As many are mentioning here, hours seem to be arbitrary. Went out of my way off highway for coffee, I showed up around 8, they're supposed to be open until 10pm, workers and friends sitting around with door open, drinking, tell me place is closed. So it seems they just close the place when they want to have fun. Some additional friends showing up nearly ran into me while pulling up to the spot as well. I guess if you're local or a friend of the owners it might still be a good spot. First time I went they were out of regular coffee as well, espresso was decent. read more

Like many other locations in New York, I've had Coffee Time bookmarked for a while, but never visited until today. We decided to come here for coffee before scouring old yearbooks at the Mahopac Library, and I'm sure glad we did! The space is small but super clean and well decorated, with chalkboard menus and adorable crystal chandeliers. There's also ample seating at cafe tables, and an extensive selection of not only coffee, but also beer, wine, and cigars. Pretty fancy! The proprietor / barista, Daniel, was very friendly and chatty. He included Albanian Coffee on the menu as a nod to his cultural background, and I look forward to trying that on a future visit! Daniel also makes a mean cup of espresso, and it was so good that I had two! My boyfriend is a cigar aficionado, and bought one as well. We haven't found a cafe that also functions as a cigar shop and wine bar, so Coffee Time is a truly unique addition to the neighborhood. Although we didn't stick around to sit down, the cafe looked very comfortable, and the upstairs space was perfect for reading or hanging out with friends. This is a true hidden gem right off of a main road in suburban Mahopac, and we look forward to coming back again and again! read more

I was driving by and decided to stop in for a cappuccino because I love small coffee houses. THIS one is fabulous! My cappuccino was so good I almost went back in for a second one! I will definitely make it a point to drive in that direction again to try some of their other coffees. I also noticed they had wine, which I will have to check out next time. I love the decor in the place and the assortment of pastries and baklava! I have to try one on my next trip! read more

Nice place for coffee, everything looks clean and new which is great. Definitely try to come here again. Good spot for work or reading upstairs. They have almond and coconut milk options which is rare in this area big plus for me. read more

I have been to this café two times. The first time was a bad experience, but I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try a second time. The first time I had coffee there the owner and operator was short and curt with me while I was ordering and seemed aggravated that I couldn't pick something out within a 30 second window. I figured he might be having a bad day, so I didn't think much of it. I just went back there a second time, about six months later. Upon entering the establishment, the television in the coffee shop was blaring loud. I politely asked the owner if he would lower it down just a little bit. And I literally said "just a little bit." He explained to me that this is his house (verbatim) and he will keep the volume where he wants it because he runs this place. That got me very upset but I had already put my order in and decided to sit there and have coffee with my friend. At some point I got up to go to the bathroom only to be told that the restroom, which is in the common area and completely accessible to customers, is off-limits and only for employees. For mediocre coffee and pastries, especially with the attitude and general negative vibe of the place, I will never be going there again. I suggest people think twice before patronizing this place.. read more

Everyone I have talked to in town is very excited to have a coffee place close to home! The coffee is great and so are the espresso drinks. I favor the Caramel macchiato. You will not be disappointed. I have not tried the pastries but they look DELICIOUS. I love the interior design of this shop. It is very comfortable and the owners are super nice. read more

When i heard a new coffee shop opened in town i couldn't wait to try it. I decided to take my little daughter on a date! We walked in and were greeted by 2 sweet young women very welcoming explained to me where the menu was and I proceeded to ORDER AND PAY! I went and sat down with my daughter by the big window and in a tall older man walked towards the bar. Girls crossed a few words with him, he got behind the counter and then a pretty loud argument began. It was kinda awkward but I don't know any of these people so i didn't pay much attention! Girls walked out the door and the man brought me my cappuccino and blueberry muffin i had ordered. Through out the whole time the man didn't stop mumbling angrily to himself "everyone wants to leave!" "I don't believe this!" And more stuff in another language. He was clearly upset and I was uncomfortable so I decided to drink my coffee as fast as possible and brought my plates over to the counter and said "thank you, I'll leave this here!" "I am just gonna grab a napkin!" and he turned around looked over at me and asked in a very rude way "did you pay?!" I turned around to look at him and said "of course!" I told him the amount and that he should have the receipt I had just signed so he went on to look through his receipts. He found it right away and then asked if I had paid with card and I said "yes!" He proceeded to do a hand gesture to kinda shush me away without crossing another word with me. I could not believe my eyes. Nobody else there, just my daughter &I and he treats people like that? I like supporting local businesses but what a way to welcome new costumers! Place is beautiful, clean and cappuccino was alright nothing that Starbucks drive thru can't offer but i was there for the experience and this man made me not wanna go back. Finally open, old fashioned coffee house close to home with cozy chairs, free WiFi, and a large selection of edibles to go with the coffee, everything from bagels to baklava. Stopped in to check it out on a Saturday mid-morning on our way to usual rounds. Large caramel macchiato was wonderful. Will be back for sure! read more

I'm a regular at local coffee houses (shops) where ever I travel to . I check yelp and found this shop not to far off from where u was . So I stopped here around 2 in the afternoon and the shop was empty , the employee was sitting in a chair watching a soccer game . Very clean place sort like a living room nice decor ..this was no buzz or vibe that j got from the place . The coffee was just ok , I've definitely had better ,yet this is better the local D&D coffee . I prob won't be back as I was hoping for a better cup of joe and it's just not my atmosphere... read more

I was hopeful after reading two previous reviews which mentioned that there was a quiet place upstairs which was good for reading and studying. Unfortunately, there is now a sign at the bottom of the stairs which says that one must make reservations for their "private room". So, I got a cup of coffee, sat at a table and tried to tune out the music and the owner's conversations. Ah, well. The search continues. read more

Omg where do I begin? I really really enjoyed this cafe! The coffee's were very good. My favorite was the Cappuccino, it was so amazing! The food was great and I really enjoyed how they incorporated Albanian foods within there menu selection. I loved this place so much I came multiple times. My favorite place in Mahopac, we needed something like this. Really would recommend trying it out. read more
