This place could be great if you're very proactive when booking... here's my experience. Booked 2 pedicures w/ 30 min foot reflexology, but kept hearing the staff say "30 min foot massage" no matter how many times I repeated "reflexology", and finally resigned myself to the fact that we were just going to receive massages, and that was fine. Reflexology is listed as a service so I'm still unclear with this. My pedicure was fine. The technician was pleasant and I was satisfied. My friend, however, received a terrible pedicure. This technician (I believe she was the receptionist or something) was very unpleasant and discombobulated. She spent most of the time wringing out her long sweater sleeves (that she kept dunking into the foot soaking basin) over my friends feet and complaining. It is also worth mentioning that she kept wiping her nose with her hand and then going back to the feet. Then the massages. My technician, albeit very kind and pleasant, just rubbed lotion on my feet for 30 min with no compression, or even pressure. My friend was luckier in this department and an actual massage therapist came and gave him a proper massage with stones. I was very jealous to see it as we paid the same price & a foot massage was the main reason for my visit- but, it is what it is. Side note worth mentioning: the girl with the wet sweater sleeves literally came back and interrupted my friends massage to complain about a gift certificate to the massage therapist (issue involving another customer), literally halting my friends massage for almost 4 minutes. Lesson I learned and why I'd give it another shot: if looking for a legit massage, ask for an actual massage therapist. This therapist's name was Clara I believe *and my friend claimed she was legitimately good. Some other positives- the place was clean and beautifully decorated. Manager seemed tentative. Most of staff was engaging and pleasant. read more

Coco Nail Spa - Good pedicure and allowed me to use my own polish. - Day Spas Near Me - Rye Brook, New York

Honestly, a complete disaster. I asked for the design in the photo and they did something completely different. It was messy and not even remotely similar to what I showed them. They charged me $95 plus a $20 tip, and I felt like I was basically forced to leave the tip. If I could give it negative 10 stars, I would. Definitely would not recommend. read more

Since moving to Rye Brook in November, I've tried 6 nail salons. I didn't try Coco until 6 weeks ago because others had better reviews, but that was a big mistake and why I'm on here writing this review now. Not only is the salon convenient to our house, they helped me grow my natural nails longer than my fingertips! For the first time in over 20 years (no joke)! And it lasts. I've now gone to them for about two months and can say that, after trying salons in Greenwich and Rye, this my favorite nail salon, hands down. Recommend you try them. Nina is my favorite ;) read more

I have been a customer since this salon opened its doors. Sadly, it's been declining over the past few years and the people running the front desk are clueless, often rude and have been making mistakes with scheduling, so when you show up, you've waisted your time as the scheduler has made your appointment for a different day. She doesn't even apologize or try to make it right, she looks you in the eye and blames you for her mistake. This used to be the best Coco spa location.... There's a great manicurist there, which is why I kept coming back but it's just no longer worth it. Very sad really as I used to love this location and have referred family and friends over the years. read more

My first and last time going here. Do not go here for a powder gel manicure. First off no one knew how to do it except for this older man. I thought this was odd especially because powder gel is so popular. My nails looked awful and cracked the next day. On top of that, they charged me $50!! I never paid that much for a powder gel manicure. read more

Never again! The place is a rip off! The cheapest spa pedicure was $59 and only went up dramatically from there. The staff has NO IDEA what's going on. I was asked my name 4 times & if I had an appointment by 4 different employees when I entered the salon. I asked for a deep leg massage and the pedicurist replied with; "if I can". What do you mean - if you can?! Needless to say the massage was unsatisfactory. One pedicurist had to be switched out midway because she didn't understand what the client was requesting. Don't waste your time or your money. Won't be back and won't refer anyone to this place. read more

I cannot recommend Coco spa enough. I have been coming here for at least 5 years now. Everyone I have had do my nails are absolutely fantastic. I go to Anne for my acrylics nail set and she is a god send, super dedicated to making sure every couple of weeks my set is beautiful and exactly the way I like it. Christine is my go to for pedicures and I am not kidding when I say that I literally will change my entire schedule just to get an appointment with her, she is that good. Both of them and everyone is the salon are extremely well trained and hygiene is very important to them. The only thing I can say is that they do get busy, so be sure to call and make an appointment, specifically make an appointment for the morning when they open as it is much quieter and more relaxing. The front desk is always super accommodating and are great with making sure that appointments are seen first. 100/10. Best of the best. I plan to continue coming here. read more

I always get a great manicure here. You have to ask them to gently trim your cuticles if you are into that. And if you are picky about your feet, like I am, then request the callus remover and extra massage. Love it! read more

HORRIBLE. I will never go back here again. $50 for a child to get her nails cut & gel polish absurd. And looking at them now they missed the sides (like the full nail not completely polished) and like overly thick (bubble like). HORRIBLE ... 1st and last. Had to go back 1 was crooked and the polish dripped over so had to have them fix it. read more

