte and a tea. The iced latte was a solid 8/10 and the tea was 4/10. It's all street parking (that wasn't an issue for me, I was already in the area so I just walked over) but I can see it being an issue, especially since they are always busy. They have plenty of seating: indoor and outdoor. Cute spot for pictures but as far as the actual flavor and drink choices, I won't be back. read more

Friend and I were so excited to try out this new place after coming across an Instagram Reel! Wait time was about an hour - I'm not sure if they anticipated how popular the coffee shop would become as the line was out the door. After receiving our order, we decided to hang out for four hours (till they closed) and the line continued to be out the door throughout that timeframe. If you plan on coming by, anticipate a long wait time. I ordered a matcha latte with soy milk and was very disappointed. I could barely taste the matcha and felt like I was drinking just soy milk. My friend ordered a hazelnut latte and, similarly, said she could barely taste the hazelnut. Overall, cute place to hang out but won't be coming back as the drinks aren't worth it. read more

Excited to see a new coffee shop in riverside so I decided to meet a friend for afternoon lunch and coffee. Was blown away by the popularity when I saw the line out the door. The line was very slow to move and I waited about 25 minutes before placing my order. I quickly realized that the reason the line wasn't moving was because the person who was taking orders really struggled with everything on the menu and actually handling the register. Any question I had about the food/drink they needed clarification from the manager in the back. This was fine considering they are a newer coffee shop and I believe they are still finding staff. We opted to sit in the outdoor area because the inside was quite warm with little air circulation. The cafe and outdoor seating area was nicely decorated and had a nice feel. The coffee itself was average and the oatmilk overpowered my cold brew (asked for a splash) but I really enjoyed the barbacoa burritto (other than the fact that it was still a bit cold on the inside). I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon but I know they are new so I will hopefully try again in a couple of months to see if they figured out the nuts and bolts of how to properly operate. read more
