There are more espresso cafés in the East Flushing-area now than when it was predominantly Italian neighborhood (thanks, Koreans who caffeinate!) Coffee Factory stands out for the typical Murray Hill commuter, since most of bougie cafés in Downtown Flushing don't open until the zenith of the morning rush. For those of us who need to catch the early train, this place opens at 0630. They brew Stumptown, and they brew it strong. I get espresso here regularly and I'm never disappointed. Their pricing is one step below Manhattan-esque, so close to, but not entirely unreasonable. I don't do the sweets or baked goods, so I can't speak to that. However, I have to say, their sugar/creamer selection is a little disappointing, at least in the PM hours. One depressing Monin syrup and only half/half or skim milk. Although very quiet in the early morning, this place is usually packed in the evening and on weekends. If I had even a little more willpower I would definitely hunker down and try to study here. read more

I checked out this place after I picked up my phone from work. It took me approximately 25 min walk. But it was worth it. The green tea Ice flakes were delicious and it looks awesome. It came with a base of smooth green tea ice cream, a taiyaki fish that contains vanilla ice cream and a small layer of chocolate along with red beans on the side. But the grapefruit Ada drinks was not up to my taste. It was way too sweet for me, so I have to throw it out after half way through. read more

Been wanting to visit Coffee Factory since Grand Opening since I only live a street away. I ordered two things, the Green Tea Ice Flake and a Iced drink. The exterior is simple, but the interior is really neat and well-decorated. The food is also unique in it's decoration. Sometimes they change the ingredients of your orders based on what they have available, that was one of the flaws about this place. If I'm expecting green tea drizzle, I should not be getting milk as a replacement without being told beforehand. However, the bingsoo was still great and the portions were huge. The ice portion of the shaved ice was slightly bland, but the ingredients on top such as red bean, green tea scoops, fish ice cream, and mochi were great. The iced latte I got was ordinary and priced at $4.50 like any other cafe. Coffee Factory is a great place to catch up with friends/family, but it get's noisy so it's not suitable for studying during the p.m. I'll be back to try more from the menu! read more

They gave lots of food for a reasonable price and I would recommend you share it w someone bc of how much they gave but you can eat it all yourself like me! The place is located in Koreatown, Flushing which determines pretty far. I was there on a wonderful sunny Sunday. The exterier is not very noticeable, the interier is comfy. They provide a good choice of desserts and drinks. I ordered the misugaru ice flakes for two people and I was completely in love with this! Besides, they use a qualitative tea and serve it in the large cups. Their coffee is in the very small size and they charge for the actual cup. Came here after a korean lunch at a store nearby and we ordered the instagram famous green tea bingsoo to share. This is basically a combination of green tea shaved ice, red beans, 2 scoops of green tea ice cream and a "taiyaki" fish ice cream. The store was well kept, clean and the staff was polite and friendly. Although not particularly a fan of the red bean,we ate around it. The shaved ice was my favorite part of the dessert. Instead of just shaving off ice from an iceblock, they use a machine that turns their milky, flavored mixtures into ice flakes - which really added to the texture and look. read more

Came here with a friend We got grapefruit ade which was refreshing. It's basically grapefruit mixed with san pellegrino I believe. My friend got iced green tea latte. Rich green tea taste. Not watered down. A bit powdery but still good. We got misugaru shaved ice/mixed grain which was good. On the sweet side. We kinda wanted the other components of the shaved ice to come separately so we can eat in moderation like how other people were getting but they just put everything in the bowl. I love this place because it's close to both where I live and the LIRR. It's also open late, they have plenty of bar seating in the back, and drinks and snacks are decent. Came in here for a simple latte and it took them about 15 minutes to make. There were other orders but the cashier just let the orders accumulate before making the orders and eventually customers who ordered after I did got their orders first. After I asked how come I didn't get my order yet, then the barista started making it. No explanation or apology. Not worth coming here when their inefficient in making their coffee. My husband and me were looking for dessert and I loooove shaved ice. We found this place on Yelp and as it was on our way home we gave it a try. I can't rate the beverages, we only got a green tea shaved ice to share. On the photos on Yelp the size really doesn't come out right - it was sooo huge!!! I first thought it was a little pricey, but you do get a biiiig portion of extremely tasty green tea shaved ice, two scoops of green tea ice cream, red beans, mini mochi and a whole fish shaped ice cream on top! I was only a little bit disappointed that our ice cream scoops didn't have the cute faces. But we would have eaten them instantly anyway... (^_^;) The shaved ice has a good strong green tea flavor and is not too sweet, which I appreciate. It melts in your mouth and becomes creamy - yum! The service was friendly and fast. I will definitely be back to try their other shaved ice flavors! Update: We came back 2 times to try strawberry and multigrain shaved ice. However the workers were not willing to help the customer instead they were talking and laughing. It's my first time here and I shared the mixed grain ice flakes with my sister. I've tried ice flakes from other places, but this is by far the best I've tasted. It's also a huge portion so I'd recommend sharing it with at least one other person. I also tried the sample garlic cheese bread and it was delicious. I suggested them that it would be nicer if they ask customers which way they want to be served..it was sad that the store staff replied me without thinking that it was the cafe shop's rule.. i was so excited when this coffee shop opened in the neighborhood within walking distance from my home. it's right by Murray Hill lirr station too. unfortunately, if you don't speak Korean there is a small language barrier. it's hard to feel welcome at this place; but it's in the neighborhood AND im a fan of good coffee. so I continue to return. to this place despite the unwelcoming atmosphere. another major plus--they have milk substitutes: almond & soy don't ask for info or ingredients of their pastries, they can't be bothered or accurate. I asked about a pastry I was holding- was it cheese and bacon? the woman behind the counter said yes...then proceeded to speak to a coworker in their native tongue. I asked what she said and was told "oh, she said it's very good." I find out as im eating it at the LIRR station that it had raw minced onions in it as well. NOT WHAT I WANTED. In short, the coffee is GOOD but don't count on customer service in english or hanging out and feeling comfortable. it's a shame. read more

