THE WORST! I went into the salon to get my acrylic nails soaked off, followed by a gel manicure. I wasn't paying close attention, but all seemed normal and I paid and left in a hurry. Once I was home I took a closer look, my nail posh was really bumpy and thick. 2 days later, my nails started to peel away, the acrylic AND nail was still there....the just soaked off some. I returned on the 4th day, they told me they were busy and to come back tomorrow and didn't even bother to offer a refund for a service that I did not receive! Salon was clean and they seemed to take all necessary COVID precautions. However, this is the worst manicure I've ever had, even after asking tech to fix numerous nails. Spent $45 for the SNS powder, and there are still lumps, bumps and waves in the top coat and seemed annoyed with repeated requests to fix. I really wanted to like this place, as a friend had only good things to say...might try again with another tech, but not anytime soon. Back to another salon that is further away. read more

I came here for an eyebrow wax, manicure and pedicure. Christina did a great job on my eyebrow wax and manicure. She passed me off to Jenny for my manicure. Like another review said, Jenny made one of my cuticles on my left pointer finger bleed and it hurt. Later on, after going home, I noticed 6 out of 10 of my fingers had scabs from bleeding and my right pinky finger hurts at the nail bed. In retrospect, I should have said no to being passed off but I didn't know. I do like the location, it's very clean and cute, has great selection and pricing but would avoid Jenny and use Christina. read more

I love this shop! They are so professional and kind. You are greeted immediately. I have seen several girls, each gave me a fantastic gel manicure. Unlike some shops, you get a true manicure with your gel refill. The shop is bright and clean. Everything is organized so you can see it. Hundreds of colors to choose from. While I enjoyed my gel mani last time, I tried SNS this time which I have done several times in the past at other salons and loved it. The SNS process here seemed rushed... i asked for a slightly tapered coffin shape on my short nails. I know coffin is for long nails but I like them tapered evenly just to make them look cleaner, and it always comes out nice. When I asked my nail tech for that she said it wasn't going to work cuz my nails were too short... and the sides came out lumpy and rounded which is not what I wanted. I kept asking her to smooth it out and I felt like I was annoying her so just kind of gave up. After the dipping was done, usually in the past, the nail tech will briefly use the motorized buffer to smooth the top of the nail, but they didn't do this for me at Potomac... I asked her and she took a small foam buffer and just barely skid the tops of the nails in a manner that wouldn't make them even...they are thick on my nails and partially going over my cuticle which is very uncomfortable and will probably lift up and potentially bleed pretty soon. I'm not happy. When I was paying I wanted to say something but I felt since the nail tech didn't seem to understand what I wanted it was a lost cause. I'm weary to call and ask to get it fixed because their website has a disclaimer, see photo. Since I paid and left I guess I can't complain .... :( probably going to stay away from this salon for a while unless someone reaches out to me to make things right. read more

They absolutely don't care! I asked for dip French tip and the lady Kim after cutting down my nails short she said she couldn't do it! Becuase my nails were to short, she knew I wanted dip French tip why would she cut my nails that short And on top of that she wanted to do gel!!! I didn't ask for gel ! I was referred by a friend to come here for their pedicures. Great experience! My husband came along and enjoyed his pedicure too. Very relaxing atmosphere and very clean. Each time we've gotten the spa organic pedicure once with hot stone massage. The hot stones were a little too hot for me but my husband enjoyed them. I will definitely be back! read more

Came here and originally requested a signature pedicure (with paraffin) and a gel manicure with a cat eye polish. The front desk girl was very pleasant and friendly. Annie, I believe her name was, did my nails. The pedicure was fine, a little shorter massage Than I am used to but that's ok. My nails were a completely different story though. I ended up asking for tips to treat myself instead of the original gel manicure on natural nails. I left with 3 fingers bleeding and several misshapen nails. I might give this place one more shot but overall, I am hardly impressed read more

