    Chicken lo mein
    Sarah T.

Small restaurant with a decent size menu. They have Chinese, Korean, Thai options. The lady who took our order was absolutely sweet and friendly. She answered a few menu questions. The food came out extremely fast (will get to that later). I enjoyed the chicken lo mein it came out piping hot and flavorful. The fried chicken was its downfall for me. Because it came out so quickly I felt like it wasn't fresh. It became more apparent when biting into the fried chicken. I eat Korean fried chicken on the daily and consuming this I knew it was not the business. The batter was hard and stale tasting and the sauce was really thick and sweet (for my preference). I'd come back to try other menu items but the fried chicken just wasn't it.

This place is under new ownership/management. The menu has changed slightly. A little bit disappointing since some of my favorite menu items are no longer available. The food is still decent and the service is friendly. A good spot for a late night bite

Vegans and Vegetarians beware! Their fried tofu, "vegetarian" chicken, French fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings are fried in the SAME VAT AS MEAT! In other words, despite the first two being located under the "Vegetarian" column on the menu, they are NOT vegetarian! Also, all the Thai dishes include fish sauce, so they also are not vegetarian or vegan. The woman at the counter was very helpful, and kindly answered all my questions. (Service with a smile!) Veggies were overcooked and limp in the Spicy Braised Bean Curd with Vegetables. I requested STEAMED tofu, instead of fried, and the tofu was cooked perfectly. The sauce was very sweet, and not spicy at all! The Bean Curd with Vegetable Soup (with steamed tofu instead of fried) came in a 32 oz. container, and was thankfully not sweet. The soup's veggies were fresh and not limp. Although not labeled as such, the soup was slightly spicy, and good. There are several tables and chairs inside where you may eat on site. No table service. Everyone orders at the counter.

Very solid and we were pleasantly surprised. The wings were decently priced and came out hot and crispy. 4 tables inside to sit at.

Steamed rice, steamed pot stickers, Kung Pao beef.

Recently under new owners, the order is done at the register, very informal place but clean. Steamed rice should be a little sticky for chop sticks, it is. I had the steamed pot stickers perfect. The Kung Pao beef was tender and spicy with black mushrooms (the best). Will try Korean fried chicken, my next trip.

My favorites were the seaweed salad, squid salad, corn salad, salmon nigiri, eel nigiri, and shrimp nigiri. The rolls were a little mushy, so not my favorite. Staff was pleasant and efficiently cleared the kids and dishes that we stacked for them. I found watching the conveyor belt swooshing and hypnotic. I counted 24 different items, give or take one. I left quite full and thought I got a variety of items that made the trip worthwhile! It is super close to Emory. Place was clean and I found the tables to be comfortable. I overheard one table saying happy birthday so it would be a fun place to bring kids to celebrate! Parking was super easy, got a spot right in front as both Community BBQ and Buena Gente, their neighbors, were closed.

Mushy unflavored rolls and the nigiri was so poorly butchered. Most of the rolls are a version of western rolls like California rolls, with imitation crab or spicy tuna. The shrimp tempura rolls were mushy and the sauces on rolls were so sweet. We were excited to have a closer revolving sushi for our daughter but we'll drive the distance to Kura next time.

Despite this, the restaurant was vibrant on a rainy midweek day... Almost full to capacity with patrons. Happy my partner recommended this restaurant! I sat at the bar to place my to go order and was greeted promptly by the bartender. He brought me water and provided the QR code to order. The gentleman next to me was enjoying the Bimibap which looked very enticing, but due to the cold weather, I wanted something warm. Soup was not an option and was directed to the glass noodle dish. The glass noodles were of a sweet potato consistency and included several vegetables. I did not know that the bone marrow mentioned in the description would be an actual marrow, quite large that was discovered once I dug into my dish at home. The flavors exuded were right on point! The portion was also ample for a second meal. Will definitely return to sample the Bimibap on a warmer day and possibly some of the drinks offered. I truly enjoyed the waiting period at the bar, striking up conversation and viewing Misery which was being projected on the wall... A true horror classic. I enjoyed the atmosphere and menu offerings.

I popped into Gaja Korean Bar this past Friday... and wow…read more This place is a hidden gem for real. I've walked past it a million times and had NO idea it was even there. The vibe is super cool -- eccentric in the best way, intimate but still lively. They had a movie playing on a projector, which gave the space a whole artsy, underground feel. Now, the menu isn't exactly pescatarian‑friendly, so I couldn't go too crazy, but what I *did* try was solid. The Kimchi Fried Rice was a little on the bland side for me -- I expected more punch since it's kimchi, but the portion was perfect. Most people pair it with their signature chicken dishes anyway, which makes total sense. The Kimchi Crab Cake, though? Absolutely delicious. Packed with savory lump crab, crispy panko coating, and a little lemony finish. YUM. My boyfriend got the Gaja‑style chicken and was obsessed -- crispy, crunchy, tossed in their famous sauce, topped with tofu ranch. He cleaned that plate. Now let's talk drinks. I ordered the Sledge‑o‑matic Lover, and this is the perfect spring/summer drink. Cucumber jalapeño tequila, house‑made watermelon syrup, a splash of lime, a hint of lemon... perfection. It's listed as spicy, but it's really not -- and I'm not a spicy‑drink girlie. This one is fantastic. The service was great too -- warm, attentive, and quick. The food came out faster than expected, everything was hot, and every dish looked beautiful. Gaja really surprised me in the best way.
