We had our wedding there on 10.12.19. Shannon and her team are absolutely AMAZING!!! We had a long engagement and had been planning for 2 and a half years. Over those two years we met with Shannon multiple times. I had a few pictures I showed her of things I liked but man oh man she absolutely blew me away. She had a vision and just brought it to life on the most important day for us. Everything went soooo incredibly smooth! Shannon also did our florals which I highly recommend. All of my friends and family have been ranting and raving about our wedding and how gorgeous it was! So I highly recommend Shannon and The Belle Rae venue!!!!

I planned a last minute bridal shower for a friend and when I say last minute I had 2 weeks to do this thing. The Belle Rae made this experience stress free, fun and easy. Becca and Shannon couldn't have made this shower any better. The decor was so beautifully done and so detail oriented. We went with the all inclusive package and the best money ever spent. I didn't have to set up or take down they cut the cake for us, made sure champagne was flowing. I will be using them again and all of our guests were blown away at how perfect the shower came out. The bride was in tears and I could not have done it without all of there help. Thank you Belle Rae for a fabulous afternoon :)

I cannot begin to express how wonderful my experience has been with The Belle Rae (but I am going to try!). My husband has been going there since they opened to buy flowers and every experience has been an awesome one. They have always been so helpful when picking out the perfect bouquets for him to bring home. A few months ago we started planning my baby shower and were delighted to find out that they had all inclusive packages for smaller events. And when I say all inclusive I mean everything- planning, decor, linens, flatware, glasses, floral, and service. I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR MORE. From our first meeting to our last all of my questions were answered and needs were met. Michelle and Shannon are amazing! They perfectly captured the Tea Party theme and delivered more then I could have ever imagined. The day was perfect!!! Now I need to come up with another party idea so I can have another event in their space. THANK YOU!

We hired FunFlicks for a large Community Night event serving students and families, and…read moreunfortunately, I would not use their services again. We paid an additional $99 early-arrival fee for their team to arrive at 5:30 PM because our movie was scheduled for 8:00 PM and we wanted everything completely set up and tested before families arrived. Their team arrived shortly after 5:30 PM, but setup was not completed until around 6:50 PM, right as families were beginning to arrive. FunFlicks later told us in writing that they allocate approximately an hour and a half for setup and testing for the 26' screen arrangement we rented. That made the situation even more concerning to me because without the early-arrival fee, the normal setup timeframe would not have provided enough time before our scheduled movie. When it was time for the movie to begin, we also experienced technical difficulties and members of our own staff had to become involved in troubleshooting. The movie started late. We hired and paid for a professional, staffed movie service specifically so our team could focus on our students, families, and Community Night--not troubleshoot the movie setup. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. We also had a concerning interaction with one of their technicians later that evening on the school campus. I reported the situation to FunFlicks management. After investigating, they acknowledged in writing that the customer service our team experienced was "unacceptable" and told us corrective measures had been taken. I appreciated that acknowledgment and initially felt they were taking our concerns seriously. Where I became especially disappointed was with the resolution. Our event price was $1,198 before taxes and fees. Despite the multiple issues we experienced, their adjustment to this event was ultimately $99. They also offered 50% off a future event. I explained that we were unsure we would ever use FunFlicks again after this experience, so offering a significant discount only if we gave the company more business didn't feel like a meaningful way to make the current situation right. We ultimately paid the remaining balance. I understand that events don't always go perfectly and technical issues can happen. My concern is the combination of the setup experience, delayed movie, our staff having to assist with troubleshooting, the technician interaction, and then the resolution afterward. For an organization hosting an event for children and families, reliability, professionalism, and how problems are handled matter tremendously. Based on our experience from beginning to end, I would not recommend FunFlicks for an event like ours.

