The staff are students working to pay for their tuition. It is a large elegant building with plenty of room for groups, but at times there is a wait. We had the chicken fried chicken and the meatloaf entrees. Both were served with green beans and mashed potatoes. They offer complimentary bread with three types of butter. We really enjoyed the apple butter! And dessert is not to be missed. We had the apple pie, and it was delicious, and more than enough for the two of us. You can peruse the shop before or after your meal to see some of the student made products.

The dining hall is beautifully adorned with cabin-esque motif and overlooks the campus and mountains. The menu has a great variety and notes items that are made by the students (e.g. butters and cakes). Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.

We thoroughly enjoyed both of our stays at Anchor Inn on the Lake. We stayed several nights both times and had great experiences. The owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious, unique, and different every day. There are paddle boats and kayaks to take out on the lake, a humongous deck to enjoy wonderful views of the lake and local wildlife, and spacious rooms to relax and stay in if desired. One of the rooms has a cool 2nd level with a jacuzzi tub that has a great 360 degree view. And the sheets....OH MY GOODNESS the sheets!! There are several layers of sheets and covers on top of an already comfortable bed, which makes for a night's sleep like no other. I always have trouble sleeping, but not there! The Inn is in a great location. It is out far enough to enjoy a peaceful and serene environment but close enough to the attractions of Branson and the surrounding areas. You just can't beat the great location. They also have a rewards program to earn free nights. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay around Branson.

The breakfast was delicious- we had French toast with nuts and strawberries. There is a large common deck to sit outside and a sun room. The Mediterranean room has its own private deck as well. There is direct lake access from the property and you can use their two kayaks or paddle boat. The sheets on the bed are absolutely amazing and the two person jetted tub is wonderful and well kept. It was a wonderful getaway and worth every penny for its level of relaxation and seclusion. There is also free wifi and great cell signal.

We stayed at The Ozarker Lodge during a fall getaway to Branson, and overall, it was a good…read moreexperience with a few quirks worth noting. Vibe & Amenities: The lodge has a unique, nostalgic atmosphere with a cool retro-inspired aesthetic. One of our favorite features was the fire pit area, which we used to make s'mores a couple of nights. It's a nice touch that they sell firewood and s'mores kits at the front desk. There's also a small creek right behind the property, I took my kid down there one evening, and we skipped stones together. It turned out to be a peaceful, unexpected highlight, and I'd definitely recommend setting aside some time for it during your stay. Coffee & Breakfast: The lodge offers coffee at the front desk. It was the second-best latte I had during our entire Branson trip, pretty well-executed milk texture and balance, though the chocolate they use for the mocha could be higher quality. We also had breakfast at the lodge before leaving, and while it wasn't extraordinary, it was a convenient and decent way to start the day. One kind of quirk is the people making drinks are also checking people in and handling issues, so during peak times it's a bit chaotic and you have to wait awhile. Also often there would be two people working and both would be troubleshooting the same issue instead of diving and conquering. Service & Booking: Staff were friendly and responsive. I had an issue with a duplicate charge when booking, and while it took a couple of conversations to get it resolved, they ultimately handled it and added a couple of free drink tokens to make up for the hassle. That said, booking through their website was clunky and didn't work, ended up having to book through a third party site to get a room booked and some of what I saw online didn't quite match the reality, not in a major way, but enough to reset expectations a bit. EV Charging: The most frustrating part of the stay was the situation with EV charging. The lodge advertises Tesla destination chargers and they work flawlessly when you can actually access them. Unfortunately, there's no signage or enforcement. Every night we were there, non-EVs parked in the charging spots, often staying there all night. I even saw cars parked in the fire lane for hours, especially from people going to the adjacent restaurant, with no staff intervention. As someone who planned my stay and arrival times around having access to those chargers, it was disappointing. If you arrive late and are relying on charging overnight, you probably will be out of luck, especially if it's a peak time. Final Take: The Ozarker Lodge has a lot going for it: a distinctive vibe, cozy extras like s'mores and a creekside hangout, and friendly service. But they've got a few things to tighten up, especially EV charging. Still, I'd consider staying here again, especially if those kinks are ironed out.

This is no longer private owner ran. Rent Branson.com now handles this property…read more Good morning i've thought long and hard about what I would say to you all concerning our stay in Branson. Will you still live in Branson and when we left we would always come back and stay at red bed Cove. At that time it was a bed-and-breakfast and enjoyable clean place to stay. So I assumed even though a rental company had taken it over. It would be basically the same without the breakfast. Boy was I wrong! This has been absolutely the worst stay ever in Branson since 1975! I took a video upon arrival as I always do in case we needed to have something done. The place wasn't very clean upon arrival. Spiders were in the tub plus there were roaches. There is a mattress topper on the bed that is too small for the bed so the pillows sink into the space between the bed and the wall. The first evening we contacted rent Branson due the fire alarm battery going out. They came and changed those while we were out of the unit. We had to call them again in the evening due to two dogs in the next unit barking uncontrollably for over two hours because they were left in the unit by their self. We were told that they would contact the people. Maybe they did call them, didn't change anything second day again we had to contact rent. Branson due to the dog barking left unattended in the unit. We asked at that time if you couldn't move us to a different unit different place. We were told that they would check with management and see. The next day the carbon monoxide started beeping and it beeped continually we called again!!! we asked for management to contact us. That's a joke! Management does not contact anyone they could care less about the people that are renting from them. That next morning, while we were gone, they came in the apartment and took the carbon monoxide unit stating that the apartment didn't really need it. Even though there's a gas fireplace in it with a pilot light lit. Upon leaving the apartment they left my door unlocked! I was gone all day working came back to the apartment. The lights were on, and my door was unlocked. I told the office about that but as usual nothing. On our final night there a group of young men who rented a unit in our building saw the window on the lower floor and said there's a window and threw rocks at it. We were already in bed. I got up and went outside and confronted them, and I told them that I would be calling the police.

Every day we were served hot breakfast straight from the oven in the beautiful dining room. I think it can be truly said that if you start your day with a nice warm breakfast then everything seems right. This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and we loved it! Everyday there was something new and it was served to us right at our table. It made us feel pretty special. I cannot imagine how beautiful this place must look in winters covered with snow all around. We went in summer and everywhere we could see colorful flowers. The water in the lake was sparkling like diamond and it was so clear and peaceful and we used to spend hours looking at it.
