I was there yesterday for pedicure and eyebrow wax. All she did on my eyebrows was wax, no pluck or trim , not happy. For the pedicure she scraped the back of my heal with the callus remover,still can't out a shoe on. I have never complained about any service prior to this . Never go there again. read more

Since they get busy now because they have become more popular, they do a rush job and it's really bad. They make a lot of money and haven't updated it or made any changes. The facility is dirty and ill managed. It used to be okay but they are cutting corners and not taking the time to do my nails well. Their tools are in bags which makes it look like they're autoclaved HOWEVER: IF they are cleaned they have a seal that changes color and none of their bags seal changed color. it is NOT cleaned using the machine. Literally the best nail salon in Fairfield county. Clean during COVID-19! They go as far as to disinfect the bottom of your shoes when you walk in. They use brand new tools for every manicure/ pedicure. Really good prices and just a great experience. Terrible nail salon. Owner is very rude and will chase you out of the salon if you don't tip every single person that services you. If you are looking to be rushed and ignored by employees this is definitely the place to be. They take appointments over the phone but fill up on walk ins and will make you wait for your appointment. On top of that, they will rush you through choosing a color and if you want a design be sure they actually do it because they will charge you and try to rush you around to forget about it. I've been going to Coco for years. It's always clean and the staff is super friendly. I got a manicure and pedicure today and am very pleased with both. They have a great color selection as well and availability when it comes to gel, powder gel, or acrylics. Their pricing is reasonable as well. Only downside is that sometimes even if you call ahead of time you'll end up waiting. Overall it's a great salon and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new spot to try out. read more

I have been regular customer since their opening .. complete turn over in staff once they opened new shop . Anita, the owner is very rude at times as well as her staff . Recently went for gel manicure . I specifically asked for matching gel color for pedicure as well . Pedicure was done first then manicure. I mentioned to manicurist that color did not match .. he insisted it did and continued to complete my gel manicure.. Guess what .. when finished I had one two different colors ..orange on toes pink on fingers . I complained to Anita who said not her fault it's company of polishes problem .. she tried to find color to match but could not got mad and told me to find a color I thought would match myself .. I asked her to redo and she refused saying it wasn't her fault .. finally she told me to go back to chair and would redo my pedicure with the gel on my fingers so they would match ... mind you . My girlfriend had the worst experience with her daughter at this place yesterday. Her daughter was overcharged and when her daughter disputed the charge they refused to resolve the issue. The lady grabbed her daughter and pushed her down. When the mom got to the nail salon she witnessed the lady grabbing her daughter and was able to take a picture which she was able to use later as evidence when the police were called. Thankfully, the lady got arrested and is due in court next week. read more

I used to go here for years and referred my friends and I was referred by family. They've consistently declined in service. They make you wait. Came here for the first time today and had an okay experience. I walked in and it was pretty busy and I was greeted by the staff who were friendly. I was seated immediately after choosing my color. I got a manicure with the polish that stays on a little longer than regular polish. However, when I was getting my nails done it felt very rushed. The woman who was doing my nails seem preoccupied with getting to another customer and not focusing on doing my nails. 1.) she did not put on a base coat. 2.) the "hot" towel she used was lukewarm. 3.) she messed up on one of my nails and did not start over but just semi painted over the mess up. It was only about a 10 minute manicure. A little disappointing. And not very relaxing. However, there staff was very friendly and their prices are decent. Quality was good and lots of chairs for quick service. The price was a little less than others in the area, too, which was nice. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and helpful finding me the right color. And my pedi person was also very sweet. The girl that was doing my mani wasn't particularly friendly and not gentle at all on my cuticles! But she still did a good job. A lot of reviews mentioned a free massage - I was only offered the 10 minute massage you have to pay for. And the 6% cash discount essentially covers tax so it's a flat fee for the service. Awful experience. I had good experiences prior to today, but based on the gel manicure that I received I will never go again. I had a 1 pm appointment and was not seen until after 1:30 because they had taken too many walk-ins before I had gotten there. Eventually I was seen when the manicurist proceeded to cut/jab at 2 of my cuticles to the point where I was bleeding. I asked to switch to a clear manicure because at that point I wanted to get out of the salon, but he just continued with the gel manicure against my better judgment. As he was finishing, he dropped the nail file on the floor and proceeded to pick it up and use it again on my nails. I am disgusted by the lack of cleanliness with this salon and will NEVER step foot back in there especially after he did not apologize or offer any sort of discount to make up for his mistake. read more

