This cafe is brand new and it is located right beside the LIRR. Their seats are really comfortable and the atmosphere is really relaxing. I went there with some friends to try it on a monday night and the experience was excellent. The decorations were cute and their style is wooden colored. The green tea bingsoo was really soft and rich. The shaved ice is actually green tea ice and not just green tea powder sprinkled on top of ice. The bear style icecream is actually really creamy and soft and tastes really well with the bingsoo and the red beans. There is a slight bit of chocolate and almonds which gives it a nutty taste. The almond honey bread was really crunchy and milky. It took them a while to make this since they individually toast each part and put them together. My favorite part of this dessert is the almond flavored whipped cream. It melts with the freshly toasted honey bread which gives it the nutty milky flavor. My friends and I stumbled in after having dinner. Was just expecting a small regular coffee shop, but that was not the case. When you walk in, the interior is simple and cute with a bunch of small plants on the side. The staff were really nice and apologized for a mistake on a order. You HAVE to try the shaved snow ice. They have shaved the ice in a way that I have never tasted before. It is super light and airy. Once you have a spoonful of it, it's amazing how they even made it! Their portions are extremely big. I have tried the mixed grain and the green tea. Personally, i think the mixed grain shaved ice is better. Even though it's simple, the vanilla ice cream is such a nice touch to the red bean (which is on the side. It is optional if you want it in your dessert). Came here on a Tuesday afternoon to study while I was on break. There was plenty of seating, since most people would be at school or at work. I ordered a vanilla latte and took a seat in the back room, which is separated from the main area, and literally has an outlet everywhere you look. The vanilla latte was really delicious and reminds me of what the milk tastes like after you have Lucky Charms (weird comparison, but I think it's pretty accurate). The cute latte art didn't hurt either :) The plentiful seating and outlets, and the free wifi make it a really great place to study! The only problem (and I'm not sure if this is an issue all the time) is that they have really loud jazz music playing, which can be distracting, but if you have noise-cancelling headphones, I guess you're good! In addition, the credit card minimum is $8 which is kind of a lot to spend on coffee, so if you only have a card on you, I would head over to Caffeine Fix across the train tracks which has a $5 card minimum (but their coffee is not as good as the Stumptown roasts served here). read more

This might be my to-go study cafe when I am in Flushing. I like how there is a mini room in the back that people mostly use for studying or using their devices. It has a good number of outlets and a good number of seats. The cafe itself has many tables. We tried their regular ice coffee, which was labeled organic. It's pretty good and pricing is decent too. We also ordered a green-tea ice-flake, which was around $13 - good to share with 2 people. It doesn't look as cute anymore, they don't put the faces on the ice-cream. Overall, it's pretty good... but...I don't think it's worth it's price since they just cut up a fish ice-cream that you can buy outside for $1, a bit of mochi, a bit of almonds, one scoop of green tea ice-cream, a large amount of green tea flavored ice and some sweet red bean. The ice is full of green tea flavor and the good thing is that it doesn't melt fast due to the metal bowl. I had seen and passed Coffee Factory previously but it was always someone late. Luckily one evening I arrived early enough to be able to actually sit down and order. This place is Korean owned so some of their specialty desserts include the shaved ice called pat bingsu. In addition they of course have a plethora or hot and cold caffeinated or decaf beverages. This is a very spacious coffee shop that also has an area in the rear of the establishment if you prefer more quiet settings. The employees are polite for the most part. And I was happy that they were still making desserts. I decided to get the Mango version of their shaved ice. Now before I ordered I did take a look around. The size of the shaved ice bowls are definitely meant to be shared. That is something that usually does not phase as I has missed out on other opportunities so I was willing to accept that it might be too much for one person. On addition I ordered an iced chai latte even though the lateness of the hour told me I should refrain from so much caffeine. When you make your order you are given a wireless notification device that alerts you as to when your stuff is ready for consumption. The bingsu was as good as as I had hoped. Fresh mangos, special Mango boba poppers and vanilla ice cream. The hours are decent on a week night and since due to scheduling I do appreciate places that are open late. When I took a look at the menu, it has a small selections of drinks and sweets. We have order the green tea ice flakes, with a blue lemonade and coffee. After we ordered we looked around and sat in the back room that has books to read. This place seems like a place for locals since all the people there seems to speak Korean. I love the atmosphere, just like out of a Korean drama, simple and clean. The food didn't take long, maybe about 5 to 10 minutes. The green tea shaved ice has such a deep tea flavor, I love it! It was paired with mochi, toasted almonds, green tea icecream, red bean paste, and a vanilla red bean taiyaki shaped(fish) icecream. I also love the blue lemonade drink, very pretty. It's random, I've gotten either one or two scoops of green tea ice cream which they make into a cute little bear. I'm in the neighborhood and I come here a lot because it is close and I like the ambiance. However, my only complaint is the loud music in the study room. Since the room is small, the sound gets amplified quite a bit. Would be nice if management could lower the music so I could concentrate with headphones on and a little of my own music and be productive. I'm sure most of the people that study in the back feel the same way. Gimme some support if you feel the same way. The place is way too loud. The average noise lvl was 82 decibels. Anything louder than 85 will damage your hearing. Do you ever wonder why it's so loud? Because when the music is loud, people will try to talk over the music.
