    Buffet Takeout by the pound

Your usual Chinese food. Be careful as the per pound price can escalate quickly. But overall the food is as expected

Never disappoints. Great food and happy with the pricing. My only complaint is that it can be busy at lunch and spacing may be limited.

The seafood boil was genuinely one of the best seasonings I've had in a long while. The house sauce was a perfect combination of garlic butter, lemon pepper, and cajun. Shrimp was not overcooked and easy to peel, crawfish quality was good, and the snow crab legs are always my favorite. At first, I was concerned about not receiving anything to crack the claw, but then I noticed the claw was pre-cracked for us and the rest was easily snapped by hand. We got a side of fries, which are like McDonald's fries on a good day when they are crispy. Service: 5/5 our server Jay was super nice and patient, answering our questions and happy to adjust orders. Ambiance: music including Rihanna, Bryson Tiller, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, etc. There are two individual bathrooms that were clean. There were multiple TVs playing different sports channels. Parking is available right next to the restaurant in a small lot. FYI the mixed drinks are all pre-mixed and they don't have a bartender. The margarita was super sweet and likely not tolerable for some people, but it came in a plastic bag with a flashing LED light which was cute. Still 5 stars for the food!

I was with my family and we were the only people dining it at the time for a late lunch. There were a few people that came in but I think they were just ordering take out. We ordered main dishes: chicken tikka masala, mutton biriyani, chicken 65, and palak dal. We also ordered beef, chicken, and veggie samosas and gulab jamun. Positives/favorite dishes: mutton biriyani, chicken 65, and palak dal, veggie samosa. Spice level was great, it really sneaks up on you! Portion sizes for each dish are large enough to feed a family of four! Least favorite: beef and chicken samosa- both samosas did not have much flavor and wasn't our favorite. Chicken tikka masala- we didn't like this dish as much as the others was because it wasn't creamy enough and it did not come with plain rice. I also did not like the fact that some dishes did not come with rice... we did order garlic naan and that was very good but I believe that all dishes (that aren't rice/noodle dishes) should come with plain rice. Overall, i had a great experience and i would definitely come back to try other items on the menu!

No worries, they replaced it with something even better, their Spicy Crunch Tuna roll is excellent; it's got an even better right amount of kick to it along with a very satisfying crunchy texture. This place has the best sushi, Yami Yami is over rated... You have to get here when it's fresh, like 11 AMish - 11:30 AMish. Usually I want a light lunch, so 8 pieces of their sushi, a typical small roll, is right around 6 - 8 bucks, which is half of the price of roll at Yami Yami. The sushi bar is a little bit more per pound then the regular lunch buffet, this isn't advertised or at least very clear, but it's only a dollar or two more a pound.

I have an appointment for my passport, so I came here to eat breakfast. It's a lot of choices, but I love grits so that was what I ate. :-) I ordered home potatoes, grits, eggs and one sausage. My husband had fruit, corn beef hash, grits and some other items. The food was hot and delicious. Our food was pricey, because my husband had quite a few breakfast items. It's $9.49 a pound. That's a lot, if you're on a budget. But, besides that the employees are nice, and restaurant is clean and everything is fresh. If we're in the area, we may visit again.

She was welcoming, talked about the restaurant, made excellent suggestions on all facets of the menu, helped with the wine selection and food choices and checked on us often. She is the true definition of service!! We started with cocktails and appetizers along with a bread basket. Don't skip the house old fashioned if you like bourbon. I even tried a mocktail and that was also good. Our first try with black bread. It was dense but tasty. The pimento fritters were crispy outside, creamy inside and complemented by the tomatillo jam. Calamari was perfectly done. Nice and crispy. The Caesar salad was freshly made with homemade croutons. I could go on about all the entrees but I'll leave it at this. Perfection. Not a miss among them. From the perfectly seared scallops, the duck breast or the blackened grouper we were all members of the clean plate club. We ended the night was a couple of the desserts and again winner, winner. This restaurant has been in Decatur for over 20 years and deserves all the accolades.