Finally! A great nail salon, who follows health codes and takes their time with your nails and does a great job! I found this place after yet another series of going to nail salons and my nails always chipping within a couple of days & unclean places. This place is great! I made an appointment and arrived 10minutes early. They took me right in and my pedi was great! I got a regular pedicure with color match for my gel nails. The pedi was $25 and she massaged my legs and toes and really took her time. Then I got a gel color and again, they took their time but towards the end I told her I needed to be somewhere so she was able to hurry up yet keep the quality up. They offer 6% off if you pay with cash. They all their prices listed everywhere. Even when a lot of people came in they were able to accommodate everyone very fast. They use plastic cover for the pedi stations and thrown them out after every use as well as the foot scrubs. Very clean practices! If you're looking for cheap and basic, go elsewhere. I come here for the fantastic, friendly service and great quality. I've been to nearly every place in town, and Coco is the best. They provide outstanding customer service and always do a wonderful job. One time it rained, and all of the nail techs got out umbrellas to escort customers to their cars! I get UV gel nails, which are expensive no matter where you go. But most places just don't do it right, which is aggravating when you have limited time. Here, my nails are always perfect and beautiful. They last at least a week longer than other places. If ever there was a problem (rare) with a nail breaking, they took care of it quickly and without question. Their pedicures are wonderful, and they serve complimentary wine, water, coffee or tea. Cindy does an incredible job with my UV gel nails, and Lynn is outstanding for pedicures, but they all do a very good job. read more

The paraffin is lumpy and scary looking. The wrist rests are filthy. The floors are filthy. They don't do hand/arm massages and the 'free' 10 minute back massage has to be asked for. Very disappointed with my manicure experience. First of all, I walked in and received no acknowledgement until I sat down, and it was not busy at all. A woman with a name tag that said Leon did my gel manicure and she was not friendly at all. She began to clip my nails and didn't ask what length I wanted. She snipped away and left me with super short nails, which I did not want at all. While she was prepping my nails and cutting my hangnails and cuticles, she drew blood on me and didn't even acknowledge it or apologize. Later she put a green liquid on it and covered it with a paper towel, and then read the label and information on the bottle- after she already put it on my skin. If the workers there are going to put medication on their customers, they should have to be familiar with it, not read it after putting it on. After the most uncomfortable manicure of my life, she said in a very rude tone, "we're done" and then proceeded to cash me out. I didn't even want to pay after being pinched and hurt for 1.5 hours, but it came to $25 and I left a $5 tip, which I always do but she did not deserve. I just wanted to get out of there. But that's not it. I sit in my car to observe my short nails, and I notice on my ring finger, gel nail polish all over the top of my finger. Not a little bit that is unnoticeable and will wash off, but a huge smear she obviously would have seen. Too bad I noticed it in the car- I didn't want to go back in.(I will attach pictures if I can) Very very disappointed in Coco nails today, and I do not think I'll be back soon, or recommend it to anyone like I have. UPDATE: it's been a while since I've been to Coco, primarily because it's always super busy. Went back today and it wasn't crowded (Sunday afternoon) - I was able to sit down quickly for a gel polish. The first girl that sat down was not pleasant - not even a smile. When she heard I wanted a French manicure she had another girl come over, who had a slightly better personality. The manicure was fine, but I did not receive the 6% off as advertised for paying cash. I had given her my rings to be cleaned (another service advertised), however after I paid, the girl disappeared - I assume she moved on to another customer who was there for a waxing. She never came back, didn't bother to say thanks or goodbye, and I had to ask someone else to retrieve my rings. What a difference from past experiences - customer service went downhill. Perhaps they are busy enough where they don't need my business, but I won't go back. There are enough other salons in town. ************* My new favorite nail salon! After trying more places than I can count, I have finally found a salon that does a terrific job and has nail techs that know their stuff. They are clean and professional. I have been there several times and my UV gel manicure was perfect. My daughter also had a mani/pedi several times and they did a nice job - and didn't skimp on their services because she isn't an adult (some places do an abbreviated mani/pedi and still charge the same price). Got a little disappointed when a day later I broke a nail and 2 Days later I broke another!! But I called them, came right in, and they fixed them! no charge! I had an AMAZING experience here. I was in town and needed to get my nails done for a wedding. There were about 5 places to choose from in the area and after looking on Yelp I decided to go with Coco Nails and I'm really glad I did. They are extremely attentive and the place is big and clean. My Mother was with me but not getting her nails done and they made her feel very welcome. They let her sit next to me throughout the process and offered both of us free water bottles. One of my favorite parts was the free massage while I was getting my manicure. From my experience it's usually a minute long but this one was great. He took his time and even used lotion. It was $30 for a mani / pedi which is competitive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more
