Delayed review here. I had to get my BLS renewed, STAT. Reached out via text, he sent back available times and we confirmed. Easy peasy. The building is pretty nondescript, but once go upstairs, you will see the sign for his office. Overall, the class was good and I feel like I got a bigger picture of what goes on around BLS. The time flew by, its an easy and informative refresher, and Chris is very easy to talk to. I would recommend the class with 2 thumbs up, and will likely come back to him if I am still in the neighborhood. read more

Called this guy, no answer. Texted him no answer. Three months later go by, I call again, no answer. I text him again and he finally responds with the date and time of the course. I text him to confirm for the date and time. He doesn't text back. So, since he didn't confirm the time, I didn't show up. I'm not going to drive somewhere if The appointment is not confirmed. He then texts me 20 minutes after the previous scheduled time saying "??", that's it. So I responded, sorry I didn't come because you didn't call or text me to confirm our time, so I didn't come. Also, my friend texted him about two weeks ago, and he's just replied yesterday. Dude is clearly super unorganized and can't even text/call potential customers back, that's just bad business. read more

I took a CPR and first aid class elsewhere but it wasn't AHA certified so I found WE CPR I gave Monrovia Unified his card because I would reccomend him to anyone looking for this certification. It was a GREAT experience. Nice and to the point. Didn't waste time just reading you slides. He talked about experiences and scenarios. Like asking "What would you do" Turns out what I would do, would cause harm to a client. He told me what I SHOULD do and WHY. This placed was recommended by one of my good friends. Yes it was that time of the year when I had to renew my BLS Certificate. My goodness have you notice how expensive It is to do that now? Back in 2015 mine cost me $25 it was a one day class about 2-4hrs long. Now it's completely different. All these companies are making so much profit from it, they charge hundreds for this shift class plus fees and separate charges like buying a book that you're probably never going to read! I am so happy I was sent to check this place. I learned to much and the class wasn't as long. Lots of hands on experience (my favorite) and just the teaching process the instructor used is very unique. After a few minutes into the class, I could already tell he's super passionate about what he does. His class was awesome, he's down to earth and makes the class stress free, he's knowledgeable, and his class schedule is flexible and accommodating. His class size is small, which for my instance, I was the only student, which I certainly prefer over other places I've gone to with 5-10+ students. I can't speak to the instruction because I never actually met the instructor. After showing up to a locked building at the appointed class time and being let in by another business owner, I waited half an hour and gave up. The instructor didn't respond to a text, his only mode of communication, which is sketchy and unprofessional in itself. I let the good reviews override my better judgment and initial impression. Bad idea and waste of a Sunday morning. Update: I did get a text back. Too bad I was already back home. People run late sometimes, myself included. I get it. First off, I had to renew my CPR card cause it had expired, and I waited for the last moment. I came across WE CPR on yelp. I Read the reviews saw the location and thought I would give it a try. I called Chris and he was very helpful and was very accommodating, plus his class schedule/ times totally worked for me. He took me in that same day at 4:30pm. Let me say, I have been through many different CPR instructors. This was my fifth time renewing my CPR BLS. Chris is very passionate about his work and I had a completely amazing experience. He teaches the information in a way like storytelling and keeps it entertaining by picking your brain. Tip: do not park in the 90 min parking and risk getting a ticket like I did. Chris is very knowledgeable and I was engaged the entire time in class. I took the class in his office with another student and received individualized learning the entire time. Thank you Chris! I had to get CPR certified for nursing school and was shocked that it is $80 for a one year certification from the American Red Cross. I'm surprised there aren't more yelp reviews on here. After calling several places and either not getting any calls back or the classes conflicted with my schedule, I was freaking out because I waited last minute to renew my BLS card. I desperately needed a new card by next week. Luckily I landed on this yelp site. Chris Bailey (CPR instructor) was very accommodating to work around my busy schedule. I called Friday and was able to attend class by Monday (today). He is very passionate and enthusiastic about teaching. All instructors, not just CPR instructors, should teach the way he teaches. Instead of watching boring videos or listening to a long boring lecture of CPR guidelines, Chris gave several real life scenarios and taught it in a way that you would never forget. Although it was a couple of hours long, you will not even notice that hours have gone by. You will come out this course very knowledgeable and prepared. Oh, and did I mention his class is AFFORDABLE?
