Very nice cafe and coffee shop. I love the interior. It's a hip mix of traditional adobe architecture with modern furniture. Their coffee is great and served in hand-thrown ceramic mugs. Very beautiful place w a great outside seating area. My partner and I loved this place so much on our visit we had to come twice ! On our first visit we had the Abuelita latte and it was perfect, because it captures the essence of a mexican hot chocolate w out being too sweet. It's the perfect balance. The food here was great and the servers and cooks were very polite and welcoming. Very comfortable place to have some breakfast, lunch, or brunch. Everyone in my party loved the food. The only thing is that the food took a little long to make, but it was probably because of the great presentation and the freshness of the food. Definitely worth the wait. I've been looking forward to a visit here for a while now. After a stop at Bodega Loya for some peaches and other garden goods, we stopped in here for lunch. What I thought was a quick in and out café is more of a sit down establishment, which I was happy about because the space is so beautiful and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait around 1 pm, but the wait wasn't longer than ten minutes. While the menu options are limited, there is choice for everyone, vegetarians alike. The hummus and veggies were a delicious and hearty combo. I ordered the wrap with the jalapeño aioli, which was out of this world delicious and fresh on a very hot day. You can pick from a variety of sides and the tortilla soup did not disappoint. Our server also accommodated two very picky eaters with a deconstructed ham and cheese croissant, which took some stress out of the lunch break. Their were good tea and coffee options, too. I look forward to my next visit to Socorro so I can try more menu items, especially breakfast options. read more

Cafe CoCol i never was disrespectful to the staff like i stated again 3 time a someone from Your staff saw me. There was a customer a lady that even asked one of your staff member for something and waitress gave her a paper. I smile and and said we are here. When your "regulars"walked in Once again my autistic son. Closed the door and she was walking in. I apologize and she just made a face she walked downstairs in-front of me like nothing I stated again to your staff im Sorry we were here first. Then your "regular" made face at me. And said you're just sitting there in said yes the sing says please wait to be seated.2 more of your waitress came up acted liked friendly the your "regular" and one of them was having a personal conversation with her and a 2nd person that at this time had arrived. And told them i have a table on the hallway once again i stated i was here first. Holding my child whom was trying to ro close your doors again. Then your i stated for get it we are leaving. This place was amazing. We ventured to Cocol Cafe on a whim and it exceeded our expectations. The building is over 100 years old and there are other businesses in the enclosed area. It's a wonderful place. It is not a big menu the food is so so fresh. read more

The location alone, wow. This restaurant deserves 2 separate reviews via location and food! Walking into this mission-style hacienda style property was like stepping into a blissful alternate reality. Newly renovated, with nods to its history, with colorful contemporary furniture, set against a brightly white adobe texture--I don't know, it's music to my F'ing eyes. Took a trip to the bathroom, and dang, I feel serene in here too! Music is low key, friendly staff. We're here for breakfast, but I plan to come again at different times of day. This property includes a few businesses, that have entrances inside the hacienda courtesy, which I have yet to learn about but super intrigued at the prospect of all they have to offer. The food was good and we ate it up before I remembered to take pics! We ordered basically all the breakfast items and hummus to start. Care was taken, delicious, beautifully plated. The "out-of-the-way" cafe did not disappoint. My first time here on a busy Sunday morning, I was pleased to see its intimate feel. The historic building complements the vibe. Servers were quick to accommodate me at a table as soon as one opened up. I ordered the bacon/egg croissant, which comes with a side (ordered potatoes). While the food was good, I wasn't blown away. I'll try something off their lunch menu next time. The coffee was super hot, so I had to wait a few minutes. They do have a great selection of fresh pan dulce while one waits. I liked going here till about a month ago. Went on a weekday for brunch. When we sat the waitress got our order but took 15 minutes to bring just water. We waited and waited for our drinks as parties kept arriving and even got their food and drinks before we did. Kept trying to get waitress attention but was ignored instead. Drinks never came so we ended up getting up and leaving. A real bummer cuz I like the drinks and French toast but customer service was not there so won't be going back. read more

Located in the heart of the Mission Valley is my most favorite breakfast spot! There are many things to like about Cocol, but the Chris P Bacon Croissant is absolutetly to die for! I get mine with an over medium egg (careful, try popping that bad boy right before you bite into it) and the best part is that it comes with queso !!! you can get it with a side of potatoes or a side of fruit either way you'll be 100% satisfied. This might not be the first spot that comes to mind when you think of coffee, but it should be. I suggest you try the white mocha its foamy, rich and delicious ! When you visit don't forget to take a pic not only is your food Insta worthy and actually delicious but so is the outside and inside of this location. The word is getting out about Cocol, If you're visiting on the weekend make sure you arrive early when opening if not you're in for quite a wait time but trust me it's worth it ! read more

This place is unique in its structure and decor. I met my dad and sister for brunch on a Sunday, we waited about 15 minutes for a table to be cleaned and were finally seated in a totally different table than the one they cleaned - oh well. We ordered but after 30 minutes of waiting for our food and seeing 5 parties arrive after we did and finish eating I asked if we were being serviced. The waitress never said what was going on so I went to the counter to see what was going on. I was told they never entered our order! The food finally arrived and it was definitely not worth the wait. Nice to try but won't be returning nor recommending. read more