Prices of the items are similar to those of Starbucks. Usually when it's crowded, there are older folks in the main seating area. If you go inside farther, there's another room where people normally use their laptops. There is wifi, although it would be nice to see a sign somewhere on the walls instead of having to ask for the password. There could be a sign inside that inner room? Not sure. Iced caramel macchiato was good and with the large windows, you get a scenic view of the surrounding Flushing area. It's especially nice to see during fall with all the foliage. Apparently you get 10% off your purchase here if you just had a meal at Ham Ji Bach, right across the street. Not sure how long they'll have this promotion though. It had the perfect amount of green tea flavor and I loved the melt in your mouth sensation. It comes with some almond flakes, mochi and red bean. It also comes with the fish ice cream, cut up into four pieces. If you're a fan of green tea, definitely get this. This place has an $8 min credit card charge. They also charge for a cup if you ask for tap water. I don't understand why they're so cheap to give tap water when we're spending so much on "overpriced" dessert. Doesn't make sense to me. It makes you look bad by being so cheap. I'm subtracting a star for this. The place has some seats in the back for you to work. There's wifi so that's a plus. I grew up in Vancouver and this place reminds me of some of the best coffee shops we had there (without the Canto pop, which I suppose is too much to ask for here). Great coffee, friendly staff, really nice space where you can set up for a few hours and have a conversation or do some work. I came back again with 4 of my friends and got the Misugaru bingsu (mixed grains - red bean, sesame powder, almonds) and Green Tea binsu. The portions are HUGE. Don't freak out over the price, because honestly it is WORTH YOUR MONEY. With the 5 of us eating (mind you, a guy was there), it took a while for all of us to eat it all and we were just so amazed over how big it is. The bingsu is also not just shaved ice - it is actually creamy ice. It tastes very powdery, like snow dust and it is actually like icecream, not that watery patbingsoo a lot of other cafes have, which charge you $$$$. I love both flavors but I like the green tea more just because it looks so cute and has more elements such as two scoops of green tea icecream that look like two cute bears and a whole fish red bean ice cream sandwich. The green tea bingsu is very strong and tastes like real matcha powder. I like my flavors very rich and strong so I highly recommend this because I felt like I wasn't being ripped off by the ingredients they used. read more

Super cute place, nice servers, great heating system and music selections. The lava of our lava cake was already outside, but the green tea ice cream tasted awesome, like home made. And they were awfully nice to offer my sister cinnamon powder sprinkled on top of her cappuccino for the holiday season. Came here after seeing pictures on instagram. A friend and i split the green tea matcha ice flakes and for 14.99 a bowl, I'd say very worth it. The bowl is very big and comes with red bean and mochi and almonds as toppings. Its also topped with an ice cream sandwich and needless to say, my friend and i are done eating ice cream for the next few days. Not a fan of the desserts and drinks or the people that serve it. Spent over 40 dollars here and they stated they had to charge us 0.25 cents extra when we asked for a cup of water. When I asked for clarification, they said the charge wasn't for the water, but for the cup to put the free water in... ABSURD. Tried to order the seasonal fondue on the menu. Was told they didn't have it... (then why don't you erase it off the chalkboard? It was on there from a previous visit as well) Green tea snowflake ice looked nothing like some of the other photos we saw on yelp, which was one of the primary reasons why we went there. For the time it took them to make it, they could have made something that resembled a cute animal. SOMETHING! Also tasted very gritty and powdery when eating. Lava chocolate cake with ice cream.
