I stood there for approximately 5-7 minutes without being acknowledged, greeted, or even told that someone would be with me shortly. Finally, I said, "Excuse me, is this still the line to order?" The employee, whose name I believe was Emil (or Amil), very coldly responded, "Yeah, but as you can see, I'm busy," while he was working with one of the coffee machines. I told him that he could have simply said, "Good morning," or acknowledged me. Instead, he shrugged his shoulders and showed no concern whatsoever about how I had been treated. As a woman of color in an environment where everyone else appeared to be white, I found the experience extremely uncomfortable and felt unwelcome. I cannot speak to his intentions, but the way I was treated made me question whether I was being treated differently because of my race. It would have taken two seconds to say, "Good morning, we'll be right with you." Instead, I was ignored for several minutes and then spoken to in a dismissive and unapologetic manner. Customer service and basic courtesy should apply to everyone. Unfortunately, this was a very unpleasant first experience, and I will not be returning.

Bidwell Perk absolutely nailed it. Everyone working there was genuinely friendly and provided excellent customer service. They clearly use high-quality beans, and as someone who drinks coffee black and is admittedly a bit of a coffee snob, that matters. I also grabbed a ginger snap cookie, and it was everything I hoped for: perfectly gingery without being overpowering, soft, and wonderfully chewy. We were only there briefly (mostly due to the prompt service) since we were just passing through on our way home, but if we'd had more time, I would've happily lingered and enjoyed the space. I'll definitely stop here again the next time I'm in the area.

Wow, here's another place I had never been too! Glad they hosted Chico Chambers meeting there because as a drive by it never attracted me as it looks outdated on outside.... Not to mention the location. But I am glad I went as it's been beautifully renovated inside to be both vintage country and modern. Two styles I love together. The owners did a great job remodeling, bringing this dated building into a stylish urban setting. The feel was warm and cozy. The coffee was really good and not bitter. They have tasty burritos, mini quiches and other breakfast and snack items. I also like the fact they have a drive thru! I'm a big fan of using the iPad for purchasing as I can add tip and get receipt emailed to me. For people like me that are going paperless... Yee haw...I'm a fan and will for sure be a regular :) read more

We checked out Coffee Ranch the other morning, unsure of what to expect. We walked away more than impressed by the whole experience. The owners have been thoughtful in their decor and, more importantly, in their coffee. Generally you get one or the other; great coffee and mediocre atmosphere, or vice versa; not in this case! Our coffee was perfectly brewed, the cafe was inviting and clean and their new outdoor seating area looks like a great spot to have coffee on a pleasant morning. The only misleading piece of the whole experience was the name itself. For some reason the name threw us off a bit....when I think of ranch coffee I think of the watery, sorry excuse for coffee my grandmother used to brew 30 years ago....Coffee Ranch is definitely no that! read more

I've been going to Coffee Ranch on and off for years, but today sealed it for me. The staff was unfriendly and unengaged. No greeting, no basic questions (like whipped cream), just handed me my drink and that was it. Zero customer service. The blended vanilla latte was watery and not worth the price. It honestly felt like a rip-off. The overall vibe was unwelcoming, and the lack of friendliness was uncomfortable. Customers should be treated with basic respect, regardless of who they are. I will not be recommending this place. I used to buy gift cards here for friends and family, but I'll be taking my money elsewhere from now on. read more

I can not for the life of me figure out why people are willing to wait on average 30 min for a cup of mediocre and grossly over priced coffee. Perhaps the wait was not so bad as they used to have an attractive staff, however they have lately been replaced by a very unhealthy looking crew. My guess is the creepy goatee guy who works there creeped out all the good looking employees. That guy gives me the chills. I will not be back. read more

The food and coffee taste good and the service is quick. The reason for 3 stars is that the coffee sizes are tiny. I feel like I'm drinking out of a thimble when I order a small. Overall, I like this place, but I would be more of a happy customer if they offered bigger cups and lowered their prices to be more competitive with other coffee shops. read more

Coffee ranch is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite places to visit! Every single barista there is kind, welcoming, and helpful! Did I mention the drinks are amazing? On my most recent visit, I ordered the classic breakfast bagel and asked if I could pay for extra bacon and have it cooked a little crispier. I was told no because the entire sandwich is toasted together. I was a little surprised there wasn't an effort to find another solution, like crisping the bacon separately before adding it to the sandwich. It seemed like a small request that could have made a big difference in the overall customer experience. I really want this place to succeed because it's such a great addition to the neighborhood, and I'll probably continue to stop by because it's so convenient. I just hope they can improve the customer service and make guests feel a little more valued.
