I wanted to like this place. The ladies were nice and the space was clean and new but my nails came out terrible. I got a full set and asked for the coffin shape. A couple of my nails are crooked, the shape is more square than coffin, they are way too thick and not smoothed out. Just bad. I definitely won't be back unfortunately. UPDATE: Yes, I went back to get the nail that broke 2 days after getting them done just from me scratching my head and they fixed all my nails. However, 2 days after that another one broke and another a few days after that. I eventually got frustrated and popped them all off. Which was easier than it should've been. Even though they attempted to fix my nails and were very nice I still do not recommend. At least not for tips. Maybe the regular gel manicures are better, idk. read more

I wanted to like this place, especially after seeing the great reviews. How does this place have a 5 Star rating? $20 pedicure is pretty average, and for an "acrylic" fill in I'm almost positive the woman used dip gel as acrylics. The woman also was about to do one coat of gel nail nail polish (I had French done) and I had to ask her to put a coat over the French. As I was asking her she went to another table behind me so she can add polish thinner to the color she was using on me. I don't think I would come back to this place, especially after seeing the lady put thinner in the polish. Polish for pedicure seemed pretty thin too. I will usually try out new nail salons every once and a while especially if I see a good deal! the grand opening special for a gel mani + reg. pedi is what I usually get and for $40 it was a steal! The service was lovely and all the women there were very pleasant. The color I chose is looking a little washed out from my flash BUT the color is beautiful and vibrant and because I wanted a little cute simple design for my vacation coming up I found the leaf design on Pinterest and although my nails are rather short for it she made it work and look so cute! (the picture from Pinterest was on a set of long acrylics). The pedicure I received was lovely including hot stones and warmed oils on the heels and the massages given for it were nice and long as well!! Very accommodating! I originally came in looking to change a fresh gel manicure from a couple days ago. The woman who did my nails was great! She made sure the color was what I wanted. This is my second time here and loved it again. I got a regular mani and pedi (+ extra massage). I wish i remembered the names of the girls but i sadly forgot. But both did an amazing job. They are very clean and the foot massage was great. They dont rip you off on the time you paid for in which other places do. Love that their pedi chairs actually work and gives you a back massage so you can feel relaxed. My mani was nice and not painful at all after i told them that my nails are very fragile right now. Love that they didnt give me a problem with bringing my own nail hardener. They are all very friendly and i do plan to continue coming back. I tried Coco Nails after reading the reviews and being in desperate need of a mani/pedi. At least I've taken care of the mani/pedi. The shop is nice enough, but I was underwhelmed by the service. The technician was all about business and getting the service done.i wasn't paying for the enhanced pedicures so I understand, but it felt like I was keeping her from something important and she needed to finish quickly. There are other negatives that contributed to my rating. The polish is extremely thin so after only a week, my pedicure is chipping. This is unheard of if the polish is fresh and not thinned with acetone. We're talking toes!! Also, The tech didn't use a sterilized nipper. I expect to see tools pulled from the sterilizer, not the drawer. I did like the nail shape, but the buffing was done with the emery board, not a buffing block. At least I left the salon looking fine, although for just a couple days. It's difficult to find a good, sanitary salon in the area. I guess I'll have to keep looking. read more

