I'm not a huge fan of pickles but the soy marinade toned down the sourness a bit which i loved. The kimchi chicken rice was addicting. I would have loved if the kimchi in the rice as a tad bigger, but the kimchi flavor still shined through. The sauce it came with tied everything together. It was fermented tasting, sweet, spicy and Blossom Tree put the perfect amount on it. I will definitely be trying Blossom Tree again when I am in town again!

I have an appointment for my passport, so I came here to eat breakfast. It's a lot of choices, but I love grits so that was what I ate. :-) I ordered home potatoes, grits, eggs and one sausage. My husband had fruit, corn beef hash, grits and some other items. The food was hot and delicious. Our food was pricey, because my husband had quite a few breakfast items. It's $9.49 a pound. That's a lot, if you're on a budget. But, besides that the employees are nice, and restaurant is clean and everything is fresh. If we're in the area, we may visit again.

And as a child of the late 90s, I freaking loved it. It's still upscale adjacent, but still has cozy touches that remind me of that era. There's a kitchen in the back, a full sushi bar, and a fully stocked bar. This place is great for large and small parties alike. It's actually got quite a large dining room with a nicely shaded patio. It was a bit hot in there when I visited but we were neck-deep in a GA heatwave and it is a very beautifully window-forward venue... thank God it eventually got cooler as the sun went down. I actually like that this place is a little ducked off from the chaos of Peachtree St but it's still super accessible being only a block over. I can't speak for parking as this spot is walking distance for me. The patio is shaded and clean. I'd normally opt to sit outside but it was just too d*mn hot! If you are visiting for Happy Hour, be mindful that seats are technically limited to the patio and bar. There's plenty of patio seats, but not many at the bar. I'm glad we sat at the bar. Our bartender Nicole was awesome, attentive, and just the right amount of talkative. We didn't want for anything. And she did her thing with the drinks. We were the first people in after their second shift opening and she was on it. We had a nice lil kiki with her and the others who eventually filed into the bar. It's on the smaller side, with only 12 seats. But to me (and as a former bartender), that's perfect. The rolls/apps were surprisingly filling... AF! They do not skimp on Happy Hour specials at all, and everything is served to you as if it was coming off of their standard menu. Started with the crab dip, which wasn't my favorite but hubz enjoyed. Everything else was spot on. We initially were going to order a lot thinking they'd do a typical bait-n-switch with portions... ummmm WRONG. My husband is a large guy and commonly complains about how sushi doesn't make a dent for him, and even he was taken aback by how full he was LOL. The specials are tiered (see photo) but the cocktails are a solid $8. Thank God Pacific Rim is walking distance for us because baby we went in; the deal was just too good. After 4 sushi rolls, 5 drinks (judge ya mama!), and an appetizer we clocked out around $85. Heavenly. My only point of frustration -- and this is honestly just trying to find SOMETHING to say -- is the menu presentation. It appears that they rotate the HH drink menu, and while it is attached to their list of roll prices it is overall separate from the regular menu. The HH menu lists the rolls but don't give any details as to what's in it. They give you a standard menu that DOES show this, but it's a bit of a clunky experience to play find-and-seek just to know what exactly you're ordering if you have dietary restrictions or are just plain picky. I'm not, so it wasn't a huge deal. But after a few drinks, let's just say that game of find-and-seek did get a little tricky LMAO. They had a 95A health score when I visited for those who are a little crazy about that (like me). SUPER BONUS POINTS for a clean and spacious bathroom that also happened to have the most beautiful deep scarlet red, glossy tile. There were toilet seat covers in the stalls, which I haven't seen in an Atlanta food establishment in YEARS. Fine... just take all my money at this point. They were kind, remembered me when I came in, checked on me, and really treated me like a regular. They'd even let me try new drinks that were coming to the menu, which I appreciated. Food was always on point. I loved their rice and their sushi--fresh, consistent, never really missed. It's right there in the middle of Atlantic Station too, so you can shop and then eat, or eat and then shop. Either way, it's a good setup. Thai Five was always a vibe for me.

The shrimp is not fresh but frozen, but did come with a decent serving of veggies. My food was still nice and warm when it arrived though. Overall, decent food that satisfied my cravings.
