Great little coffee place. Organic, with organic and wholesome foods, too. The pricing might be a little inconsistent (depending on whom you're dealing with), but this is a minor thing. I've been a couple times and have found it relaxing, and enjoyable. Yes, WiFi. They open very early, too --- they tell me 5am even if the phone app version of Yelp says 6am. The outside patio is a nice option as the front room can sometimes get crowded. read more

Their chai is amazing.... smooth, not too sweet, not too watery, not too much foam. It's perfection in a cup, when coffee may be too heavy and you want something light. Probably the best cup of chai, I ever had. If you're not into chai latte's, you're missing out. All drinks can be ice blended, served chilled on the rocks, or hot to your liking. Bathroom is immaculate. Whoever installed the mirror must be really tall because I was tip toeing and still couldn't see my bangs and I'm 5'3". Not impressed. I was so looking forward to not going to Starbucks while up in Ojai but this place did not live up to the hype. The kid behind the counter dropped the last apple cinnamon coffee cake. It almost looked as if once he had dropped it he was going to give it to me. Huge concern. I was forced to eat an almond scone that just didn't hit the spot. My decaf cappuccino was not delicious. Now, this could be because the coffee was decaffinated, which has generally been the problem, but even with the sugar I added it didn't help. It honestly seemed to make it all worse. I ended up tossing it after taking sips of water in between didn't help. The kid behind the counter also didn't make it clear to my friend that the cups for the drip coffee were at the counter with the coffee. So she waited for a minute or two until I asked on her behalf. The locals did not give off a friendly vibe. It was clear that my friend and I were out of towners, but it didn't encourage us to stay there any longer than necessary. No sitting inside or out and chatting comfortably. The only person in there who was nice was the guy behind the bar making the coffee drinks. read more

Umm I actually was compelled to log in after years of no reviews just to review this place! My husband, 3 year old daughter and I vacationed for 7 days in Ojai, as we did last September as well, and the one thing I missed from the bay area was good espresso drinks... That is until i discovered Coffee Connection... YOU SAVED MY VACATION:) In fact, I've been back home for about 3 weeks now, yet I crave it still daily! It's just perfectly strong, yet smooth in my white mocha "on the rocks" (that's what they call it...and the main dude (I think his name is Jon) has this rad accent that makes me feel like I'm in a pub in England ordering my drink "on the rocks". Ok so longest review ever, but come here! I'm minutes from San Francisco and I'm tempted to go back down for some coffee right now! Really feel surprised and torn by how dirty and run down this coffee shop is. I don't know if I should say bravo to the owners for not giving a shit or appalled that they don't see the walls around them. Otherwise very good vibe and unimposing atmosphere. Coffee Connection is my top pick for coffee in the Ojai area, beyond a doubt. The coffee is some of the best I've had anywhere in the world, organic, fair trade, and well roasted and prepared. But even more than the coffee, I go for the atmosphere. Jon, Brenna, Amber and the others all create a friendly and cozy atmosphere where good conversations start at the bar and often continue elsewhere. Wow. Such a random spot! Don't get bewildered by the decrepit looking liquor store that shares the building space. The Coffee Connection is a little coffee-laden oasis in the midst of a desolate nowheresville. The little coffee shop had two handsome European men running the place when my sister and I arrived. I wanted iced coffee and some whole beans to take home. All of a sudden I was whisked into an impromptu lesson about which beans were best for what, which brewing method worked best, etc. I ended up buying the Brazil beans from Centri Coffee and the Double Dark by Joebella. My husband is nuts for that Brazil roast, and now we have the problem of having to order more down here in Orange County! The Double Dark is intense, almost like drinking hot chocolate. If you like strong coffee, this is a must try! The man helping us with the beans was truly knowledgeable and extremely passionate about his beans. They get them from local vendors and such, making sure to only choose organic/fair trade, etc. Oh, and my iced coffee was good too! Coffee snobs are sure to rejoice. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in Ojai. The drinks are excellent and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is friendly with a colorful local presence. I like getting an 8 oz oat milk latte, iced coffee or drip coffee and walking over to the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy Meadow Preserve.