I was contemplating writing a bad review at first but I'm not because I ended up being a happy customer in the end. Went in for both a mani/pedi and was greeted warmly by the woman who works at the desk. The place is big and not loud at all. However, the person I was given barely cut my cuticles, didn't put my hands in warm water, just went straight to painting my nails. It felt rushed the entire time and my experience was nothing but unmemorable. There was also a visible space between my cuticle and where the nail polish started and the end result looked like I had them done a week prior. I went up to the desk person to ask if I could come in the next day to have them fixed and she was extremely understanding and also noticed the same mistakes I was complaining about. Went back again today and everything was SO much better. Jini did my nails and I could not have been happier. She was meticulous, took her time, cut any excess skin that I had and left my nails looking fabulous. I think they look the best they've ever looked after a manicure. I highly recommend her as I am very pleased with her. I will be returning to this salon only if she's available again. Thanks so much!! read more

This used to be a good place to get a mani/ pedi. However the last 3 times I have been there, has not been a good experience. All the good staff seem to have disappeared. Kim has not been there ( it was a Saturday) not was Jennifer whom is also very good. I was promised the best. I got the worst. My fingers were almost scrapped off me. The last time I was there, the girl almost took my finger off. The time before that the girl rushed my nails as a Clint off hers came half an hour late for her appointment. With the prices the charge I want their full undivided attention. I am very generous tipper. I am looking for someplace else . I guarantee I will not be giving big tips there anymore. I wanted to get a gel extension manicure (instead of acrylics they use gel). The technician seemed very knowledgeable and explained the process. It was my first time getting nail extensions. I got a free shoulder rub as well which was REALLY good. I liked my nails however the base of th nails weren't really done right. One nail had cracked and come off less than two weeks after. Also my cuties weren't pushed so it was apparent within a few days and my nails grow really slow. In the photos you can see the base of the nail wasn't filed so there's jagged or square edges instead of it being all files like an oval near the cuticle. That being said I would go back for a regular gel manicure. I looked at other people getting their nails done and it looked great. I just wanted the gel extension to have some length for an event. read more

They did a good job a few weeks ago when I asked for a gel manicure. However when I went back to remove the gel, and asked for it to be replaced with a regular manicure I got a rushed job, and two coats that didn't even cover the entire nail. I tipped VERY well before I got my manicure done. I had a massage and pedicure beforehand. Massage was great, pedicure was okay. Very disappointed in how they treat a returning customer. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, where it isn't SO overpriced and where they'll take their time with a client. read more

I am surprised I was not injured after the 60-minute massage I received last month. This was absolutely not a certified masseuse, and they charged almost $100. If you are not properly staffed, do not offer that service. This is a liability and a serious injury waiting to happen. I have been going here for years, and their facials and manicures are great. However, I suggest the owners hire a certified masseuse or properly train their staff, and for customers to ask for nothing less for such a price. read more

I went to the Nail Spa for a manicure yesterday. Although Yelp highlights they accept credit cards, they would not accept my card as I only had time for a basic manicure at $15. They were not going to let me run to Chase (in the same shopping mall to get money) and made me use their ATM machine. It is not the money ($.99 to use their machine plus $2.5 Chase fee) it was the principal. The service was fine but will never go back and will let my friends know. I never provide reviews, but this was insulting behavior. read more

My daughter and I have been here several times- and are always pleased with the service. Yesterday we got the worst manicures/pedicures we have ever received. My toe nails were noticeably crooked and the polish on both hands/feet is uneven. The woman who did my daughter's pedicure was clearly rushing- the pedicure was actually painful. Fortunately the woman who is usually at the desk did my daughter's manicure. She was lovely but simultaneously answering the phone and taking appointments while doing my daughter's manicure. I really hate to leave bad reviews but the poor service yesterday leaves me compelled to put this out there. If it was just my daughter or I that had a poor experience, I would chalk it up to the technician but we both left feeling like we wouldn't go back. read more

I've given this place a try over and over and never happy. Not sure why I keep trying. Spent over $100 on gel mani and a pedi to go to the Grammys last year and my nail polish peeled a day later before I even got there. Second time that happened and haven't been back since. Today, with an appointment, I waited 10 minutes sitting in the chair to get a 15 minute regular pedicure that cost $30. I'm done with this place. It's convenient but I'm disappointed every time. Too many options to keep coming back. read more

