For a few years now, I've wanted to visit Bjornson but never made the time to do so. Since I was visiting another winery about a mile away for an event they were having, I had to stop at Bjornson before that. And was I glad I did. They have a stellar selection of both reds and whites. I opted for their standard tasting, which just scratches the surface of the wines that are available from this great, boutique winery. Don't get me wrong, I love the big boys, too, but there is something extra special about going to a smaller winery and enjoying a fantastic wine in an atmosphere that is more intimate. It's like finding a hidden gem next to another gem! What a treat! I was served by Becky, who was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. When I left, I bought a bottle of wine, but since it's a boutique winery and I didn't know if they'd have this other bottle I wanted, I opted for both, which is rare for me (unless I need to purchase 2 bottles to waive the tasting fee). read more

We arrived at this winery at -4:05 and were welcomed for a tasting unlike the prior winery (Cristom) who would not take new customers after 4 (we were there at exactly 4). Wow are we glad Bjornson wanted our business! The wines were fantastic and the wine mgr who served us was absolutely outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We purchased 3 bottles and left very happy customers!!! This is our 1st visit to Oregon and after almost 2 weeks of wine tasting, Bjornson is one of our favorites by far. Highly recommend! read more

Our wine pourer Alexis was very knowledgeable about the wine industry in the Williamette Valley, hiking in the Columbia River Gorge, and kind to our dog. This is a gorgeous place to sample delicious red wine. We loved sitting outside and enjoying colorful flowers and sweeping views of the vineyard. Luckily, when we mentioned that we prefer red wines, the server adjusted the tasting to five red wines instead of insisting we try the others on the tasting menu. The server provided detailed information about each of the wines we sampled. read more

Ok, first of all I love their wine - it's lovely... and the place is lively.... But the person who sat us and told us about the pricing of the wines and joining the wine club completely mislead us and that's not right. He told us that we would get 50% off on all of our wines when we join the wine club but it then he said, " 50% off only on the first bottle you drink here." He was a older gentleman with golf clothes and was pleasant but really try to sell us hard on the wine club membership so he misled us with wrong information. I have one recommendation for the owners... please make sure your employees have and represent correct information... because of this experience, as much as we love your wine, we will be canceling our wine club! Also, we ended up buying over $500 worth of wine and the old guy stood over me and wanting some kind of tip and I felt pressured to tip him which I ended up doing... I just feel like I've been duped. Additionally, I had a weird feeling that we didn't get all the wine we purchased so we stopped over on the side of the street to count and check the wine, and sure enough they had not provided us the Magnus, their most expensive wine!! So glad we checked before we got to our home which was over an hour away!! I hate the fact that this will effect how I feel about the winery, and it's too bad. read more

We had an outstanding experience at Bjornson Vineyard today. We sat outside at one of their picnic tables. Ben brought our flights of wine to our table for us to taste while we enjoyed our picnic lunch. The wines are excellent and we enjoyed every sip. We really appreciated his kindness and attentiveness. When he learned that this was the first wine tasting for one younger person in our party, he proceeded to teach her the basics. In essence, he gave her an introductory seminar on wine tasting! He also told us some of the family history of the Bjornsons. The whole experience was delightful and highly informative. read more

This is was of our favorite wine tasting experiences we've had in all of Oregon. The atmosphere is super laid back, which is refreshing in a wine region like this that produces such good wines that you typically expect more pretentious settings. And the best part is that their wines are still just as good! We shared a 6 tasting flight and had a wonderful time. Jerry was serving us and made the experience so enjoyable, checking in on us often enough and being available for conversation yet still allowing us to enjoy our wine. They truly make you feel at home! We got to try some of the same varietals from different years side by side, which was so fun. I highly recommend their pinots, but they also have some great whites that are worth trying. Overall, beautiful setting and such a wonderful staff. I'd come back even if their wines weren't good, but thank goodness they also have great wines! Definitely worth coming to and making a regular destination. read more

I'm a trained winemaker and worked in the wine industry internationally including the Napa Valley for 4 years. I was very pleasantly surprised by the wines offered at Bjorn and would highly recommend the tasting room experience. The pinots were on the same level as any in the Willamette valley. I purchased 3 of the reserve which were listed for $45. I also thought their sparkling rose was a steal at $29/bottle and purchased 3 bottles. The venue is very scenic. The tasting staff is exceptional. We had Jerry who explained the wines and soil types in great detail. There are a few wines that could use some adjustments to be top rated international quality, but on the whole, I'm certain you won't be disappointed making this winery a destination. read more
