We decided to come here for Mother's Day figuring it'd be a great place for a big group. We had to wait about 40 minutes which was fine since it was a holiday. The service was amazing considering how busy they were. Our drinks were refilled quickly and our plates taken so we could head out for more food. There were so many options out there but my fave by far was the omelette bar! The guy cooking was talented as he flipped each omelette to perfection. Love this place and will continue to come for both food and drinks! read more

Went here with a group to watch world cup final. We were seated in the back room our beverage orders taken. This place is a lot larger than it seemed. Service is excellent which was awesome. Every single staff member we interacted with was kind and informative. Food was great we got the buffet, so much to choose from. Omelets and fruit chile Verde, mole oh way too much to mention. This definetly won't be our last time. All tortillas made fresh and in house so so good. Well if you were like me and had never been here, give this place a try, I doubt that you will be disappointed. So Im already looking forward to the next time. read more

My family and I ate here the other night. The food was delicious, the service was great, the interior was beautifully decorated. The salsa has a good flavor and spice level, but I prefer pieces of tomato and onion in my salsa. Chips were good and pupusa's are delicious! read more

the food was excellent! loved the taste and was hot and ready to perfection. I had the steak and shrimp and shrimp cocktail. I wish the shrimp were a bit bigger there was more rice but the flavor of the meat was superb and grilled. The cocktail was perfect and not salty or bland. lot of people having a good time eating and watching the game in the bar. the service was top notch. very attentive and helpful. very clean inside as well. read more

Came for dinner on a Friday night with some friends. Senor P's is poppin'! The wait was not too long and the staff/servers were great. They even moved us seats once a booth opened up. Something really strange about this place is their menu's don't have prices, just dollar signs. I jokingly told everyone that the burrito was "market price". Chips are salsa were decent. Salsa needed a bit more salt. The server seemed a little confused when I asked if their steak burrito was thick cut steak or traditional asada. Anywho, I risked it and ordered a burrito and a pupusa. My wife got the enchiladas suizas , with guac and cream on the side. The burrito was ok. More beans than anything. The pupusa was still a little raw and doughy in the center, while also lacking the delicious salty chicharon. My wife, who if you've followed us for a bit, is someone who is not picky at all and even she didn't like anything on her plate. Ah well, another lackluster meal with bland , americanized food. read more

This was my first time visiting, and while I haven't tried the regular sit-down dining, my first impression was that the place itself is very nice and well kept. The buffet room is on the smaller side, with long tables that seat about 12 people each. Seating felt a bit limited, though I assume there may be an additional room for overflow. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, including seafood, American breakfast and lunch items, and an omelet station, which was a plus. The service was good--someone was always checking on us and attentive throughout our visit. That said, while there were many choices, the food itself was average overall. We paid about $60 for two drinks and the buffet, which felt a bit pricey for the quality, though the variety does help justify it somewhat. Overall, a decent experience with good service and plenty of options, but the food didn't quite stand out enough for the price. read more

Our experience at Señor Pepe's was great. I will give it 4 stars because when we first walked in there was no one to greet us and when we asked if there was seating they simply shrugged their shoulders and didn't know where to seat us. The food was delicious though, and the drinks were really good. The bartenders were quick with meeting our needs at the bar. We went for a soccer watch party and it was great ambience, really fun! read more

Plenty of parking , greeted with a big smile and welcome in when I walked through the door. I like trying new places and for me to return to a restaurant really says something about their food . The bar was packed being a Friday night . Plenty of laughs and music coming from the bar area, there were people eating in the bar area , With in 3 minutes chips and salsa arrived and I ordered an ice tea. The Mexican music was at just the right volume to set the mood, you feel like getting up and dancing. I ordered the chicken taco and chicken enchilada with rice and beans, also a side of flour tortillas, they are home made here!! The paintings and decor are interesting enough that the 10 minutes it took to get my food wizzed right by. The folks next to me ordered the fajitas and the sizzle and fresh smell made my stomach rumble. When my plate came it was piping hot and looked great, the chicken was tender and the sauce was not too spicy. The enchilada sauce was a tomato based sauce that was good . The refried beans tasted home made and the rice was really good , let's not forget the home made tortillas, yum!!! If your on this side of town it's a good option, recommend read more

