I totally recommend this place. The staff provided a wonderful atmosphere. The instructor, Gary, made the 4 1/2 hour class fly by. He covered and explained the basics very well with examples from his life experiences (he's an ex-firefighter with years of CPR & first aid experience) and he answered all of our questions. The class size was small enough to have him teach one on one if needed. We watched short instructional videos and practiced what we learned afterward with him overseeing us. And, for those to whom this matters, he did not curse, which is a plus in my book. Class started on time and ended with lots of time to spare. Snacks of granola bars, chocolate and coffee were provided, and for those of us who stayed for the second part (the first aid course), we got to share Gary's lunch, little mini Armenian pizzas, for free : ). I had never taken a CPR class before and was a little nervous with how this one would go, but within 8 minutes into the course, having such a non condemning instructor, my nerves went away. read more

I have been renewing my CPR and First Aid Certification with Code3Life for the past 6 years. I enjoy reviewing and updating my knowledge with them. Joe or Shant are usually the instructors for the classes that I take. They make the class fun and entertaining, which is perfect to grab and hold their audience attention. Code 3 Life is amazing! I needed to renew my BLS card so I called around for prices. Code 3 Life had the lowest rates, they were very nice and the location was very convenient for me. I enjoyed the class immensely and the high tech mannequins!! They have a very cool green light that goes on when you're doing CPR correctly. I never realized how much I needed to push down before! I definitely recommend this place. I am going back to get my ACLS and PALS soon! read more

Definitely the best BLS/ACLS-type class I've ever taken! Code 3 seems to be a small friendly business. I found them on google and chose them simply because the location was convenient for me. I expected it to be ordinary, but I was wrong. My instructor was Joe, the owner of the company. He has 20+ years' experience as a paramedic firefighter. It's clear he values the student experience and what we actually get out of the class. He said more than once that the most important thing is that we are equipped to care for the patient well. He is a fun guy and makes the class entertaining. He created an environment that made me feel totally comfortable bearing my knowledge gaps so that he could fill them in. Questions and participation were encouraged. Today was a less popular day, so it ended up being just me and one other student. She and I have similar healthcare jobs, so Joe tailored the day based on our specific strengths/weaknesses, scope of practice, etc. He also shared several fascinating stories that conveyed helpful information. The facility and equipment were great; they even had snacks and coffee available for free. I left feeling good about my knowledge (I did not feel that way going in). Zero complaints here.
