Unfortunately, this place opened up just prior to the pandemic, or during the pandemic, and the quality and quantity of their meals was excellent for the price but recently, as always, the price has gone up in the quality, and the quantity of the meals has diminished. We used to eat there all the time but now, I don't think I could really recommend it? When we arrived we thought the restaurant was closed because the blinds were all drawn and it was dark inside with a handwritten sign on the door that when read up close says "closed 3-4 daily". We ordered the green Curry #43 and a Thai style papaya salad. The food was delicious especially the curry however the place is not as clean as it used to be and they really should open the blinds. They had a lot of items stored in plain sight and so it gave a cluttered appearance. The service was ok as they did mess up our order and were a little slow but the food made up for it. I've had a lot of Thai and Lao food living here in Merced and there are definitely better places than this one. read more

Their Pad Thai is 10/10 delicious, amazing flavor every time! Orange chicken 10/10, stays crispy! Egg rolls 8/10. Korean BBQ 0/10, wouldn't recommend to anyone for the price you get 4 small pieces of bone in meat, they're about the size of a piece of bacon, very dry and tough and the flavor just isn't great. This place is a hidden gem within Merced! Pad Thai is delicious and you can have no spice or all the spice in the world lol. Ive also tried the fried tofu which was amazing. I would never ever eat something like that but saw someones picture and gave it a try. Im SO glad I did, it was flippin delicious! The PHO? AMAZE BALLS! And as always, I order a thai tea or coffee which completes the meal. Staff is very friendly, they are quick with getting you your food and the prices are reasonable. We decided to give this place a try tonight since it is right by our house. No regrets! We tried a lot of dishes- Duck Pho, Pork Chop, Pad Thai, Orange chicken, Beef salad, Spring rolls, and Pork belly. All were delicious. Lots of food, so we will enjoy leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Always check your bill ..I was with 4 adults an 2 children.. I didn't check my bill thoroughly.. but after tipping $20 on a $110 tab .. I got home an my wife noticed that they added gratuity $19.99 . Tried them twice..1st time they didn't listen when I asked not to spicy, they ended up giving me (too spicy) and I couldn't eat it (this was take out, so I was disappointed because I couldn't return it since I was home and hungry). 2nd time I went in for dine in and food was insipid (bland). Food was great! I'm Laotian and Hmong and I know great food when I've tired it. I had their Tom yum salad, I don't remember the name but it had great flavors if you're looking for a refreshing taste and perfect amount of sourness. I also ordered the pad see ew and yellow curry. The pad see ew was a little more bland and the curry was on the thicker side. Curry had great flavor though I just wish it had a little more med-thin sauce. The experience was great as well. I'm pretty upset that my first review of this restaurant was removed. I've made food reviews on here pretty often of various restaurants in town and out of town. I've been here several times since they've opened and have not been disappointed by the foods, service, presentation and cleanliness of the place. I often drop by to eat in or order out because I'm too exhausted to cook after work. They always greet you with a smile, the food reminds me of home cooked meals. The presentation of their food always looks amazing and the tastes hasn't disappointed me yet. I went back with my family for some Lao style papaya salad today. The hubs had combination pho, a melon boba slushy and I also had the duck egg noodle soup. The pho portions were huge and the broth was delicious, not oily at all. I wanted to try some dessert but was too stuffed after stuffing myself with all the yumminess. I will definitely save my appetite for the dessert on our next visit! If you get take out make sure they got your order right before you go home because in my experience they have messed up several times ( now I check) if you go inside be prepared to wait an eternity lol. On Saturday 5/29/21, we walked in were seated at a table then after about 10 minutes, the waitress came over and took our drink order. About 15 minutes later, a family of 4 came in and was seated at the table next to us to have their waitress take their drink and appetizer order. As we sat there WAITING in the course of the hour, we saw others around us eating and drinking as we attempted to patiently wait. Tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but clearly it was too much for the waitress who was attending our area to handle.
