Coconut Rabbit Dumpling
Sanny C.

I had this place bookmarked for the longest time. Finally tried it yesterday. Nothing really hit the spot. Somehow, everything was a tad too sweet. The pad see ewe was pretty sweet in my opinion. Especially, there wasn't much noodles. The noodles were like little pieces. So difficult to eat. I think it would have tasted a lot better if the noodles were noodles instead of crumbs. Tofu was ok and the greens were ok. The coconut rabbit dumplings were ok. A little bit too tangy and sweet. Not my type of dumplings. The Thai lime tea was ok. A little too sweet as well, but it was good. Service was ok. I don't think I will return unless someone I know wanna try it.

This place is decent! The noodle and curry dishes we got (pictured) were soooo flavorful. I will say, the curry is on the more watery side, as opposed to being creamy. Nothing wrong with that, just be aware in case of preference. The drinks (pictured) were good too! Stopped by on a week night and it wasn't too crowded, so we were served immediately. The staff is helpful, and the interior is clean and decorated. Located within a plaza surrounded by other businesses and ample parking.

Green Curry chicken, not bad

I came here once many years ago, and all I remembered was that the portions were on the smaller side. Fast forward to this weekend,I was in the area and found this to be the only restaurant around that wasn't packed. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai, and while the color looked a bit pale compared to other places, it turned out to be the lightest yet most flavorful Pad Thai I've ever had. Not greasy at all, and the chicken tasted like the good-quality kind I usually only get when I cook at home. The Crying Tiger, however, was a huge letdown--bland in flavor and the steak was so dry it was a workout to chew. The interior has a more upscale vibe compared to most Thai restaurants. what I appreciated, especially the generous space between tables.

Came here on my lunch break, staff and service we're sweet. Luckily came in right before their rush started. Food was good. Ordered the Papaya salad and Pad Thai with beef and Thai tea. Would definitely come back. Good spot and lots of parking.

The food was delicious and the decorations were nice and simple. Service was quick and with a smile. I always get Green Curry Chicken. It was delicious, but not my favorite. I like mine with eggplant and they don't make it with eggplant. Our jungle noodles were delicious!

This Thai spot is low-key one of the best in town. You walk in, and there's never a wait--almost suspiciously so. It's clean, efficient, and has all the staples: papaya salad, tom kha noodle soup, drunken noodles, crispy chicken wings. The kind of menu that reads like a greatest hits album. And the food? Genuinely impressive. The flavors are bold, balanced, and taste like they came straight from a Bangkok street stall. Whoever's behind the scenes clearly knows their way around Thai cuisine, because everything comes out consistently delicious. Service is fast, prices are fair, and there's even a parking lot--which feels like hitting the jackpot around here. But the real reason I keep coming back? The coconut ice cream with mango. It's rich, refreshing, and absolutely deserves a chef's kiss. I'd make a detour just for that. If you're looking for reliable, flavorful Thai food in a laid-back spot, this place is a winner.

Thai food that's so good, it will keep you coming for more! We have been here a few times and love everything we order. Located in a shopping center in the city of Los Alamitos, near the Doh-Nut Hut, the Coconut Rabbit is a Thai Restaurant that looks good from the outside and tastes good on the inside. Coconut Rabbit has many specialities such as the Short Rib Panang Curry and Jungle Noodles. I also enjoyed the flavors and textures of the Pumpkin Chicken Red Curry which had a sweet mild heat. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and modern. So if you are looking for a place to eat Thai food in Los Alamitos, then hop on over to Coconut Rabbit and enjoy!

Got introduced to this place by my coworker! As soon as I walk in, the place is very nice! Bathroom is clean and liked the forest theme of the place. Even I ordered the Pad Thai. I was expecting something regular but this offered something different. The Pad Thai tasted light and healthy, very unique and different flavors from the usual type of Pad Thai I have tried in the past. I also tried some of my coworkers food and also very delicious. 9/10!

Tom Kha Noodle Soup with Chicken

Coconut Rabbit is a Thai restaurant located in a strip mall attached to Katella Deli, Bakery, and Restaurant. A friend and I came here on a weeknight for dinner. We got there a few minutes after they opened. We were greeted upon entering and immediately seated. My friend ordered the Green Curry with chicken and substituted the Crispy Roti Prata for thr rice. I got the Tom Kha Noodle Soup with chicken and an order of the Jungle Noodles with chicken to go. Our food came quickly. The Tom Kha was so good -- warm and comforting which is perfect for a chilly evening. It was creamy from the coconut milk and had a slight kick. Would have liked more spice, but I enjoyed it the way it was. It was also packed with chicken, mushrooms, and noodles which is a plus. I tried a piece of my friend's Roti Prata and it was amazing -- crispy, buttery, and flaky. It was the best Roti Prata I have had in a while. Would definitely get a side order of that in the future if not substituting it for rice. Overall, giving Coconut Rabbit a 5/5. Service was great. The staff are kind and attentive. The space is a good balance of traditional and modern, with high ceilings and bright lights. The food is delicious and good value for the price. Would highly recommend to others looking for Thai food or a new place to try. Definitely will come back to try other dishes.

Gỏi Đu Đủ (Papaya Salad, Vietnamese Style): 4.3/5 Their papaya salad is a fun twist on the traditional version. Instead of dried shrimp and fish sauce, they use vinegar, soy sauce, and tamarind. It gives the dish a lighter, sweet-and-sour vibe that's still really refreshing. Cá Kho Tộ (Braised "Fish" in Clay Pot): 4.5/5 Flavor-wise, this was my favorite. The sauce is rich and savory--perfect with rice and steamed veggies. The only downside is that the portion is a bit small for the price, but the taste definitely delivers. It actually reminded me a little of kho quẹt, which I loved. One thing that gave me pause was an odd incident in the restroom--there was a man inside the women's room. Not sure if it was an honest mistake or something else, but it did make me a little more aware of my surroundings. Nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but worth noting for safety.

Arrived 1pm Sunday with a party of five & it was absolutely packed. Waited about 25 minutes to be seated. Service: 4/5 The front door hostess was a bit abrupt when calling out names, but once seated, we were able to order quickly, within 5 minutes. Our waiter was friendly and provided solid recommendations when we asked. Interior: 5/5 The decor is beautifully themed with Buddhist aesthetics, giving the space a temple-like vibe. The restaurant was also very clean. Food: The menu is vegetarian and Buddhist-friendly, with options to request dishes without onions or garlic. Food arrived quickly within 5 minutes of ordering. Malaysian Fried Rice (5/5): Packed with flavor and complemented by crispy "meat." Not spicy, but delicious. Beef Pho (4/5): The broth had a great depth of flavor, with mushrooms serving as the main topping. Spring Rolls (4/5): Crunchy, flavorful, and paired with a fish sauce substitute that tasted impressively close to the real thing. The only minor issue I had is the single bathroom stall, which could lead to a long wait during busy hours.