My wife and I decided to try out the restaurant buffet today after church this early afternoon. We hit a gold mine. We were greeted by the waiters and a waitress with simply hello and welcome smile. We were seated pretty fast. Then ordered are drinks and started heading for the plates to look at are options of goodies. They have some much variety of different types of food meals and my favorite for the weekend menudo or pozole. They have a gentle cooking up fresh omelets of your choices. Then do forget a table full different types of desserts to chose from. While eating they make sure table is cleaned off and ready for round two or three and so on. Friendly service and well mannered employees all smiling enjoying their day. The atmosphere feels well welcomed and cheerful, along with great music that is not too loud to talk over. I felt like I was on vacation the way the music was played along with scenery, very relaxed. The service was on point every time I looked they were quick, fast pace and eager to help. Now back to the food. I tried out every variety of food that they have and all was very delicious. The only complaint is myself I needed more room in stomach because when it was time to get desert I was stuffed like a turkey on thanksgiving, but happy stuff turkey. My wife and I enjoyed are time there and highly recommend the buffet at Senor Pepe's restaurant they are a top 5 star on food and cleanness. Top number one so far here in Bakersfield for Mexican buffet. We will be back are next visit soon!! read more

What a pleasant surprise. We were craving a Sunday morning Mexican food buffet, so we decided to try Senor Pepe since they are open earlier than other restaurants. First off, despite there being lots of cars when we arrived (a good sign) there is still plenty of parking. We were greeted by a friendly hostess when we entered the restaurant. It only took a few minutes to be seated. Since we wanted the buffet, we made our way over there. Good Lord! They have so many delicious options. It was impossible to try everything. From freshly made omelets to order, to enchiladas, carnitas, chile colorado, chile verde, and so much more! Did I mention desserts and homemade flour or corn tortillas too!! And all for $19 per person. We were so impressed with this place. The food, service and ambiance were all on point. Next time we'll add a margarita or two. Really delicious food. read more

Went here on a Sunday afternoon, a little bit past lunch time, and there were still a decent amount of people. Service was fast and we were immediately seated. Had my go-to, shrimp tacos, and it was tasty. There was also a good amount of rice and beans on my plate. We were always checked on, asking how the food was and offering refills for our water. As we went out, we saw some function rooms available which we thought was cool and would probably fit more than 30 people at a time. read more

All the food was bomb! My enchiladas, rice, and beans were soooo good. The salsa was exactly how I liked it. Their chips were also very crispy and delicious. Their michelada was pretty good, but their strawberry margarita was too strong for my liking, I couldn't finish it. Tables felt kinda small, and with all our food, it felt kind of squished. Staff was friendly but not as attentive as I would like. No doubt, when I'm craving enchiladas, yes, I will be returning! read more

The food here was terrible. The food was cold and just made terribly. I had ordered the nacho and half way into my plate I couldn't finish it. I got so grossed out with how my food tasted. The steak on my nachos had too many fatty pieces and it was very chewy, the cheese wasn't even melted properly and all my nachos got soggy in a span of 5 minutes. There was no flavor in my food as well. My partner had ordered the chicken tacos and the chicken was so chewy. Some lady kept hovering over the tables to buss them but it felt uncomfortable especially while we were still eating. I wanted to get my money back on nachos but she took it before the server even came. Honestly not a good experience, not going back. read more

It was amazing only been there twice and it was consistent both times it's just good food good price

We went to Señor Pepe's on a Saturday night. They were not busy at all. The wait staff was very kind and attentive to us. Although there are very few explicitly vegetarian options on the menu, we asked what they could make for us. Our server was very kind and explained what they could make veggie! We ended up ordering a quasadilla, enchiladas, plantains, and the veggie fajitas. The quesadilla was simple but good, and the fajitas came out sizzling hot! We definitely thought the veggies were a little under-seasoned in both, though. The rice and beans were delicious. The enchiladas were good too, but the sauce definitely tasted like a standard jar sauce you would buy at the grocery store. The restaurant itself was nice and clean. Loved the red booths. Overall we had a pretty good experience here, but Bakersfield definitely has better options for Mexican food read more

