Crispy pork belly
Dang Y.

Food wasn't all that great. Food was on time as promised. Papaya salad was bland, tasted like water and fish sauce only. Crispy pork belly under salted. Good portion of rice. The Chicken wings were only party wings and not full wings.

Pad see ew, Bbq beef & Thai fried rice. Yes, we ate some b4 photo!

Great service, great food! Thank Yelp for another great recommendation! We couldn't wait to wait to eat, thus photo is after we chowed down. Food had great flavors and portion were good. -Thai fried rice: shrimp, calamari, scallops -Pad see ew: sliced beef, fat rice noodles and American broccoli stir fried with a lightly sweet soy sauce. -BBQ beef, large portion, side of cucumbers and rice. Location HIDDEN in backside of business center next to Indonesian grocery store. Plenty of parking. Ambiance

Mongolian beef

Entrees have decreased in size. Kung Pao chicken dish with medium spice had no taste. Mongolian beef just okay. Pork belly appetizer was good but just fried fat. Finally, Tom yum soup was tasty but mushrooms old. Price was reasonable but frozen entree would be as good if not better. Liked this place on the past but won't return.

Shrimp wrapped in blanket

Ate here on a late Monday night, there business hours said they closed at 830 but when we got there at roughly 730 we were told they were closing at 8 so we had to hurry up and order. Was a little taken back but didn't really have too much of an issue with that since I already look at the menu or places before go, so we had a good idea of what we wanted already. We got the Pad Se Ew combo noodles, Combo Thai fried rice, and Shrimp in a blanket. Everything came out nice and fresh and the portions were enough to share with another person. It was also nice that for the noodles they don't put spice in it already, they have sauces on the table for you to make it how ever spicy you want. Everything tasted great! I would love to come back and eat here earlier to really get a better feel for the place. But for them getting ready to close the food was good.

Chicken Chow Mein
Reviews By A And L.

This restaurant has been one of our favorite spots for a couple of months and we always had a pleasant experience, but on this occasion we didn't get the best service seemed a bit understaffed because it took longer and their drink machine was down - it happens - but should've been prepped. We got our usual appetizer of spring rolls and they came with this cute heart shaped sauce that we both loved. As for the main course we both decided on new items one was the Pineapple fried rice and the chow mein. The chow mein could've used more seasoning, it was very bland, however, the fried rice did not disappoint. If our service was nicer and fast we definitely would've given a full 5 star review. All in all, this place is a must stop spot in Merced.

Chicken Fried Rice & Eggrolls

This place always hits the spot. My go to is the chicken fried rice and veggie egg rolls. The cashier was the nicest asking about my day but I didn't catch her name the service here is always great but today was just a take out day. The ambiance in the restaurant was amazing with music playing and they were packed!!

We tried to get a table at Mr pho but it was too long of a wait. I had heard good things about this place. Very clean restaurant. It's definitely more Thai than Vietnamese. My wife really enjoyed the food. I prefer Mr pho. It's definitely worth a try. The service was ok.

I came here for lunch with my mom and sister while visiting the food was really good. The service was nice. The food came relatively fast. I just wish I got my food a little bit more spicier, but it was all very good.

Came here for a late lunch and left feeling so Thai-food satisfied! The SO and I were in Merced for the day and ended up coming to Coconut Cafe about 45 minutes before they closed for siesta. We were seated immediately in a small booth. The inside looked like it was getting ready to turn down for their hour break between lunch and dinner (lights off, only natural light peeking through). There's a very cute flower wall for the aesthetic, but mostly it is very industrial with exposed ceilings and some really cool-looking steampunk-esque sconces dotting the walls. We ordered: Thai coffee - great pick-me-up; creamy and caffeinated as it should be Mango slush - tasted like artificial mango (per the SO) like powdery, we would probably skip this one next time Chicken satay - comes with 4 skewers and peanut sauce - pretty basic Chicken chow mein - SO said this tasted great Priew wahn with chicken - very saucy, would probably order this with a different protein next time Pad thai with chicken - SO loved the taste of this one and wished he had ordered this for himself. I loved the huge portion and that I could add my own amount of spice to it using the spices available at our booth. Roasted duck red curry - super flavorful and had plenty of fatty duck pieces. A tiny bit spicy, but so delicious Everything came out timely and piping hot. Service was basic but the ladies were nice. In the end, Coconut Cafe is definitely on my radar to return! I must try their other dishes!

I love Thai food so it's not hard for me to decide what Thai food is good or not and their food is delicious.

If we believe that…read moretomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today -- Thich Nhat Hanh Driving into a Central Valley town around 8 means you are hopeful to find a decent place to eat at, regardless of the hardship you might endure ;-) Noah's was an excellent find! Open later, in a decent area, with friendly service. Nd absolutely amazing pricing!! We got spring rolls, shaken beef, chicken satay and a salad for $37 dollars plus $9 tip. Oh, and that was with a Diet Coke too. Insanity. Food was very good with the favorite being the $12 shaken beef. A nice sauce, again at that stupid good price. This place is huge! I think a pizza joint in the past. Large screen tv and a consistent take out business. Street or alley parking. Food is probably 4+ stars but the pricing gets them a five!! Highly recommended in Merced.

Wow I forgot how good and cheap Noah's was. The service is always excellent and you get your food…read morefairly quick. The spring rolls are perfect and only $6 you can't beat that. The banh mi is my favorite in Merced. The meat is flavorful and all the veggies taste so fresh. I had never tried the shaking beef before, but I loved it. The meat was so tender, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the salad brought some freshness to the dish. The restaurant is pretty large and quiet so perfect for a quick dinner.
