The line gets pretty long around noon, so it's better to come early or later if you don't want to wait. If you want to order noodle soup, the wait is longer than the regular food line since each soup is made to order. Instead of waiting on the regular line on the right side, you'll have to squeeze in your order on the left side with the cashier. Sometimes there's already a short soup line in front of the cashier to place your soup order. If you're not ordering soup, then the regular food line moves pretty quickly. You pick the items you want and pay for it. Chicken Noodle Soup (made spicy unless you specify not to) $8 - It's pretty spicy if you go with the spicy option, so you might want to add your own hot sauce if you're not sure you can handle the heat. The ingredients are fresh and comes with tons of chicken, bok choy, onion and carrots. The noodles are thick rice noodles. General Tso Chicken was pretty good. I got it with a side of rice and mixed vegetables for $7. Pot Stickers 2 for $1 - These pot stickers were meat stuffed and deep fried.

I considered giving Noodle Cafe only one star, but then thought that being a bit unfair. Plus I worry that Sara M would unfriend me if I did. This is a Dragon*Con visit, around 6-ish on a Saturday. There was a line but not a long one, so I arrived at the counter in short order. Before getting there, all I had to go on in terms of options was the menu placed fairly high and mostly out of view until I got closer to the counter. Well, that was a waste of time anyway. You order whatever they have ready and you won't know that until you get close. After the helpful gentleman behind the counter waved off my first two choices (one off the aforementioned menu, one based on the signs under the counter), I selected noodles with 'spicy' thai chicken and eggplant. During this interaction, he also pointed to a sign that said something about the lunch special. Not sure how that was relevant, it not being lunchtime. Next stop was paying. Another helpful but younger gentleman asked me what I ordered so he could ring me up. Rather than guess what he wanted me to say - noodles with meat & vegetable?, specifically what meat and vegetable? - I just pointed to the box he had in front of him and said 'whatever's in there'. He opened it and rang it up pronto. Why not do that in the first place? The scene was a bit hectic (Dragon*Con) after all. So, my impression is that they could use a little organization behind the counter. But no big deal, even if I really didn't get what I wanted. The food: terrible. Chicken was tasteless, not a hint of spiciness and riddled with bad cuts. The eggplant was somehow even more tasteless than the chicken and cooked to the point of being almost a fluid. The noodles were also bland. Only liberal amounts of soy and sriracha made the whole meal palatable. I actually considered dumping it and getting something from another vendor, but I was on a schedule. Maybe I ordered the wrong items. I'd actually give this place another try, ordering something different. After all, Sara M splashes five stars on the place. Must be something to it. But my visit was not good at all.

Noodle Cafe at Peachtree Center in Atlanta is a great place to go for all things noodle bowls and rice. I really like their pad thai and some of the other dishes I was able to try out. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious and is a good option if you are hungry and need something fast and good quality. The staff here is very friendly and works hard to provide good service.

Found his while staying at the Marriott Marquis. Only a block away, this place is a food-court diamond. Hidden off to the side, you'd miss it, but let me tell you. Find it. To easily explain: its a Thai version of panda express, in model. But the flavors and quality were fresh and delicious. The lunch special is any two items and noodles, rice, or half/half. Great deal!

Mediocre mall pan-asian lunch. It's cheap and fast with a lean towards the greasy. Skip the spring roll. Has tofu for Vegetarians.

For food court food, it serves its purpose. I had a show across the street and this was a good option for a cheap and quick meal.

Poor Calvin's looked so interesting and when I sent it to my colleague, they were very interested. We took a quick Lyft ride from the conference center. What a cute restaurant! It's cozy and the space is utilized so efficiently. The staff were so warm and welcoming as well as attentive. Our lovely waitress provided vivid descriptions of each of the dishes that we either asked about or ordered, which made us even more excited to receive our meal! We started with the beignets (without the crab dip; it was supplemented with pimento cheese). They were savory and delicious, with I think pecorino cheese and balsamic glaze. It came with 4 generously sized beignets and we big had to stop after one to leave room for our meal! For entrees, my colleague got the seafood curry and I got the drunken noodles with tofu. Both of these dishes were very generous portions and quite spicy! The tofu in the drunken noodles had a very light (tempura?) batter with a sort of Chinese salt and pepper seasoning. My colleague's seafood curry came with a HUGE lobster tail, lots of mussels and other seafood plus a side of green (!) rice. Everything was so good. We had leftovers to take with us to the hotel. Highly recommend checking out Poor Calvin's if you get the chance!
