All the wines we tasted were solid- from Rose to Reds to Malbac. And the stories behind the names of the wines were fun to listen to also. The PDX was my fav, along with the Rose. Their tasting is $8 this includes 5 wines to taste and they also brought us a little plate of olives, crackers and almonds. We purchased one wine which waive one of our tasting fees. I have to say I really loved all their wines. When you walk in their tasting area may seem a little primitive and not as fancy as some you see in places in the McMinnville AVA, however, the service was great and friendly. The server indicated that had just recently been bought out by Union wines which produces Underwood wine and is based out of Tualatin. This must have been a real recent purchase as neither of their websites reflect that. All in all a good solid group of reds and whites. Stop by and give them a try. I know I'll be back again.

"We had a dog bite last year," he said grimly, oblivious to the other canines already present. Proverbial tales between our legs, we left, feeling pretty crappy--especially since we drove almost forty minutes out of our way to visit this winery. PS: Here is the initial response by Dukes Family Vineyards which they posted and quickly removed: "Your dog barked and snipped in a very aggressive manner twice upon arrival. You were asked to leave by the owner after he heard your dog being aggressive. Sorry about the disappointment, however; we had several patrons that witness your arrival and they thanked us for not letting you stay." PPS: To Dukes Family Vineyards: Your response, and your suggestion my chihuahua was "very aggressive" is completely absurd. My wife was carrying him. The instant she set him down, a much-larger dog came straight over and got in his face. Ours barked once. (He was frightened.) Please answer this question: Why are other dogs allowed to be there if your establishment isn't pet-friendly? Also: we were not "asked to leave." Your server told us you were "full," despite the number of empty tables. Your claim that several patrons witnessed our arrival and then thanked you for not letting us stay makes you (and them) sound like creeps. Further, your withdrawn statement illustrates for potential customers the way you will judge and treat them.

The location is a warehouse in the middle of a residential area, but don't let that sway you from visiting and sampling some vino. I made sure to snap a couple pictures of the exterior for ease of locating. They have a variety of wines for big red and white drinkers and a couple rose wines. In the tasting room you will find plenty of cute white corks with purple cow print on them and a nice selection of award winning wines. They also hold social events including paint nights. There were plenty of paintings displayed all over the walls and is a blast if you never painted whilst drinking wine! For the lighter spectrum they start with Muscat, then Riesling, a Pinot Noir Blanc and a Pinot Noir Rose. For more full bodied reds, they have a nice selection as well. Enjoy and bottoms up!
