If I could give them a 0, I would. I am an owner and currently staying in Stormy Point Village…read more A couple years ago, we were offered to come out for a 3 night trip and we took my in-laws. They put us in their Carriage Place property, which was run down. For the presentation, we drove to Stormy Point Village where we were shown a nice 4 bedroom cottage. We asked if our 75k points would cover a stay here and he said yes, but only in the 2 bedroom cottage, which was totally fine with us. Spoiler: 75k gets you a 2 bedroom cottage in Jan/Feb for the week. Because our 75k points couldn't be rolled over to next yr nor saved in Trading Places, we had to use them or lose them. We opted to stay in Stormy Point for the week, but 75k only gets you a studio in Aug in Stormy Point Lakeside, which is their dilapidated building. After complaining of the issues in not 1, but 2 studios, they allowed us to move to a cottage. The cottage has issues too, but better than the studios. We were told about an owner's information meeting that would take an hr. Turns out it is a "New Owners Orientation," which is their term to upsell current owners. Nick was our sales guy and he started the meeting with "No offense but I usually don't meet with people like you." And he continues to state that he's so high up in the company that he only came in because they had a shortage of employees that day. When I told him that we weren't interested in upgrading, he then says "Don't take this the wrong way but I can read people like you. I'm not trying to sell you anything." Well, Nick is a liar because they tried to get us to upgrade to 200k points for $17k to use all the perks of our timeshare since they have re-vamped it. I'm sorry but if I'm already an owner, I should already get to use all the new perks after a re-vamp without needing to pay more. I'm not sure where my HOA goes but it's clearly NOT at this property. Save your time and money and DO NOT give Capital Vacations another thought. If you are so set on staying in Stormy Point Village, you can book directly and pay $100 more for the week than what I pay for my HOA without the headache of this company.

This was alarming and completely unacceptable. We immediately contacted the help desk around 11:30 p.m. to report the issue. Unfortunately, we were told there was nothing they could do at that time and that a manager would be emailed. No alternative accommodations, inspection, or immediate assistance was offered. Because of this, we felt we had no choice but to cut our trip short. We were staying with family and friends and had activities planned for another full day, all of which had to be canceled. This was especially frustrating and disappointing right before Christmas. A situation like this should be handled with urgency and care. The lack of response and support only made an already stressful situation worse. We expected much better from a resort of this reputation.

Why can I go to a $50 a night 1 star hotel and connect my son's Xbox to the tv with no problem so he can play games or use our own Netflix account (because I refuse to put my account info on a device that isn't mine) but I come to a luxury resort and HDMI access is locked out? I had to go to Walmart the first morning I was there to buy a 24" tv and set it up on the coffee table for the weekend. They claim that the sales meetings aren't pressured but in reality you are absolutely pressured to go to these meetings. I know they say there are some perks for doing it but then I just found out there aren't any perks at all. The water heater isn't even big enough to fill up the jacuzzi bathtub 1 time. Water turns cold before the level gets up to the jets. No elevator. I looked around the room for this sales meeting and there is no one under 50 years old. I just had spinal surgery 10 months ago. I checked in late around 11pm. I was stuck carrying a 52 lbs suitcase up and down the stairs because there is no elevator or even a stairs bypass path. I do believe that is an ADA violation. On previous trips to Branson (I come here regularly because I have family that live near by) I was put at The Falls which was very nice. This Worldmark property is a downgrade compared to The Falls even though I was told that this place is supposed to be better. It's not. And last... DO NOT let this place scam you into attending their sales meeting with the offer of a free week vacation. The offer is complete trash. 99% of the available locations have an upgrading fee. Out of curiosity I searched for a hotel in my area that was covered by the "free week vacation" offer. The upgrade fee was $1219.99 for specific 7 days the offer stated it was valid for. I then did a regular online search for the same place using the same days in the offer and found it was $861. Where is the free week vacation if it costs roughly $350 more to use the free week offer than just booking online directly?

While in the restroom, I noticed reddish brown drops on the wall tile and vanity. After taking a shower, there was a huge pool of water because the seal on the door was damaged and not attached to the glass door so the door didn't shut. The fan in the bathroom was also not connected to the ceiling and was extremely dirty. The security door latch also was pulled from the wall and was barely hanging onto the wall. When we tried to dial 0 to call the front desk, the automated mesaage on the phone said that operator services would not be available after Dec 2017! Really?? It's Aug 2025! How is one supposed to now get ahold of the front desk from the room? We had to get in the car and drive to the front desk. Sharon was super apologetic after we showed her the photos. She had to call her supervisor to get authorization and wanted to get us in a cottage but you could hear the supervisor clear as day over the phone say "No!" We were told that they couldn't move us to a cottage because we're owners and used points and they couldn't do a double upgrade (going from studio to a 2 bedroom). When Sharon talked to her supervisor, Sharon told her that only 1101 was available as 2 other condos were out of commission as well. So we were told we would be given 1101 which is 1 level BELOW the parking lot. Ok, it is what it is. In 1101, the bathroom had all the cabinet doors open that it looked like someone ransacked the bathroom. No toiletries were on the vanity. There was also no coffee nor laundry detergent in the condo. Basic housekeeping items that is supposed to be in the condo. Upon further inspection of 1101, there were dead bugs that we assume were coming in through the unsealed front door since you could see daylight coming through and the security latch was completely missing from the door. We had to go back to the front desk and politely asked Sharon that she needed to call her manager to find another solution as 1101 was even worse. Upon calling the front desk manager (Sharon's supervisor's supervisor) who authorized the move to a cottage, we were able to move. When we returned back to 1404 to get our items, the pool of water from the shower was gone meaning that it soaked into the floor and will lead to a mold issue if it's not already there. Out of the 12 condos, 4 had issues (incl the 2 I listed) and it's quite clear that it's in shambles. What is my HOA paying for because it certainly isn't for the upkeep of the building. It also feels that the building is the red-headed stepchild of the resort and it's still pricey. 75k points for a week in Aug for a studio is ridiculous especially when we were sold into the program that we could get a cottage in the village for 75k points.

