    Iced coffee

The service is fine and I like their mission or whatever, but the coffee is literally so bad I had to create a yelp account. Was having a horrible day and to pay 6.50 for the most disgusting vanilla latte I've ever tried was my final straw.

Lovely local coffee shop! With great service and yummy coffee. We stumbled on this gorgeous coffee shop on our way to a friends wedding, super glad we did. The service was fantastic and got to relax while we enjoyed our coffee in their patio.

My morning matcha almond milk latte

Such good ceremonial matcha latte here and the coffee drinks are also fabulous. Great friendly people behind the counter I highly recommend this place

My original review still stands. But, just to add to it... Overall, my coffee has been decent. But when there are certain baristas there, my coffee drinks are SO good. I've always eyed their pastries. So when I finally decided to order one, I was so dissapointed. I took a bite and the texture made me gag, I had to spit it out. Why did I decide to eat it even though there was that gooey mess on there? I wanted to give it a chance. Anyway, note to the owners: If it looks like you wouldn't eat it yourself, you shouldn't sell it. (I did notice he was originally a bit hesitant, but i didn't know why at that moment). Dont worry! I'll always be a customer for the coffee, just not the patries.

Even though the shop was a little busy and I was taking up extra time, the staff were all very friendly and upbeat and didn't make me feel bad for the line stacking up behind me. When the beans I wanted happened to be sold out of pre-packaged bags, she went and filled and sealed a fresh bag for me right then and there. Awesome! Small, clean, cozy shop, and I didn't buy any pastries this time, but they did look really tempting. I should have bought a lemon bar. Next time I will for sure.

My original review was much nicer but since then the owner has messaged me requesting that I take down my "insensitive review" when it was honest and not rude. However, I will make my review much clearer. The cashier (now I'm assuming owner) was condescending towards my friend who had never tried one of their non-dairy milks. My other friend did not enjoy her drink and in her opinion was possibly the worst latte you could ever have at a whopping $10 a pop. I'm not really sure why the owner, Stacy, felt entitled to ask I take down my review. But it will in fact stay, and I hope every person who ventures to visit this coffee shop stays away. Yelp was made to make honest reviews about one's experiences. Smart business owners know not everyone will have the same experience. The main goal to have with a unsatisfied customer is to understand what went wrong and to listen to the feedback, not win the argument!

The space is small but full of light, and it feels cozy in a way that makes you want to linger without feeling squished. The owners are genuinely kind. I asked about "The Goodfella" specialty drink and they explained it without a hint of coffee snob energy. We love knowledgeable and approachable. Also... they bring your drink to you while you're waiting. I appreciate this so much. It's such a small thing but it feels thoughtful. There's a solid lineup of fresh baked pastries if you need a little treat moment. And the message on the cups just makes you smile. It feels intentional in a quiet way, not performative. Can't wait to return. And parking is easy, which honestly seals the deal.

The Farmer and the Cook -- Fresh Finds Off the Main Road…read more I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect walking in for the first time, but The Farmer and the Cook won me over pretty quickly. It's bright, clean, and has this easy organic warmth to it... the kind of place that feels like it was put together by people who actually care. Right off the main road, easy to find, and the family vibes are real. It's the kind of spot you want to linger in. If you're navigating dietary restrictions, this place is a quiet goldmine. Strong gluten free options, a genuinely vegan friendly menu, and plenty of vegetarian choices too... so everyone at the table actually gets to eat something they're excited about. That's rarer than it should be. The food? Solid. I went with the raw tacos, sopes, and huarache; all filling, all fairly priced for the area. The raw tacos especially surprised me... fresh, flavorful, and not in a "I wish this was a real taco" kind of way. These hold their own. Service was quick and most of the staff had a warm, genuine energy about them. The one small snag; the cashier seemed to be having a rough one. A little gruff, made me feel like my first visit was mildly inconvenient for them. It happens, we all have bad days, but first impressions do stick a little. Overall though, I'm absolutely coming back. There's more on that menu calling my name and an atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down for a bit. Whether you're vegan, gluten free, or just looking for something fresh and honest... this one's worth the stop.

I was poisoned there with food that I am allergic to by a spiteful employee. Management not only never apologized, they never did anything. The results were lab tested. I had seen someone post about their matcha affogato so I had to go with my husband to try it. It is off of one of Ojai's Main Street so it can get loud if you are planning to stay and sit. No private parking but there's plenty of street parking around the area. There's limited seating outside. It was a bit confusing to us but it does seem like its first come for seating. Inside is pretty small to order. It is really cute how it's like a mini market with wine and other items. We for sure went wanting to try their matcha affogato which we got. We also got some of their pastries and a simple plate which was perfect for me. Everything was really good. We absolutely loved the matcha affogato. We are really glad we went. Overall, cute place.