I have been getting my nails done regularly for about 25 years so I am extremely picky about where I go for mani/pedis and who does them. Coco's has NEVER let me down. From the minute I walk in the door on Saturday mornings, I am greeted with smiles from June (and whoever else is around) and it just continues until I walk out the door. During all my services, the technicians are always top notch. I started with Helen, who moved to Sundays which is why she is not longer doing my nails. Then Daniel took over and now Jini takes care of my nails. I could not be happier. I get compliments on my nails all the time! I get a 15 minute massage as well and always walk away feeling relaxed. Jay and Alex are professionals who were clearly trained. I truly feel special when I am there and cannot imagine going anywhere else! LOVE COCO'S!!!! :) :) PS - My mother feels the same way...... I have to say the store is very clean, however I can't say we were very relaxed during our appointments. We made an appt for two manicures and pedicures at 5:30pm a week or so before. Despite arriving on time, we ended up having to wait 20 min, got shuffled around by at least 3 people for both manicures and pedicures, and towards the end were very rushed. They started to clean up store as we were in the middle of getting pedicures and were rushed to pay and give tip. They kept asking numerous times if we payed and gave everyone who saw us a tip. We were going to regardless and found this insanely rude and unprofessional. read more

I have been here twice. Everyone is super friendly the moment you walk through the door. And there are so many options to choose from whether it be for nails or for back massages or even for facial enhancing. I have been coming to this nail salon for over a year now. Its clean, its bright, its welcoming as well. June is amazing and friendly, she always has a smile on her face and remembers my name as well, which makes me really happy as a customer for her to remember my name considering the site gets a lot of clients. I go for gel manicures, waxing (eyebrows/face) and lashes with Tess however i havent gone back for lashes since Tess is no longer there :( (and also because my lashes have been looking fabulous lately!) Every time i have been there they have been careful and precise with their manicures and i have been satisfied every time. The staff is friendly and of course June makes the experience overall pleasureable. I have moved away to CT however i go out of my way to come to this Coco's for my nail/waxing needs! read more

RUDE. I called to make an appt for a pedicure. I arrived a few minutes early. They weren't ready, which is fine, it happens. Then 15 minutes after my appt time they sat me and another woman down, who didn't have an appt, and started on her first while I was still waiting for a nail tech to come to me. Sorry, but I got up and left, because there are too many other salons to bother with a place that treats me like this. read more

I generally have a good time here. They're not overly friendly but I like the ambiance. Here's the thing tho , they're expensive and they don't always honor appointments. Once I went in late on a Sunday with my mother in law and daughter and they had no idea I had an appointment even though I could see my name in the book. Yesterday I went in with an old friend and paid for pedis for us. She ended up wanting to get a mani as well and I paid 50$. YES. 50! For two pedis! When I tipped , the woman at the desk goes .. "tip for two pedis .. two ". My friend was literally getting out the cash.. so I got mad at just handed them a $10. Tips are gifts. Not a requirement, and to be so forward and ask is just rude. Oh. Ps. I was never offered a free massage. . Honestly , I'll take a cheaper looking salon if I could get a friendly staff. read more

I made an appointment here for gel extensions. When I went in there were no other customers there, but a ton of employees who would walk by me without even saying hello. One woman eventually came up to me and without even asking, she brought me over to someone for a manicure (how did she know what I wanted without asking or looking up my name for the appointment?) They sat me down with Sara, she barely said a word to me the entire time. When she spoke to me the first time she asked what kind of manicure I was getting. I told her it was for gel extensions and she walked off in a huff. She did the extensions, but you could tell the entire time she was angry and didn't want to be working on my nails. I tried to speak with her and make some light small talk, she was not having it. When I had to put my nails under the UV lamp, it burned! It burned to the point where I was shaking. I asked her if she could turn it down, but she said nothing and shoved my hand back under the lamp. She shoved them so hard that my nails hit the end of the lamp and smudged the gel. She asked me what shape I wanted, I told her almond, but she did a weird rounded out square. She smudged my nails again under the lamp, so she wasn't so happy because she had to do more work to fix it. When it was finally over I paid and gave her a pretty good tip, she didn't even say thank you. I would never go here again. The gel extensions aren't cheap, and with that sort of treatment you'd expect a friendlier staff. read more

For almost four years, I have been going weekly to Coco Nail Spa for all different kinds of services. I can't even remember where or why I went anywhere else, because I wish I would have known about Coco years ago. This Nail Spa is a hidden gem in the back side of the Rye Ridge Shopping Center. The location is in a great area because of the other shops and stores this center provides. Coco Nail Spa is a luxury oasis where you can go to get your weekly manicure, monthly facial, beautiful eyelash extension or a relaxing massage when you are feeling stressed out and need some time to regroup and get your mind off things. The facility is always extremely clean and instruments sterile. From the exceptional front desk customer service to the amazing job by any of the aestheticians. I have been seeing Jini for years and she truly is the best! I know I can always trust her for any of my manicure/pedicure and facial needs. She always does a detailed and thorough job and gets both my nails and skin looking their best! I particularly love the Secrets Spa Manicure, Organic Cranberry Spa Pedicure and Cryo Therapy Facial. A lot of the services have a 10 minute special massage built into the price, which is always nice after a long day at work. I would highly recommend stopping by for any of their many services that they provide. You won't be disappointed! read more