Hubby and I wanted to do a late dinner date night & I decided to give Señor Pepe's a since I've heard nothing but good things about this place.. Let's start with the hostess greetings, she was nice and friendly. We got sat down quickly for being a Saturday night I thought it was going to be packed but it wasn't at all. We got sat down in the dinning room but ended up moving to the bar section due to the waitress saying hubby would need to get up to order his drink.. so we moved. It was a bit awkward when we got to the bar room, employees sitting down talking which I honestly didn't mind as it was an hour to closing. Anyways, hubby ended up ordering the steak fajitas & me the shrimp & steak fajitas.. there was a bit of a mix up on the order but was resolved by a different waitress. Hubby wasn't a big fan of the rice, said it tasted like fish.. he did enjoy the steak fajitas. My dish was the one that got mixed up as I was served steak & chicken.. cook ended up cooking some shrimp on the side for me.. besides the mix up the fajitas were good, I liked the rice, had a different taste but good.. the beans for me weren't that great.. Dr Pepper on the other hand delicious.. now hubby ordered a Paloma I believe the first one was good.. then he ordered a second one & that one just tasted like soda.. honestly, he didn't even want to drink it but since we already paid for it, he wasn't going to let it go to waste. Everyone was friendly, fajitas delicious, rice okay & beans ehh.. Dr Pepper 10/10.. probably won't be back.. most likely will stick to our regular go to Mexican restaurant.. Overall it was okay, wouldn't recommend to family.. but maybe we'll try again during the lunch specials.. Bill came out to $68 & some change. read more

We came after work for Happy Hour. Easy and plenty of parking. Would enjoy seeing more options on the Happy Hour selections including appetizers and drinks. I ordered the 5.00 wings and a shredded beef quesadilla. A larger portion for the quesadilla would be good or a smaller price. Overall we had a good experience. read more

We took out of town relatives for lunch since we hadn't been there awhile and were surprised with the quality of their food. I ordered the chili verde enchiladas and they came out lukewarm, dry and didn't taste anything like chili verde. I didn't ask our guests about their food but noticed they both left most of it on their plate. We used to enjoy eating here but no more. read more

OMG, we just had the perfect lunch with the most excellent service! Valentino was awesome... we came on a Monday just before 1pm... seated immediately and treated like we were long lost cousins... the restaurant (and bathroom) was spotless. I ordered the 2 item lunch combo - Shredded Beef taco and a chicken enchilada and my wife had the Chili Verdi Burrito... I just about licked my plate dry... hers was too much to eat in one sitting so we'll have great leftovers later. We tipped the "busser" who did absolutely everything. This guy didn't do anything, stopped at the table to take our order and it never once stopped by again. I'm actually kind of disgusted that he is a server and gets tips that he does not deserve. read more

Will never be going back here! We were sat down at our table and after 25 minutes not one waitress came to our table, and we watched all other tables around us being sat after us getting their orders taken. Not once did any waitress come by our table except the chips and salsa lady and to give us our drinks but that was it nada. Meanwhile every server kept looking at us as they walked by even prior to us getting drinks and looked us dead in our eyes knowing we didn't have drinks in front of us w a clean table a clear sign no one has greeted us yet. Not even a smile as they passed by eagerly waiting on every other table around us. I advised the host as to what had happened and she looked at me and asked me what table were you sitting at again? As if we didn't just get seated by you 20 minutes ago?! Appalling service read more

My family decided to come to Mother's Day brunch and after a surprisingly short wait (after my brother decided to not call ahead haha) we were sat in the banquet room. Dion greeted us quickly and with great energy. Even though it was busy he was attentive and we needed for nothing. Some of the best service I've ever received in any restaurant from fine dining to chain. The bussers were also on top of it as well! I wish I had a crew as in tune at the restaurants I've worked at. 6 stars! Thank you again to Dion and his support staff! Came in around 4:30 on a Wednesday alone for happy hour. I got a well drink and the mini nachos, which were both unremarkable. My server came back once, and I ordered a 32oz. beer because it was clear they would bot be checking on me again soon. I was right.
