Very cute snug pub. HOWEVER no food. No longer serve food, no matter the menu and the specials board. Also cards only, no cash.

Review Highlights - Coeur De Lion

I tried a few of the ales and they were all nice, Abbey Ale being the best.

Mrs had the beef Sunday roast. Service was great both times. Food was fresh and hot. When in Bath this is a good spot to eat.

They have several local ales on tap and some "Real Ale" cask conditioned for a traditional experience. Sadly, there was no roast beef when we arrived so we'll have to wait for the classic Sunday roast. Steak and ale pie, and a butternut squash pie were good substitutes. This is a popular spot, especially for outdoor seating. We sat inside in a cozy dining room but if the weather is dry outdoors is a nice option. The pub is unassuming on the outside but nice inside. There are two sections those for indoor dining and those wanting to sit outdoors or hang by the bar, we chose the latter. Outside is wonderful with a nice patio, plants, and plenty of shade. With the warm weather, this was a popular spot for folks. Service was friendly but limited. You order and pay for your food and drinks at the bar, they bring it out to you and that's it. I had a Lemon Chicken Pesto Sandwich. It was fine but nothing spectacular. I wish there was more filling to the sandwich, it was very bready. The fries (chips) were crispy and soft. My group enjoyed their meals as well and they looked good. Bath has lots of eateries and shops. If you're going to the Roman Baths or are in the main area, Crystal Palace is a nice spot to stop in for a bite or drink. They're located off Abbey Green near the courtyard.
