A Bakersfield staple. You can't go wrong with the tri-tip and chicken family dinners. Great salsa!

It was a delicious meal, all the proteins were well cooked and it was seasoned perfectly. I ordered it medium and it had just the right amount of heat, I might be able to go up one more heat level if I was feeling adventurous but their medium was just right. The Thai Tea was fantastic as well, you can't really go wrong with Thai Tea. I finished the meal with one of their mango ice cream macaroons and I really enjoyed that as well. The shell was nice and crispy and complimented the sweet mango ice cream perfectly . It was a really great first experience and has me excited to head back one day to try out some of their seafood.

We made a big mistake ordering peeled shrimps because the shrimps received were very small. Lesson learned, always keep the head-on for shrimps! They also skimped heavily on the sauce, which is a dealbreaker for Cajun food. The Works sauce has good flavor, but there wasn't nearly enough of it. Paying that much for so little is a bit frustrating. I've tried many different cajun seafood places and I don't think I'll be visiting here again.

They're a…read morelong time, go to for my father and I after work outs and post practice meals in my youth, as well as a regular for plenty of family nights. Coconut Joe's is still a welcomed regular at any family gathering and a personal favorite of mine to this day. They've always had a strong burger. The huli huli burger n fries which is their pineapple burger is my favorite. For family style eating, their half pack and full packs are perfect. Their tri tip is good on its own, but with the corn, rice, and coleslaw mixed in with it is next level and the flavor always brings me back good times. The vibe inside is super fun. They fully embrace the surfer theme and have surf decorations wall to wall. Their televisions play classic surf trip movies which are fun to watch. Sometimes in the winter they will play snowboard and ski trip videos. Back in my youth, this was one of my favorite parts of the experience. I still love it, but don't get to dine in as often as I used to. They're great for take out, though I find the burger and fries are best enjoyed fresh in the restaurant.

The service was top notch, and the ambiance is over the top wonderful (as always). We had the tri-tip, bbq chicken, and then split a large plate of fish & chips. The fish was about half of what you would get at lengthwise for a similar price, but very delicious. The tri-tip was as good as I remember and waaaaaaaaay more flavorful than Harris BBQ (on Buena Vista). The bbq chicken was delicious, but the drumstick was the size of my index finger, so small compared with 11 years ago, but all chicken seems to be getting smaller and smaller at all restaurants. Overall, we are happy with the results, and it's nice to see that a restaurant that weathered COVID and all the price hikes is still making quality food. (We only took off one star for portion size as at $66 for lunch, there are many places that will fill us up...such as Lengthwise).

First off it was a steady flow of customers for a Wednesday evening. Many birthdays! We were sat immediately and waiter came to take our drink order. I had a mango chamoy margarita, while my husband got a roasted chili cucumber margarita on the rocks. His drink was SPICY! I ordered the shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the chicken and steak molcajete. Our food was brought out super fast! The portions - humongous! But the food is so good! My husband is super picky when it comes to Mexican food, and he said this molcajete is his favorite so far compared to other Mexican restaurants we've been to. The bright colorful colors and great music selection really make it joyous and fun dining experiences. Highly recommend.
