We each ordered the combination shrimp using a third party delivery service. The food was delivered promptly. The hot food was hot, and the cold ice cream deserts were perfectly thawed. The food was neatly packaged in an environmentally friendly container. It was delicious, and I finished everything except the rice. Side note: I would have preferred less (or no) butter on the rice. That's a personal preference that's easily fixed with a simple request when ordering. I mention this to inform patrons who share my preference. It's not a criticism of the food at all. I've seen rave reviews of Coco Shrimp when the establishment was a food truck and now that Coco had a brick and mortar near me...I had to go! Upon entering, the atmosphere of the restaurant had rustic influences like exposed brick wall, stringed lights, and wooden furniture/menu signs. Hawaiian, beachy touches flourished in the surfboards hanging on the ceiling and in the music rotation of Bob Marley/Beach Boys/vacation music! I ordered a Sampler ($12.70), where you choose 3 flavors of shrimp. I chose Spicy, Coco (coconut shrimp), and butter garlic. My friend also ordered a Sampler, but unlike my Sampler ordered Lemon Herb. The prices were decent, I can see how the price would match the quality of the food. Self-serve drink area next to a hand-washing station was neat! They have a patio near the entrance where you can go out and eat. Clean tables, service was good, staff brang out our orders to our table when we expected them to call out a number and have to go and pick up our order ourselves. Some shrimp were small and some we're decently sized, none were overcooked, but my favorite were the Coco Shrimp, crunchy, served with a sweet and tangy sauce. I wasn't fond of the flavor of the Spicy shrimp, but it was above average nonetheless. My friend said the Lemon Herb shrimp tasted how you'd expect. The shrimp in both of our to-go boxes (that they serve all food in) were neatly arranged in rows atop a pile of garlic butter rice. Which is the main reason I bumped my rating down some, too much garlic butter on too much rice, it seemed excessive, coating my mouth. And while I wouldn't complain about big portions, when I took my box of rice home the garlic butter made the rice unsalvageable. But whether you order a Sampler or just the box of Coco Shrimp, it comes with a side salad (though you have the option to subsitute with extra rice) with the choice of either Ginger or Poppyseed Vinigarette as dressings. I found the Ginger dressing to be decent, not the best salad dressing I've had, my friend said the Poppyseed was pretty good though. The salad had dried cranberries, a few slices of cucumber, mainly chopped lettuce stems and some leaves...definitely not a salad I would gravitate to as I prefer more light, spring instead of crunchier salads. But this salad balanced well with the overly buttered rice, refreshed my palette! They also have a drive thru which was pretty empty, but definitely another way to get your food. Overall, I would come back but definitely ordering just the Coco Shrimp meal instead of a Sampler...also probably ask if they could exclude garlic butter on my rice. 4 stars read more

We give a lot of business to Coco Shrimp. Stopped at this location yesterday for tacos. I stated I did not want tails on shrimp via the online order notes. If the tacos come with no tails, great, doesn't hurt to mention it but an employee felt the need to be condescending letting me know those don't have tails and I didn't need to tell them to remove them in a very rude way and then proceeded to walk away smirking and shaking his head. My sister-in-law is from California and while visiting recommended this place to us after having tacos that were top notch in her book. She brought back some delicious shrimp tacos for me to try, and I was absolutely floored with the flavor and how well the meat was cooked. I don't give out very many 5 stars but this place checks all the boxes.Friendly staff,atmosphere,value and great food.I actually saw this place on Facebook and said man that looks pretty tasty.So one weekend me and my wife drove about 20 minutes to get there.And it did not disappoint.You basically get a box with six shrimp in it along with rice and a salad.They have several different flavors of shrimp so I paid a dollar more to get three different flavors.You also have a choice of different dressings for salad.Both are good but I liked the sesame one better.There was really nothing to complain about.The shrimp was good size and they all had great flavor to them.The rice was really good and had a good buttery taste to it.And the salad with that sesame dressing topped it off.Believe me you won't leave this place hungry.I just wish it was a little closer to me. read more

They're a little bit pricey for some shrimp and rice, but OMG! It is all soooooo good and totally worth it. Not sure how they've come up with the perfect mix of garlic and butter to season the rice with, but they've done it. I usually get there sweet and spicy shrimp. I love it. FYI, if you don't tell them you want double rice, they will give you rice and salad. I couldn't tell you how it tastes because the first time I ate it somebody talked me into getting double rice and I've never looked back. The only reason it gets a 4 vs a 5 is the price; it's a little pricey! It's about $30 for 2 people to eat there, which is a little pricey to me, when you could go somewhere else and be waited on, spending the same amount of money. However, the beach / surfer vibe and decorations make it a pretty laid back and down to earth feel, and the food is super duper delicious! It's also gluten free and there pretty healthy, for the most part! The service is okay; sometimes they bring your food to you, sometimes they don't. It's usually teenagers working the front registers, which is fine - they've always gotten my order correct, which is NICE, because I don't ever have to have anything corrected! However, they do need to teach them how to up-sell their sides and drinks - lol! The bottom line is I will eat here again and would definitely recommend this place! read more

The place was clean and the staff was very nice. The first thing I didn't like is ordering my meal at the cash register and expected to tip for that. I'm the 15% top is highlighted to draw the customer's attention to press that one. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the cute little basket it came in made it difficult to pick up the taco. I guess it wouldn't have mattered since the shell is very thin and would tear leaving a mess. I ended up eating it with a fork. The sauce was good, but made it difficult to taste the shrimp. It was overpowering. The taco was filled with rice and lettuce and two shrimp. I probably won't be back. Pay your staff a bit more and don't ask the customer to tip since we are the ones waiting on ourselves in the dining room.
