    Shrimp plate

Ordered dinner for 5 expect to at least get what I paid for. Shrimp plate $20 and it wasn't enough to fill me up and I could eat kids meals most of the time. Very disappointed. Food didn't even taste good.

Our first time stopping g here. We used to visit The Donut Hole, but the last tornado took that out so we need a new place for donuts and coffee. The cafe is cute and clean. Finding the way into the parking lot wasn't as easy as you'd think, but we eventually got it. (No I was not driving). The donuts were good so was the coffee. It was a little short staffed, but the people there hustled to get everyone served. Would stop again!

Their breakfast menu and donuts are amazing! Made to order food items and freshly baked donuts make for an delightful experience. Although I placed a pretty decent sized order at the window, the ladies helping me were swift and speedy when it came to fixing and packing up my items. Definetly recommend if you're looking for an inexpensive meal and soft donuts. Will be back!

I tried the big burger and fries. Didn't like it so much. The meat was weird. It would be nice if they switch the meat to real ground meat or something. I don't know what that was. It was different. So I won't be ordering that again that's for sure.. But I'm not going to change my rating because of the good experience and the tasty beignets from last time. Also, the lady in the drive thru ( different employee) was nice also. 2 for 2 on good customer service. That goes a long way in my book.

A local donut and Cafe that opened near us awhile back. We have gone through the drive few a few times, mainly to get some donuts. This time, we went in to exterpience their dining and breakfast. Inside was very cheery looking. Nice displays of fresh donuts. Staff was friendly. We ordered biscuit and gravy with eggs , hashbrowns and bacon. Which I thought was very good. My wife got a meat supreme omelet, by itself. She doesn't eat starch. Omelet looked very good, but we both agreed that it had way too much meat in it. It takes away the taste of any egg. Needless to say, we are local and are glad to have another local dining spot that we look forward to visiting again.

Chicken tender meal deal. Fries were HORRIBLE. Looked like sweet potato fries but were just cooked in old oil.

Good coffee, and a tasty breakfast sandwich. People in the shop were very helpful, hurrying our call-in order along when we arrived early.

Good food, like mini beignets and beef po-boy. Coffee is OK and it is nice cozy small and seems family owned store.

The donuts are amazing! What I didn't know is that the lunch menu was so good. I will be back to for one of their weekly lunch specials.

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

I went by their recommendations and got the boudin Benedict, since that's not something I would find outside of NOLA. The bathrooms are clean even if one of the doors doesn't latch well. We tried the chocolate Bavarian cream stuffed beignets and the regular beignets and the cafe au lait. The beignets are the best I had anywhere. They were a nice size and they were light and fluffy and covered in powdered sugar. The cafe au lait was just ok, I think we liked it better the cafe au lait mixed half and half with the French roast coffee for a stronger coffee flavor. The service was great. Very friendly and helpful and we don't wait too long to take our food with us. You can sit and eat in also but we were on our way through. We loved how coffee house is tucked into a little antique shop Cajun village. It has Cajun country music playing and there are stuffed gators around and lot of interesting antiques. Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.

There is also a charming courtyard if you want to soak in some sunshine. I first learned about this bakery when staying at the Hotel Villa Convento across the street. They served their buttery rich croissants as part of their continental breakfast. (I'm not sure if they still do.) Now that I have a house in the Quarter, I take a morning stroll over here to pick up croissants to take home. The butter croissants are a bargain at $3.50. I also love the chocolate & almond (both are $3.95 each), as well as the crisp & flaky Palmiers & delicate Almond Florentines.