We had the condo booked for 7 days/nights (Saturday to Saturday), but we did not get here until Sunday. My father in law checked us in and had all the paperwork ready when we arrived on Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, our designated condo was hot, like in the 90s, and the air conditioning was not working. My father in law called the office, and the woman who answered was being wishy washy and said they would eventually get a maintenance person to look at it. Couldn't tell us a time or even an approximation of when they will fix our issue. Mind you, it's been in the upper 90s to slightly over 100°F lately. Having been left in limbo, we called again about 45 minutes later, and the woman who answered the phone was nicer. She put us on hold for less than a minute while she spoke to her manager. Shortly after, the maintenance guy came and checked a different room, told us we would need to move, and that he was just waiting for the main office to call back and give the go-ahead. So we moved one level down to an equivalent condo. After moving our things, we were hungry and decided to go to the main office/check-in area to swap the key cards for the correct room. The woman did not even allow us to speak. She simply stated she knows what's going on. Then she got confused, taking 4 tries to finally get the condo number correct. If she had just listened rather than acting frustrated and upset, it would have been done correctly the first time. Customer service was really disappointing at this point of our trip. Also, when we finally got the new condo, the bed wasn't made. We made it with the extra blanket they have stored in the closet. The good news was that the replacement condo appeared to be clean when we moved in there. On the first day, we woke up to a blaring fire alarm before 7 am. Great way to start a relaxing trip, right? No. Fortunately, the remainder of our stay was better. Although you can hear everything in the condo, the area had some upside such as 2 swimming pool locations by where the cottages are, an on-site restaurant and bar you could walk up to from the pool area, and some resort activities for families. They also have a dock you could use if you're bringing your boat or renting one. The condo had a huge bath tub, it was sort of broken and refused to drain at first, but it was nice for relaxing. I went to the restaurant at the resort for lunch. Not super horrible. The huge bathroom with 2 sinks was great. The balcony, while nice, offered only a view of some unfinished grounds, the trailer for housekeeping, and some trees, but nothing exhilarating. This was a place to get some sleep, but we never did get anyone to come and make the bed or give us proper bed sheets.

Where to start... This review is intended specifically for…read morefellow travelers. Not for Wyndham, since I have absolutely no hope of receiving a sincere and honest response from the company--just the same old copy-and-paste of automated replies from other reviews. No, thank you. When I made my reservation through Expedia, I requested a unit with handicap accessibility. Not only did they give me one that didn't meet the requirements, but they also gave me the one furthest from the elevator. It was all done on purpose. The unit was very nice, well-designed, and comfortable, but completely in need of MAINTENANCE. As I said, the toilets weren't handicap-accessible--they couldn't have been any lower. The king-size bed had a completely worn-out mattress, causing back, neck, or hip pain upon waking, with visible sagging, leading to poor sleep (tendency to roll toward the center), and clearly over 10 years old. Closet doors that fell off their hinges. In the past, there used to be a quiet hours policy from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. It seems that no longer exists, lest it offend some guest, who feels free to slam doors, shout, run, and jump around at any hour they please. We arrived late after a 5-hour drive. We were really looking forward to relaxing and getting some rest. But that wasn't how it went. Right after check-in, we were "ambushed" by people trying to sell us a timeshare. Just a quick aside. Don't get involved with timeshares. It's the most expensive thing that can happen to you in your life. I had two--yes, two--timeshares, and I totally regret it. Not just because they tell you one thing to sell it to you, and the reality is something else entirely. Let's just do the math. $40,000 for two timeshares plus the annual fee--let's say another $1,000 a year... If you have that kind of money to spend, invest it and go on vacation for free every year. That's all I have to say. The employees who want to sell you the timeshare get pretty upset when you tell them no. I'm not going to waste two hours of my vacation listening to nonsense and nonsense that doesn't get you anywhere in the end. Another unbelievable thing about Wyndham. There's no housekeeping. Exactly. They have staff constantly walking the hallways, but you can't request them. Not even if you pay for it. The reason: make more money. Regardless of the customer, regardless of the quality of service, regardless of whether the customer is comfortable and enjoying their stay. No, first comes the dividend paid to shareholders, and way down the list is the QUALITY OF SERVICE. And don't get me wrong, I'm an investor. Getting back to the room, the sofa and the accent chair were a disaster--completely sagging and very uncomfortable. I'll say it again: we booked through Expedia, and that's how they ended up sending us to the worst room. I have travel experience--perhaps much more than these Wyndham managers--with 60 years of traveling for pleasure and work. I know the difference and what should be done. That's why this review is for those looking to enjoy a nice trip, a break, and a hassle-free experience. SEE YOU NEXT TIME.
