This place is the real deal. Excellent quality coffee, creative seasonal flavors, and the most inclusive and welcoming baristas EVER. It holds a candle to my two favorite coffee places in the Atlanta metro area, and that's really saying something, because small-town coffee can be suuuuuper hit or miss. They also have a variety of seating options for work and for leisure. Just a great vibe all around. My only gripe is that other people are realizing how great this place is, and the line to order can get kinda long if you visit at a peak time on weekends, but those baristas still pull shots at warp speed--without skimping on quality, even when it's busy. read more

Still such a great spot in Monroe! It's really the only cafe where you can go grab quality hand crafted lattes and get some work or studying done. I haven't found another one within like 20 miles of here haha ***LOCATION*** There is always street parking or parking in the lot just down the street with the mural or parking at city hall. ***AMBIANCE*** It's always relatively crowded. I mean it's the best spot in town so it makes sense. But it's still quiet enough to get work done and they have plenty of seats. Even if it's full you can usually grab a seat at the bar. ***STAFF*** The staff are all very cool and super nice! ***FOOD/DRINKS*** The only thing lacking is more selection for food. They do have a couple of pastries and for savory options they have avocado toast or biscuits that have small pieces of bacon and cheddar in them. I think they have chicken sandwiches from the restaurant next door occasionally but there just isn't much of a food menu. I like to get food or something savory with coffee vs sweets. I'd love to see an egg bagel on the menu! I used to work at Jittery Joes and we made egg in the microwave for bagels, I would be so fine with that! Haha and just adding some cheddar! For sweets they don't have much, mainly a muffin and cookie but they are good. Again, I'm less of a fan of sweets, and there are several other sweet spots in the area but maybe at least some savory bagel options here would be perfect! The avocado toast is very good though! I love coming here because the staff is always so friendly and everything I have tried here is so good. I typically get an iced white mocha (or iced polar bear) or a strawberry and banana smoothie to drink and sometimes a bagel and cream cheese. I do wish they had a few more food/snack options especially when I am there working for a few hours. The environment is nice if you need to get some work done or to just hangout and talk. While they do have a good amount of seating, it can get very crowded and hard to find a place to sit and work at certain times. But it also makes it a good place to be motivated to work at when you're surrounded by a lot of other people who are also working. Coffee Camper has an amazing location, right in the middle of Broad Street in downtown Monroe. The staff are very friendly and the coffee's are excellent. And I like the whole bean bag choices. The seating is cool looking and there is a nice vibe to the whole place. It is a very popular business and I often see familiar faces. However, because it is so popular I wish they had a better system in place for the walk in traffic. If there are more than two or three people waiting to place an order it's difficult to know how to line up for the register. Also if you're not taking your food and drink in the restaurant, there is not a good space to stand and wait. They could do with more seating. Everything is lovely here they just are a bit of a victim of their own popularity and need to create some more space. Perhaps by removing the mountain climbing section they could add 40% more seating and think of a way to streamline the foyer-to-register space. read more

And the description on the website is accurate; the moment I walked in I exclaimed "yesss!" The bean choice for the espresso is , and the lattes aren't too milky. The atmosphere is outdoorsy with several seating options---long tables, high tops, bar seating, and couch area. What a wonderful shop! We are in Monroe for a wedding and wandered by the shop. It smelled so good from outside we had to drop in...they have outdoor gear for sale and a small rock climbing wall. They also are a coffee shop - they make drinks and sell beans. It was around noon so I planned t buy some beans that smelled delicious through the bag...and a bonus was a free drip coffee with the purchases. I really love this local coffee shop. It's the best in downtown Monroe by far. Tip: ask the barista what they enjoy if you aren't sure about what to order. They have cute names for there coffee ( i.e. polar bear for a white chocolate mocha) and it can be a rad confusing unless you look at their laminated menu- so asking is definitely recommended! The staff are very nice and are happy to help. The chai latte is DIFFERENT than any I have ever had- I won't say it's the best. I like my chai lattes to be a bit on the spicy side- this is not in the least. It's super sweet and creamy. If I'm in the mood for sweet this really hits the spot. I always drink my lattes with almond milk and the kind they use is creamy and delicious! Some coffee shops struggle to find a good almond milk that doesn't make the latte taste like water. They have definitely found it. The London fog latte is great. Not very sweet and honesty not very strong either. It's simple and refreshing. If you're into teas get it for sure. And if you're not- give this knee a shot. I was never really into teas other than chai and this has really opened up a new road to explore for me.
