I'm not throwing this around lightly: this is hands down the best glazed donut in the New Orleans metro. Maybe all of America. I'm willing to defend that opinion. They're soft and airy in the middle, with that sugary crisp shell on the outside. They're always hot, and somehow they melt into this buttery, sweet perfection as you chew. It's the kind of donut that makes you sit in your car for a minute after the first bite just to appreciate what just happened, and you might just eat two before leaving the parking lot. I've had plenty of their other donuts, and they're all good. But nothing, and I mean nothing, touches the classic hot glazed. Be prepared for a line. Then forget about the line the second you take your first bite. It's worth every minute. If you're from Orleans Parish, let me save you the debate. Cross the parish line. Your diet can be mad at you tomorrow.

There are plenty of options, even for the pickiest palate. The apple fritter is just perfect. Light, crispy, fluffy, cinnamony, not too sweet, just the right amount of apple. Divine. The people working here are just lovely, too. Very kind and friendly, prompt, and generous. We were gifted a few extra doughnut holes since we stopped in very close to the end of the day (oops!) This was phenomenal. I also got a regular glazed donut. This was not that good. It's too dense and too thick. I like my glazed donuts to be light and airy; I want it to almost melt in my mouth. All of District's donuts are thick. Most of them are good especially the banana pudding donut. The issue is these aren't really donuts more like cakes or just a dessert. If you are coming to get your order to go this place is fine but if you want to hang out, I prefer the other locations.