I drive by this salon everyday on my way to work and since I don't have a regular spot, I thought I'd give it a try for their Signature Pedicure. The website has an online booking system which is convenient - plus, they send a text and email confirmation the day of booking and a reminder the day before the appointment. I was the first client that day. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The salon is beautiful and I like that the pedicure chairs have curtains between them should you choose a little privacy. A staff member asked if I would like something to drink (I saw a full "bar" with wine, coffee and soft drinks, but I declined). My technician was Chi and she was very sweet and thorough in her work and paid attention to every detail. I asked for magazines and she went and hand-picked several for me instead of simply pointing to where they were kept. She placed a lavender wrap around my neck which is a nice touch. My toes are perfectly polished, and when I return I will request Chi specifically! I gave Chi her gratuity in cash - they have little envelopes at the front so I don't know if you have the option to add it to the service charge on a credit card like at some places. If not, kind of a bummer since that's my preferred method for payment. I wanted to write this review because I saw a couple of negative ones posted and since they're a new business I felt I should post a positive experience to even the scales. Their customer service is awful. First, I made an appointment and while I was 5 mins late I did call and they indicated it would not be a problem. The appointment was for two manicure/pedicures. Thirty minutes in to my daughter's appointment I inquired about my status. The lady did she could take me in one hour. As for my daughter's nails, they were subpar. While they offer drinks, you have to ask as they aren't friendly. I believe the drinks must count against each of the technicians. While this is my third visit, I don't intend on returning. I appreciate her quick action to rectify this issue hence why I revised my review. Bad review: So I come here fairly regularly and in principle like this place but not sure if it's the owner but her name is Christine and she really dropped the ball today! I made a reservation for myself as well for a friend of mine who wanted a specific technician who I was told when booking wasn't available. Granted I booked a mani and pedi whereas my friend only wanted a mani. I arrived at my appointment which was scheduled at 11am on time starting with my pedi with the technician my friend had actually requested. I didn't mind either way and considering my friends appointment wasn't till 11.30 plus she ran late 15-20min though letting the salon know. Whilst said technician proceeded with me starting the manicure my friend arrived at last and the owner MADE the technician now swap (probably realising that my friend had requested her specifically and is also a regular) EVEN THOUGH neither myself, my friend nor the technician minded continuing to work on my manicure. This was beyond uncomfortable for everyone involved as not only did the technician have to drop everything and start again but I also had to physically swap places with my friend who was 20 min late. Again, my friend did not mind at all and realised it wasn't a problem but for the owner to make her staff swap mid-session and making it uncomfortable for everyone involved is beyond unprofessional and will cost her a client in future! Whilst I was happy with the services I received from both technicians (neither of which were at fault here!) I was not impressed with the handling of the service making me feel less than.... Even though I had booked both a mani/pedi! Based on this it's a 1* from me and I'll be reconsidering coming here.. read more

I have been coming here for the past year, u could say I'm an extremely picky person and dealing with me can sometimes be very challenging, if something is not perfect I will ask to have it redone immediately, it took me a little while to find the perfect artist for me but after finding her I would NEVER go elsewhere unless I have to relocate to another continent, lol. Her name is Emily and she does an absolutely fantastic job regardless of what kind of material, polish or shape is asked of her...for those who get, gel, acrylic or SNS, u probably know what I'm talking about but usually after a couple of weeks the end of ur nails that's grown out, lifts up and gets cut in ur hair, but with Emily doing my nails I haven't had this problem at all even within the 3-4 week mark which is when I'm due for refill, they have a very clean and beautiful place and they all treat me like family here. I even came to them for my wedding with my whole family. PLEASE definitely try EMILY, if you have ever had a bad experience with ur nail tech, she will change ur mind!!! Emily has done my nails twice now and done a phenomenal job both times. A girlfriend and I tried this place on a whim a few weeks ago and loved it, this is definitely our new spot! I tried the SNS manicure which I had on for 3 weeks before coming in for a refill and only had to get a refill to cover the growth, otherwise they were still holding on strong thanks to Emily's wonderful work. Wonderful comfortable atmosphere, wine, massages and delightful staff. My girlfriend came back and got a facial from Emily too and had a wonderful experience. Came here a week and a half ago to get sns nails done and they're already peeling off. I call to see what they can do and they tell me to come in and they'll take a look at them. I come in the next day and apparently the "owner" says they can't do anything about it..after I rushed here after work, this wasting my time.. I've had regular polish last longer than this and I work in an office, it doesn't make sense. Also while getting them done I had three different people working on my nails. Cindy gave me the best manicure! Cleaned up cuticles thoroughly, carefully polished the whole nail, wiped excess polish from base and skin. Color lasted more than a week, a first for me--I even gave the nails a workout reorganizing my whole kitchen the day after the manicure. read more

wanted to try this place bc they have a lot more color options. I got an SNS manicure and it wasn't terrible, but the woman doing my nails was definitely distracted and I wasn't completely happy w my nails afterwards. However, it was a lot cheaper than the place i normally go (metropolitan nails in the shopping center right next to this one) which was nice, so I wasn't too upset about the worse quality. In any case, if you have a more to spend on an SNS manicure and want a high quality job done i'd recommend metropolitan nails over this place. read more