I must say this was my first time actually staying in Bakersfield and I was honestly surprised that…read morethe Marriott was completely booked! Granted it looked like all construction workers because there was nothing else but oversized trucks in their parking lot! My fiancé Googled "clean hotel without bed bugs" and Padre Hotel came up first! Their online reviews were great and we were exhausted and needed to rest! We pulled into their valet parking just to drop off our things. As my fiancé parked the car, across the street in the over night garage, I was able to get a Single King room on a Monday night for $159. As we walked into our room #701, it was rather small, but fine since it was just the two of us. As I sat on the bed, it was actually hard! Yay!!!! I can't STAND soft beds and rather sleep on the floor! Haha no joke! Then my fiancé went into the restroom and suddenly he tapped on something glass sounding as I was turning ing on the tv..... I noticed there was a curtain by the bed, so I pulled it across and lo and behold by the bed was the shower and just a curtain the person from the outside of the shower could open/close as they please..... hee. We also had a mini fridge in the room along with a desk and chair. We had planned on staying one night, but got inside LA, and we figured we'd extend our stay. Upon doing so, we went downstairs the next day and asked if there was a deal if we could stay 3-4 days, and sure enough there was!!!! It's always great to see what happens once you ask! Hee. We got a larger room with a corner room location, I forgot the room number, but the restroom was larger and had a separate wall between the toilet and shower area, so if someone was in the shower, someone else could use the toilet and not be seen. This longer hotel room also had a chaise lounge chair and a better view of their downtown area, granted a lot of the places have closed. Overall, I honestly loved our stay here! It reminded me of a county version of The Fairmont SF! They constantly played new aged country music in the lobby! Then on Fridays and Saturdays there was a live band or singer in the bar area! I love how they had a community aspect to the hotel with some local live entertainment!!! My fiancé also loved watching The Knicks play on the bar tv with other people at the bar! Hee. Oh and they had an adorable coffee shop that made Ready To Order items downstairs too! See my review at Farmacy Cafe, but too freaking too! Country SHREK! Hee We will definitely be back again!!!!!

The estate itself is available to rent out for family reunions, a romantic getaway, or ladies retreat weekends. They can also accommodate events...weddings, quincenearas, corporate events, fundraisers, school proms, etc. Almost any size event or experience can be accommodated. The owners, Frank and Sanam, are very warm and welcoming. They are perfectionists who want to make your experience the absolute best it can be. The home itself is ... wow ... just wow. Magnificent. You pull into the gated drive, there is a beautiful fountain roundabout. Double doors welcome you into the foyer and you are immediately awed by a grand double staircase leading to the second floor. There are so many beautiful and functional living spaces, a pool table, chefs kitchen (perfect for a cooking demonstration experience or wine tasting event), plenty of set up space for caterers and other event staff to unload and organize, a magnificent custom built dining table with velvet brocade chairs, more crystal chandeliers than I could count! My husband would die for the full theater room (complete with three rows of comfy reclining chairs and cozy blankets). Upstairs there are four Juliet balconies overlooking the 20 acre estate and lake. Every bedroom suite has its own bathroom and sitting areas. The master suite has a two way fireplace so you can bask in the warmth in bed and in the sitting area. The master bathroom has a massive shower and bathtub. The bridal suite features a custom sitting area, three salon quality stations, a huge gilded mirror. No detail has been spared for their guests comfort. There are graceful winding stairs leading down to the courtyard from the bridal suite...imagine the entrance a bride could make descending the stairs while attendants rained down rose petals from the balcony! The venue offers many wedding packages, including an all inclusive package...relax and everything is taken care of for you! Plus, you can honeymoon right there on the estate. Wow! Outdoors there are areas for soccer, tennis, a pool, outdoor sitting areas, barbecue area, strung lights, a beautiful gazebo draped in mature wisteria. Oh, and did I mention that there is a PRIVATE LAKE! There are fish in the lake and you are welcome to bring your fishing pole! There is a boat loading dock. The sunsets from the Juliet balcony in the bridal suite are awe inspiring. There are so many amazing possibilities for this beautiful place. Whether you are planning a romantic tête-à-tête, a dance party (no noise restrictions or curfew!), a corporate event, or pampering weekend for you and your girls, or the wedding of your dreams this is the place! I am hoping to hold a fundraiser here next year for a non-profit organization and can't wait to plan it! I hope you are able to come out and plan your event, big or small. Absolutely stunning versatile venue, stellar customer service and genuinely nice owner/operators.
