Based on all the 5 starts reviews I was really excited to have my truck serviced here. Unfortunately the receptionist made the experience extremely unpleasant. I called on Friday to get an oil change on my truck in preparation for a long trip. I asked them if they would take a look at everything else as well just to make sure all I needed was an oil change. The guy on the phone said no problem just bring it in on Monday and give them 3 hours and they will take care of everything. Upon arrival Monday morning I let the receptionist, Maria, know that I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change and general check up. She said to just leave my keys on the counter and returned to binge watching her Netflix show. She did not request any other information which I thought was a bit weird but I went with it because the reviews say this place is the best. After 4.5 hours I called to check the status of my truck and Maria said she didn't know anything and the mechanic was on lunch. I asked how much longer it would be and again she said she didn't know. She did say they are waiting for a part, but did not know which part. I asked if they had begun the oil change, she didn't know. I asked if the she knew when the part would arrive, she didn't know that either. I asked how long it would take once the part arrives, you get the point, she didn't know anything at all. I asked if she could call someone who did know what was going on. She said no. So 5 hours have passed, no information, no update, no communication about what was going on. I eventually just went down to the shop and stood there until I could talk to the mechanic, Adam, myself. He said they were waiting on an air filter. Two extra hours waiting on an air filter! I told them I could do it myself in 5 minutes. So I paid and left and won't be coming back until they get a new receptionist who can communicate with customers. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind waiting, especially for honest mechanics, but the lack of communication with customers is unacceptable when you have their vehicle in your possession. It's truly unfortunate for the business to have Maria as the face if the company because the mechanics seemed so competent and trustworthy. Maybe this was a one off experience with Codoni's (I sure hope so) but it was bad enough that I can't recommend them to others. If you do go, I hope you have a better experience than mine and after reading the other reviews.. go on a day Kevin is working. read more

The service was very personable, quick and most importantly cost-effective. The staff here are honest and fair with their assessment/prices. As a female, I did not feel taken advantage of or price gouged in any way. They made sure to call me prior to doing any necessary work and get my consent before completing the job. I took my 2004 Jeep Cherokee for a break job and i could be happier with the service that Kevin and his crew provided. I've had some vibrations and feedback in my steering wheel when braking on the freeways. Kevin took a look at all of the brake pads and determined that they were all at 50% and did not need replacing at this time. He cleaned and shaved the front rotors and replaced the back rotors, the car works amazingly well. Kevin also gave me a ride to the nearest Peet's coffee so i can get work done on my computer, while the car was being worked on. He was very good about staying in touch on the phone about what work was being done on the car. I almost forgot... he noticed that the oil needed to be changed and that the tires needed to be rotated. He took it upon himself to also take care of these issues. Thank you for your friendliness and your attention to my car. It was so great to get the brakes done, oil changes and the tires rotated in 3 hours. You guys are awesome! read more

It's so hard to find a good mechanic! And for the most of my life, my wonderful dad always took care of my car's needs. Now that I'm an adult and taking care of my things, I knew a time would time where I had to take care of my trusty old 97 Mustang. My baby from college! Anyway, last month my car started making these awful noises from my tires. It could have been making those noises much longer but then I didn't notice and seriously, why should I??? Anyway, when my tires were making really embarrassing noises, and really, I couldn't deal with it anymore, I asked my coworker for a recommendation. He immediately recommended Codoni's Auto Services, which was super close to work. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found them. Honestly, for someone like me who knows NOTHING about cars and don't really care to, I worry about being "taken for a ride" and ripped off. Kevin Codoni took care of my car and was super professional (and really nice) about fixing my brake pads and rotors and was really reasonable. He was very upfront with me about what needed to be fixed, how much the parts were and the labor, etc. Today, I had to go in to get my battery replaced. I hate it when those red lights/icon pop up in my dashboard. UGH. He was able to fit me in and got it done in a jiffy. Turns out my lower intake manifold is leaking (yep, new words learned today) and when I had this blank look on my face as he explained to me, he Googled the parts, then printed out the sheet (the part was all exploded and neatly labeled), and explained what needed replacing and how long, etc. Is this guy awesome or what?? I am not too happy with all the work that has to be done on my old car but at the same time relieved that I found a mechanic that is so upfront, nice and capable. They are also good about calling me to let me know and giving me rides to work, when I need it. I really don't want to see him this often (since it means I have to get something else fixed) but at least I know I'm getting good service for reasonable rates. Tow truck driver recommended Kevin Codoni and I am glad he did. Called yesterday for a brake job we were told we needed months ago and he got us in today. Within 30 minutes he called to let us know we have 35-40% left before needing to be done. $25 for the inspection. We asked him to go ahead and do the routine Lube and Oil instead of a brake job. The Tacoma was ready to go about 2-3 hours later. We had told him there was no hurry. Kevin seems honest and willing to let you know if work is really necessary or not. Long story short : Kevin went to bat for me with a dealer from whom I had just purchased a used car. He got them to replace an alternator that broke less than a week after purchase. He didn't have to do that. Although I was new to his shop and I would have happily paid him for doing the job himself he got the dealer to tow the car back to them and fix it at their cost. Excellent service! Superb! My car battery died near work and I decided to get it replaced. I called Codoni's and Kevin was super friendly over the phone. He checked his inventory right on the phone to make sure he had my vehicle's type of battery. Once he confirmed, he told me to come right by. We have found the answer to all our car problems at Codoni's. Kevin is honest reliable and the best mechanic we could have hoped for. Having had several bad experiences with dealers with over inflated prices and poor work we were recommended Codoni's. For example we were quoted $2,000 for our Mustang to be mended - Codoni's = $700.