The valet attendant was extremely nice! He asked if we had eaten there before, told us about the specials, and made several recommendations. Our waitress was pleasant but didn't offer any suggestions -- the valet attendant was nicer and actually did more than the waitress. We started with the $7 truffle french fries (happy hour portion, 4-7pm). They were enough for both of us. Crispy on the outside and soft in the center, but there was only a light dusting of cheese on the top layer of fries. It would be better if it were sprinkled throughout the entire pile. The grilled filet mignon ($52) was not good. It looked like ground hamburger shaped into an oval and had hardly any flavor at all. The lobster ravioli ($42) was just OK and was surrounded by a thin sauce. The flourless chocolate cake ($11) was delicious, and the espresso martini was also good. So the mains weren't great, but the dessert and drinks were. There's plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. The bathroom was clean. We made reservations, but they didn't seem necessary on a Thursday evening. Highlights: Valet service, dessert, espresso martini, happy hour fries Could be better: Main dishes (filet and lobster ravioli)

I have…read morebeen a regular at the Decatur Refectory for over a year, some days by choice, some days by force. I like to believe that I have figured out all the hacks when it comes to ordering food. Here are my tips : 1) Always make a sandwich. The Refectory seems to only buy one loaf of sourdough bread a year, so make sure you save it for the days that you're *really* feeling sourdough, not just the days that you are mildly craving sourdough. My favorite combination is cheese (cheddar), onions, and pickles. If you ask nice enough, they might even grill it for you. The Refectory seems to never run out of mayo, so go heavy on that stuff. 2) Mix Sprite and fruit juice together. It's great. 3) There's no limit on how many utensils you can use at a time. I always grab a handful of spoons even if I don't need them. Sometimes I just grab one. 4) If you want to be eco-friendly, you can use a linen napkin instead of a paper one. Not only does this help the environment, but it's a great way to utilize virtue signaling in conversations later in the library. 5) They make you wear shoes in this establishment, so just keep that in mind. It's annoying, but the food is cheap, so pick your battles. They don't take credit cards, which is inconvenient, but at least this is a hip joint to show off your checkbook. I heard there's a petition going around to get them to start taking reservations, but until that makes an impact, I suggest you arrive early.

The Refectory is one of the oldest dining establishments in the Greater Atlanta area, having served…read moreresidents and passers-by since 1925. The first detail that will catch your eye is the ambiance and architecture: Gallic accents reverberate throughout the banquet room. Unapologetically pastiche, I consider the ambiance an ode to casual elegance with a deft nod to the institution's Scottish roots. The workers at this establishment are true professionals, highly attentive yet not intrusive, the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The service was impeccable, and they always memorize the daily special. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Steak Tartar, Lobster Bisque, Slow Braised Lamb Shank, Foie Gras, and the House-made Tiramisu. The beef tartar was a raw tenderloin, finely minced and super fresh with a raw egg yolk on the top served with a side of white toast. Escargots in garlic butter were simple, but impressive, and it was cool that they use edible shells. The bisque was super velvety smooth, creamy, and highly seasoned with cognac. The lamb shank and foie gras were merely very good, a step down from the other dazzling dishes. The tiramisu had whipped marscarpone and cake, sweet and infused with coffee-flavor, reminding me of my trips to Strasbourg. I also really liked the complimentary dishes; the caramelized onion tart and pear sorbet were absolute delights! Ce ñ'est pas cher! The Refectory of Decatur is still operating at the highest level, still innovating with new dishes. The cooking style here is deceptively simple, dishes having no more elements than they need, the culinary technique flawless. Sauces arrive as glorious pools, not smears, and there is no artful tweezering of edible flowers to make a prettier picture. Instead you just have to make do with glorious ingredients, beautiful cooking and superbly balanced dishes packed with flavour. The Refectory is the secret crown-jewel of the Decatur dining scene, and it has been flying under the radar for far too long. Hours are limited, and the place is really hopping at lunch, but the food and atmosphere are worth it. With this combination of knowledgeable service, and elegant dining, they'll probably have their third Michelin Star by the end of the year.
