It's a nice enough place to go, though the atmosphere doesn't have a lot of character. The teas and service are typically very good. I would have given it 4 stars but for the fact that the last time I was in there I asked if they had any organic teas. I was informed that they did not. The manager then initiated a very audible discussion with one of the servers about why the organic label was meaningless. This was while I, who obviously cared about organic foods and drinks, was still standing at the counter. I was somewhat dumbfounded by this treatment of a customer. read more

The Coffee Ranch is great in two ways, they have a drive through and the customer service is good. Drive throughs are key when you have a baby that doesn't fancy getting in and out of the car too often and/or your in a hurry. I also really like that you can go through the drive thru and still eat something somewhat healthy and local. The coffee is alright, if you like dark roast. I usually prefer a light roast, which they don't offer. They do however, cold brew their iced coffee which reduces the acidity while still giving you a full bodied flavor. The other reason I forgive the coffee choice is, yet again, that they have a drive thru. I ordered a burrito in the drive thru recently. The cashier was super nice, he offered me bacon, sausage or veggie. I am not a vegetarian, but vegetables sounded good. When I got it, it looked REALLY small, but I could handle that (I thought it might make up for it in flavor). I figured there would be onion, bell pepper and maybe one or two other things in it. When I got to a place where I could eat it I opened it up and NOTHING. It had a maximum of two super dry (hard), over cooked eggs and beans. If there was any cheese it had been cooked into the eggs to a degree that it pretty much didn't exist. There was absolutely nothing special about this burrito at all. Rant: I'm not sure if they understand that the term veggie implies that vegetables will be present... But it does. If he would have told me that I could have bacon or sausage OR no meat, I would have ordered it with meat or expected it to just be the standard without meat, I felt like he had lied to me and I was really disappointed when I ate it. I love this place! It's off the beaten path, but the girls are always sweet & they are the only drive-through that offers a protein shake WITH espresso in it!! In fact I'm sure they are the only coffee stop that offers a protein shake option for breakfast at all! So yummy. First time I've tried Coffee Ranch. It's on my way to drop off my siblings at school and I figured I'd give it a try. I like the fact that it has a drive thru. I ordered a medium pumpkin spice latte and I was disappointed on both the size and flavor. The medium seemed more like a small and the taste wasn't bad but it just didn't taste like what I asked for. It seems like they literally just sprinkled pumpkin pie spice powder over a plain latte. Overall it's not a bad place but I probably won't be going back. read more

I actually really like this place! We just moved close by and started going here and I love the coffee. Dog friendly, they always give my dog a treat which I love:) Cinnabon latte is incredible. My only complaint is the girl that works there with red hair ( I am sorry it seems rude to refer to her by her hair color but I don't know her name) always looks mad or just totally irritated. I have ordered from her numerous times and it borders on uncomfortable. I realize faking happiness can be hard but we all have to do it.... I have to do it for my own job. I understand. Small, quaint, perfect. This is a great stop for coffee and pastry. They have a tiny kitchen so there is no room for a big menu, but they carry selections from local food truck Gordo Burrito, as well as single sized quiches, bagels, muffins and cookies. They offered a lighter and darker variety of coffee with hip names I can't recall... My coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Deciding to go 'fancy' this morning, I had the Nutella Mocha. It came with a sticker shock price of $4 for an 8 oz, the 12 oz was only 45¢ more, and they also offered a 16 oz for a few more cents. Since it was such a heavy drink, I decided to keep it small. It was really good. I left off the whipped cream. It was smooth and not overly sweet. I watched as she made it with real Nutella...a heaping spoonful of it, so I'm sure this drink is a diet buster! She also used a double shot of espresso, so that should help burn those calories and provide the jolt of energy you need to get your morning started! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The decor was laid back and 'ranchy' with horse shoes and dried good bags. There is inside and outside seating great for chilling out with friends or by yourself. Oh. They also offered smoothies. I want to try the peanut butter banana smoothie for lunch. All in all, a great little coffee shop. I will definitely be back! read more

I always suggest Coffee Ranch for coffee dates with friends. It is quaint, not a franchise-type business, and has great tasting coffee. Prices are not cheap, and expect to pay close to what you would at a Starbucks, for example. They have limited indoor seating, lots of outdoor seating with umbrellas, and even a gated AstroTurf spot for dogs to be tied up to. read more

This place has the best coffee in chico by far. Both hot and cold drinks are amazing and you can actually taste the coffee beans. They aren't hidden behind sugar and fake flavors which is the case at other coffee shops in town.