I have never been so loyal to a nail salon. They are friendly, rarely a long wait, the salon is clean, they have an amazing $40 gel mani/pedi deal 7 days a week and a loyalty program that gives you cash back every time you go. They rub your back after your manicure and the service is prompt. The girls are so friendly, and make efforts to have conversations with you. This place is my JAM! I moved to Rutherford about 2.5 years ago and needed a new local nail salon... i stumbled into this place about 8 months pregnant without an appointment for the $40 gel mani & pedi combo. Lol imagine! The ladies were nice and super accommodating and I've been a regular since! Post covid price has gone up $5 but no problem since its the only place I've EVER gotten a gel manicure to last me a whole 2 weeks OR LONGER! I'm writing this review now bc recently in a pinch I had to go somewhere else where I paid significantly more for a gel manicure that chipped in 3 days. PLEASE READ!: This was the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had at a nail salon. Not only was I physically assaulted & pushed by a worker, had money forcefully thrown at me, lied to that a FULL bottle of nail polish was empty & unable to be used to fix my nails, I also left this salon with the most horrible gel manicure I have ever received. I came here & got a pedicure & gel manicure on Mother's Day with my mom & sister. The pedicure lasted about 10 minutes & I was left with half painted toe nails & hard calluses on my heels. After that I received the worst gel manicure with polish all built up in my cuticles & half painted finger nails. When we went to leave my mother was hounded by two employees asking her if she paid. My mother had to tell them TWICE that my sister had already paid for my moms services. They made us feel so uncomfortable. When I got home I was extremely displeased with the manicure so I called to ask if I can come in the next day to have them fixed. The lady on the phone told me to come in whenever & they would fix them. When I got there the next day I was IMMEDIATELY met with issues. The woman started to file off just the top coat & started to try to put a new top coat over my nails. I stopped her & told her she had to take ALL of the color polish off & re paint them because that was the issue. She proceeded to lie to me that she couldn't do that bc there was no more of that color polish left. Too bad for her the bottle was right there & I picked it up, opened it & showed her that the bottle was entirely full. After that I just wanted her to give me my money back since clearly this place is a scamming, untruthful business that I did not want to associate with. She told me no & that she would take them off & repaint them. She then proceeded to purposely hurt me as she took the gel polish off roughly & so I yelled & told her she was hurting me. She continuously rolled her eyes & scoffed at me the entire time. During the manicure I stopped her & told her that once again there was so much polish built up in my cuticles & that it did not look good, she then told me that I had bad cuticles & it was my fault it looked like that. I had about enough after I saw countless bubbles & fuzzes in the polish & told her to please not even continue to finish the manicure as it looked so bad. She angrily stopped & I told her to give me my money back. She agreed to give me my money back but then continued to top of the nails with the final coat. When she was done she threw my hands down & got up & walked away. A few minutes later she came back & asked me what I wanted, I told her I was waiting for my money back & then this is when the real issue happened. She started screaming at me telling me I wouldn't get my money back & to leave. I told her I wasn't leaving until I got a refund for this disgraceful work. She told me that the only way I would get a refund was if she took of the polish & then she grabbed my hands. I ripped my hands away & told her that I have a life & would not wait another hour in this place for the nails to come off. She then got cash from the drawer & threw it directly at me! I was astonished! She then proceeded to get up & walk around like a crazy person yelling at me to never come back. I told her I would NEVER COME BACK & that I would be writing a yelp review to expose this place. I also told her that I would be reporting them to the town of East Rutherford as they have an animal in this place of business which is so disgusting & unhygienic. Then as I was walking out to leave she pushed me on my back out of the salon & shut the door behind me. I was so shocked & could not believe what just happened. I will most definitely be reporting them & spreading the word about this horrible salon. See my photos attached of the manicure they let me leave with. I have been here a few times now for a mani/pedi, so I feel I can give a thoughtful review. Overall, I would say it's not bad, but not very good, either. Some points: they need to work on their customer service skills. When I entered last time, I asked if they could squeeze me in, since I didn't have an appointment. Somehow, it took several employees swarming around the appointment book, and another employee asking me inaudible questions with a mask covering her mouth, to figure it out. Then, when I left, no one helped me take off the tissues in between my toes for the pedicure and no one even looked up to say good-bye. As for the services themselves, again, mediocre. The bath for the pedicure was lukewarm (borderline cold), and I had the quickest manicure known to humankind. Literally each nail was painted in just two brushstrokes. As a result, the coverage of the nail is a little thin. Will I be there again? Probably not. I used to go to the top mani/pedi place in Bergen, but wanted to give this place a shot due to its convenient location. Lesson learned. read more

this definitely one of the best nail salons in the area. I love going to Coco's. The pedicure is great! You get hot stone massage, scrub, and the paraffin on your heals. The girl I usually have does a great job with my toes! The manicures and gel manicures have been great! Very clean job. And everyone is super nice! I love that the owner has her dogs there. They are very well behaved and don't bother anyone at all! They either sit in the back or sit with the owner. It's so cute. They also have a membership that if you pay with cash you get 6% cash back or 3% if you pay with credit card. I already got a free manicure from it! So perfect! Can't wait to go back! If I HAD to complain about something it's that I don't think there's enough color options. Especially none of the newer colors coming out. I parked my car right outside this new nail salon, and saw the gel mani and pedi deal for only $40! I peeked in through the window and really loved the deco and interior. It is new, clean and modern. Not only was the pedicure relaxing and one of the best (massage chairs, hot stone/hot lotion treatment, massage, etc.), but the gel manicure (LED) was, and is, the BEST! She put on 3 coats of nail polish, instead of the usual 2! I know this will definitely last! They also have a rewards club card and tv. Highly recommend them! I read the reviews on yelp and I had to try it out. I must say the reviews are 100 percent spot on. The employees are very nice and polite, the establishment is very clean and well kept. The have a wonderful array of colors to choose from for both gel and regular. I had the gel manicure and pedicure special I also had them add the callus treatment. I just found out the guy I've been going to for approx 10 years, is no longer at my salon in lyndhurst. What a shock !! I only went there because he was so good. Now, to find a great nail salon. As I don't want to move around. I made an appt for a gel fill in. Cindy did my nails. She did a great job. She listens to what you want. Afterwards, when my nails were done, she gave me the best shoulder, upper back mini massage. From the minute I walked in until I walked out, I have to say my experience was a good one.
